So why is it that I've seen several P50s now with holes in the fiberglass projector? Could there be objects that get sucked into the siren and then blasted out at high speed, puncturing the projector? Seems plausible.
I've been in Milwaukee since that video was posted and it is still there. The T-121 supposedly did replace a P-50 on the roof too, but not this one. The T-121 is pretty far from this one.
@@corby9591 It also does not have a chance of battery backup ever working. Because it uses 50HP and 3 phase the batteries you would need would be massive and you'd need a lot of them JUST to even start the motor.
If the siren I live next to got replaced by one of these ACA P-50s, I'm gonna cover my ears for every first Saturday test. I have sensitive hearing so that would be the reason why.
Dude, they'd get brain damage, 150db from a distance of 40 meters 130db already affects vision temporarily. Now imagine how much louder from 30 feet, and what it could do.
Best video of this siren on TH-cam for sure.
Haha thanks dude. It was worth freezing my ass off to record it haha
@@arey721 video is just fantastic
Good thing you weren't too close,it may well have hurt your ears quite a lot
Very cool video and cool siren! These ACA P-50s are such powerful sirens!
+Cory Modzeleski Yeah they are. Thanks!
arey1211 Anytime friend! I subscribed because it looks like you have some pretty amazing siren vids.
+Cory Modzeleski thanks dude!! i appreciate it
arey1211 Anytime friend!
arey721 God I wish the things would still be in service
Milwaukee is the one of the best sounds for P-50. THAT ECHO THO I love it!
The echoes are insane
Wow! I love the echoes and the delays at attack!
Imagine a court case is happening and the bucket disturbs
I LOVE THE SOUND!
Awesome video! Love those echoes!
Sometimes I go in Highway and I just saw it in the top of the Courthouse

If objects that are able to puncture fibreglass get sucked into the siren, the chopper would fragment...
It’s likely the vibrations from the siren (that’s how loud these are)
Yep, possibly the constant use.
If I do believe that is now replaced with a American Signal T-121?! Nice Video
Yeah I dont think so... I’ll have a look next time I’m downtown but I think I’ve seen it there as recently as a few weeks ago. But thanks!
@@arey721 It did get replaced! ); NOOO! Look th-cam.com/video/ua-iR7MiCpA/w-d-xo.html

Beast
+Blue10AEMia Totally
when you have the chance can you try and get a p-50 because i would like too see it on the ground right next to you .
Why is it slowly rotating before it starts to wind up? Is it loose or something?
Awesome video! Those church bells could never end though. Lol.
+MKE Aviation And Elevators Thanks! and i know right haha
Now presenting... The ACA P-50 which is also a rotating bucket with a chopper
has there been a sick p50 before??
what is the sound radius one mile?
2ish miles
Nah. Like 4 to 5 miles but if it wasn't windy, up to 7 miles.
Dylan DC 9000ft 70db(c)
Paul Spomer how loud are the t-135ac/dc's compared to this
Tyler Copeland this thing is the loudest siren in the world other than a mobil directo
It look huge. You could stand in it I bet. I wonder what they did to it to make it so loud.
TheJakeman789 it has a 50 hp motor and its 3 phase so its realy powerful
I bet it's expensive to maintain and operate.

A aca p50 is 6 feet big
it can fit a full grown man standing up
A building mounted P-50! Not something you see every day.
@airplanedude,yea
There's a building mounted 050 in Tennessee somewhere.Kingston maybe?
Do i hear other sirens?
Nope, all you are hearing is that siren. It's amazing how it echos doesn't it?
You can really hear the 12 port.

The p50 is not made anymore. But I see your point.
Sounds like a asc t-135 due to the fast windup
That's because it is
