i didn’t even think anyone would get upset about you buying a size that was bigger than you even in the men’s section, i like the way they turned out and most thrift store jeans are never small enough for my size and i could use this as the only way to thrift jeans so thank you:)! great video

If your machine is giving issues when sewing denim next time try hand cranking it through thicker layers. It can be a pain to do but it really helps and you won’t break your needle 🪡 . It works well for me when I’m tackling projects with thicker material like denim. 💙💙💙💙💙 Also I love your channel 💙💙💙

Quick tip for those denim buttons. Do it on concrete. It's SO difficult to hammer them on on a non sturdy surface. II think you're in an apartment, so what I would do is take it outside to the sidewalk and do it there. Do you look crazy? Yes. Is that ok? Also yes.

The reason I mention that is I wonder if mid-plus size thrifters feel like clothes are being taken from them when altering plus size clothing to fit straight sized individuals? I try best to not take away from any mid size or plus size people as I understand that thrifting can be very difficult for them. I can admit I have shopped bigger sizes (than my own) in the women's section in the past but since then I have stopped in order to allow for others to enjoy those items. The jeans I thrift flipped in this video are a men's 34, which I didn't specify very clearly in the title or the video. Men's 34 is an average size for men and is a popular size for men's jeans, especially in the thrift store. I didn't feel I was taking away from anyone because of the amount of jeans available in this size. I am a 29/30 men's so not too many sizes bigger than my current size. I mean this video in the best way, if someone had a pair of jeans that are too big, this a great alternative than buying a new pair. I only want to bring more positivity to the world and I am sorry if this upset anyone, as that is never my intension.

Highly encourage trying to not buy jeans that are not your size! There are people who rely on thrift stores. Important to consider them. Try eBay to find your exact size!

So I don't think we should make an issue where there isn't one as there is plenty to go around :) Also, eBay prices are much higher than thrift store prices, so people like me (a student with no money) who need smaller sizes are kinda stuck when it comes to thrifting, and we need to alter larger sizes. We shouldn't have to pay extra on the off chance that someone may come and pick up a pair of pants we had our eye on.
or you could buy your own size? mid-plus size thrifters already have a hard enough time actually thrifting their own size and they don't need skinny people buying double their own size for a "trend"

Marisa Blackwell, did you ever think smaller size girls have trouble finding their size? I see tons of clothes at the thrift for bigger girls like you. The large men’s denim is in much greater quantity than the small sizes. There is hardly ever anything smaller than a 30 inch waist. Get creative instead of having the poor me attitude.
