    Beautiful to see Phanteks update the case with a full tempered glass. Looks so much better. Especially a blessing design-wise combined with the 3 5.25" external drives. Which makes no sense are not simply incorporated in modern case designs but rather thrown out altogether nowadays.
    4070Ti proudly displayed, and a blu-ray player for the movie collection. What more could you want.

    bought one of these cases a couple years ago and holy crap was I surprised by the quality of the case in general. Its a very solid case with solid hardware. I want to say mine came with 2 fans up front and 1 in the back. I will say the glass panel dose limit air flow a bit, but I modded a second exhaust fan under the GPU, and Intake on the bottom of the case, having to remove the PSU divider, which enabled the install of two 240 rads on the front and top. To anyone thinking of getting this case you will not be disappointed by, once again, the build quality.

    Amazing review. Very informative and straight to the point. Thank you, you just presented my new new Cyberpunk 2077 case build! Thank you so much!!!! Finding all the part needed right now (06-28-2020 COVID-19 Pandemic) has been so stressful but I am about to finish up, avoiding all the price gougers!

    Got mine a couple days ago. Some things to note that were different from this or other reviews I've seen:
    The front panel had 2x USB3, 1x USB-C, and the audio i/o and reset switch, no more USB2.
    There were 4 locations to mount SSD, but only 1 actual mount to put it on (plus the 2x3 large bay cages).
    Mine had a 200mm front and 140mm rear fan.
    The fan hub has all 4 pin connections (I opted not to use it though).
    Mine has the split large/small window layout.

      Sounds like yours is the older model, cause the one on Phanteks site is the same one as one reviewed here, but I did see another review from 2014 that has the split window you
      mentioned. Guessing Phanteks must have refreshed the design at some point.

    Mine is coming next week! Hope I can manage to stick in an Arctic 360 while keeping the 5.25 bays for my optical drive, otherwise I'll have to go with a 280 I guess!

    • @thecurseofthegoat

    • @EttoreB93
      @EttoreB93 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@thecurseofthegoat yes but I had to mount it so the tubes face the rear of the case (so on the left), because the hdd cage would block them, they touch the side panel but are not constricted.
      Zero problems, even mounted the graphic card (radeon reference 6900xt) vertical after a month and everything fits nice (tubes don't touch the card)
      This way you can mount one optical drive on the lower bay and even an hdd in the middle one (using adapters)
      After I bought this case bequiet has unveiled their new pro case that has a nice 5.25 bay at the bottom... Check it out (but it costs more than twice the price of the enthoo)

  • @northernleigonare

    Its a shame you cant find many reviews of this case but i think Phanteks did a OK job with what you would call their revision of the old acrylic case from 2014. As for the overall look, its great. But two things that stick out for me would be that it doesn't appear, at least in this CASE.. that the PSU basement is removable, and that you cant seem to mount fans on the sides of the drive cages. These were possible on the old case and that's one reason i'm still considering getting that one over this. Even though its older i think its just a bit better. Only time will tell.

    • @coffeepot3123

      I use the 2014 version, i remember looking at the spec sheet etc of this renewed version, and i think i saw pop rivets where the screws used to be (the frame), don't take my word for it tough.
      If you want to remove the internal "dvd support frame", then you should look into this, i personally removed mine as it was held on with screws.
      Instead of the acrylic window mine came with i ordered a solid side-panel from phanteks and will receive it in about a week.

    • @RichardCyberPunk
      @RichardCyberPunk 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@coffeepot3123 At 4:39 you can see screws, so I hope that everything of the metal frame can be disasembled the same as in the old 2014 version.

      I have the Enthru pro which is similar and you can easily remove the feet setup then the bottom should be flat and you can drill and mount whatever wheels you want that will work. I have some really nice wheels from a Old Cooler Master Stacker case I'm going to fit into mine. Surprised nobody does wheels on full tower cases anyone.

      Spares for mostly all of them. Screws, shapes and sizes that you would normally use in pc building. I have the Enthoo Primo in white, and it is a beast. I just ordered the Enthoo Pro as well, (which is why i'm here commenting lol) but yes it comes with spares for mostly all of the lose-able tiny screws and pieces.

    I can find sadly only one downside.. it was better to have only one 5,25" and have a bigger grill for a 3x120mm configuration, better airflow in the case you remove all the HDD cages inside. Also the port hub looks so 2010.. it was better to have the port always visible with better quality buttons. Is modular but to use only one 5,25" optical drive seems you have to keep installed the flat panel which cover the inside of the slots, which is a waste of space in my opinion. Not a restyling overall, just a new panel but I can't find real upgrades from the previous model.
    The pro M is nice because it has just one removable 5,25" slot, but ports are in a bad position for me and just 2, too much compromise also for space inside for a similar price overall.
    Is great speaking of modularity btw, it cost around 100€ now.. what are the alternatives? With at least 3x3,5" HDD slot and similar price.. considering is a full tower. I want to replace my old CM HAF922 for better airflow (2x200mm fan but the front part is completely blocked by the various slots).. and the other alternatives are Lancool II by Lian Li or the Cooler Master H500. :)
