That's exactly what sacred art does, it speaks to you. We're in a conversation with who it represents, rather than worshipping the statues/icons/murals/etc. I've been learning more and more over the past year and some months how much the Catholic Church changed since Vatican II, where it is now, the history of the different devotions, prayers, orders. It's been a rollercoaster, just learning about it through your channel, Pints With Aquinas, the Catholic Talk Show, Counsel of Trent, Breaking in the Habit, and other channels different stuff i can find on Formed, and RCIA somewhere in the midst of all that. Sometimes I'm in awe of what people lived through and what they contributed to the faith, but it's stuff like the changes you just talked about that hurt me to the core. I dont even know That much about the different orders, but i can identify with the heartbreak of seeing the founder of something like that being put to the side. It's madness.😢
I receive jesus body on the tongue. I can't kneel because of my health. Ive only been refused 2 times the Holy Eucharist on the tongue. For years receiving Jesus in my hand didn't bother me. I go to receive Jesus in complete surrender, in love, in reference. I ask God for the grace and permission to receive Holy communion and show me if i have any sin. I walk out of mass with joy and peace in my heart every time.
@@thecatholicman They betrayed their founder and abandoned the monastic tradition of praying in choir using Gregorian Chant. They embraced the heresy of Modernism.
@@thecatholicman I am an Oblate of the Benedictine Abbey of St. Walburga in Colorado. I had to distance myself from them because they have not returned to the Tradition of their Father Benedict.
Reminds me of your former seminary. That video was shocking. But re benedictines why not convert their souls get a new mind a new transformed life and employ a new iconographer. They still have time.
Such a beautiful place. So sad that it's been abandoned, spiritually. 🙏🏻

This is sad to hear. Such destruction is almost sinful in my eyes, in any place where it has been done.
Sad Dom Marmion was my great great grandmother cousin I’d like to see it. His mother was French
I continue to be saddened and astounded! Sounds very 'welcoming' ! Jesus and Mary I love you save souls.

Back in the day Marmion’s Christ in his Mysteries was required reading for Irish novices in many religious orders. Challenging reading.😊
I am shocked beyond words! A very sad reality….
Ss. Gueranger & Marmion, pray for us!!!
Benedictines played a large part in the destruction of the Church.
That is a very general statement I would not go that far
