RAZOR CLAMMING REOPENS!! And The RAZOR CLAMS ARE HUGE!! Quick Razor Clam Limit

- Finding some Huge Razor clams, one razor clam at a time. Razor clamming with Remi my Golden Retriever for a quick razor clam limit. Razor clam digging with my basic razor clam gun. These are Pacific Razor Clams at Sunset beach. This is probably my favorite clam when it comes to clam digging. Once you locate a razor clam and start digging, you have to be quick! Razor clams are fast diggers, using that massive powerful foot of theres to dig further into the sand. This trip was a lot of fun and it was nice to finally get Remi back out to the beach and on film. I know she had a lot of fun.
If your'e new to catching razor clams, and still trying to figure out how to catch razor clams or what to look for on the beach, you will notice in the video that i point out what it is that i'm looking for as well as seeing.

For somebody like myself from the ridges and mountains of Tennessee I find this just fascinating to watch. Your Remi is just gorgeous and seemingly well behaved and obedient-good on ya.

I appreciate that you appreciate it enough to leave me a comment about it :) She got to run around free on her first trip since there was absolutely nobody around, but with how packed it was this trip, there was no way i was going to have her off her leash. I actually had a couple dogs come running up to her while i was clamming and when i looked around, there was nobody paying attention to their dogs. That kind of stuff bugs me. I don't see how some people think it's ok to just let their dogs run loose in a crowd of people, some of who have dogs on a leash. I try to be mindful of other people... thanks for the feedback :)
Or you can do what most people don’t do and invest in training your K9.

I wouldn’t leave the comment but I love this comment 🫶 can't easily say how many times I've been rushed by ppls dogs friendly & not-so. not everyone has a dog so shouldn't have to deal with other ppls. I really appreciate things like this too

I am so proud of you both and the clamming capabilities you both have....Hester aKa Puddles has been known all around the Virginia Bay Area as one of the best clam hunting'est dogs on this side of the Mississippi! The guy who made this video, Nick - William "Cutty" (as we call him) the 73rd makes a meannnnnn bowl of clam chowder. His wife sells the best poppy muffins on Sunday at our local church. Good to see you back out there. Just a suggestion, use just the "tip" of the clam neck for fish bait. Clean the body, roll in flour, egg , and panko until golden brown. Delicious!

Wow NIck, Remi's gotten big, and what a beautiful girl she is!! I wish our 2 would behave as well as she does. Goldens are such super pups, just a joy to be around, but if I let mine off leash, they'd be in Coos Bay before I could get back to the truck🙂
She definitely has gotten big! haha well I think she just behaves when she knows I'm recording, though most of the time when I'm fishing or whatever, she usually does pretty good, it's all the other times that she's a wild child. She still has a ways to go. She still gets over excited when she's around someone new... or just people in general haha

Now why do your razor clams look so different from the ones I have been getting? I'm talking about the kind you pour salt on the holes of (however that is not how we get them) but I go for quahogs every year and get at least 1-2 razors and every time I throw back. They are much thinner than these.

Can you at least share if the location is OTHER than the Astoria to Seaside beach where the best razor clams in Oregon are (So I hear). I'm looking for places to go in the Newport to Coos Bay that would be a little closer for me.

We are lucky and have just a few places that we can drive on the beach. It makes beach access much easier, but also increases the amount of trash left behind.

The most interesting video , BUT WHERE THE HECK IS FHIS BEACH . ? You never answered the other person , so stop putting up videos if you are not going to share where in OREGON .? Selfish person , “ I’m sharing this to all , but you won’t know where it is !!” First of all , if you are doing a video , you describe the day , time , season to clam and where is the most important thing !!!

I may not give the exact location but there are always indicators left throughout the video as well as the description for those who are willing to look. I was enjoying the clam catching but I gave up watching because the dog is in every frame. I was having a hard time finding razor clam content in this format and I'm turned away from this channel because of my unreasonable hatred for dogs. Hate this comment all you want, I don't care.
