As a kid I never understood when people would cry or get upset over a show. But now that I've spent almost a decade with this show/world I finally understand. Over time you connect with characters, you feel sad when something bad happens, you feel joy whenever someone does something heroic, you feel pain whenever the good guys are defeated. I absolutely love TWD and even though the writers have made some poor decisions I'm sticking with this show until the end. Thank you for making such awesome tributes and increasing my love for this show
The point of the show is that they’re the walking dead, people die and that’s life. It’s the impact that characters have that matters. In the end an entire generation that live in a world without walkers (Judith and her generation) will be there because of Rick, not because of Carl.
I know a lot of TWD's fanbase left after Glenn's death but after watching this show since I was 5 I will never stop loving it no matter how much sadness I get from watching the deaths of some of my favorite characters. I'm sad its ending after this next season but its had a good run and its opened a whole new Universe for people to create a spin off like FTWD and the new spin off starting in a year or two with Carol and Daryl.

Hell, babies have been born and grown up knowing that this is what the world is gonna be like forever. Everyone has fought so hard to become who they are today. I've developed such a string connection to each and every one of them, and when something bad happens, it hits HARD. Though there have been a few bad decisions made for the show, I have stuck with it and will continue to do so. Amazing edit, and... We are the walking dead.

the soul connection i have made to this show. i’ve grown up with them. grown up with carl. and even tho they’ve killed off almost every meaningful character to me except for daryl i will stick with this show until the end and it will forever be my #1 show no matter what. i always rewatch season by season hoping they don’t kill off glenn, beth, carl, siddiq, everyone who contributed to the good in the show, the soul of the show and it never happens and it breaks the absolute shit out of my heart.
This video is a masterpiece. Words can not describe how I still stick to this series and this video. Twd is by FAR the best series in the world and there will never be a better one for me.
@@mikeamber2528 the show went downhill when they left the prison. It’s only been good in moments since, each series seems to be more of a laboured watch. Slow-burner is the term I would use.

However, after this, there's still plenty of good stuff. The second half of season 4 is extremely underrated, as it gives many characters some much-needed character development. Rick becomes a stone-cold badass. Carol becomes tougher. Carl becomes more accustomed to the new world. Daryl and Michonne both grow as characters as they become more attached to the rest of the group. The finale was amazing, from Joe and the Claimers to the ending with Terminus. Season 5 is all around great. The only episode I would consider below average here is episode 4 (the weird Beth episode). The rest of the season is an absolute blast, with many great, emotional moments and solid action. Season 6 is a season I would consider very underrated. Yes, the dumpster thing was a little cliche, but it was pretty smart on Glenn's part. The first half of the season was mostly great. Eps 1-4 and 7-8 were solid. Only episode 5 was really meh. 6B was even better, what I would consider I fast-paced thriller which ended with the biggest and baddest TWD villain there is. Season 7-8 are what I consider the low point of the show because I do agree that they messed up a lot of stuff here. The storyline was far too dragged out and there many other issues. For one, the writing and dialogue felt like it was slacking. Characters and decisions were also poorly written. Season 9 and 10 completely revived the show, and imo it's completely back to peak season standards. Everything is an improvement from 7 and 8. I consider these two seasons to contain not one single subpar episode.
The comic was Rick and Carl’s story. The show decided to kill off Carl. Andrew Lincoln then left. The show needed to end when he left. But held on for one reason 💰 💰 💰 💰 Now the show IN MY OPINION is effectively clinging on by making Negan more human. Negan was a better character as pure evil. They’ve had to make him a likeable protagonist to replace Rick to keep viewing figures up and the show going. Had Lincoln stayed I doubt Negans story would have taken the same route. Funny how they said they had enough script to write several more seasons, then within a couple of years of Rick leaving they are now ending the show instead. The ratings have apparently dropped year by year, it’s become stale and is more of a forced watch now to know how it will end. I would love to see Lincoln return in the final season, but for me the show was about Rick and Carl’s story, and the original members, Daryl, Carol and then Maggie and Michonne. The show peaked in the first few seasons and has since been dragged out with dozens of mediocre characters and at times boring storylines. All just my opinion though.

Angela Kang has proven she can handle Rick leaving just fine, as her writing has been excellent for what she has to work with. The show ending in spring 2022 is not a surprise at all either, since that is when the comic source material will run out. Season 12 was expected to be the last season, but because of Covid, season 11 will be extended and take its place. Actually, you couldn't be more wrong about Negan. First of all, he was never "pure evil". Negan is not like the Governor or Alpha. He has some good morals and has the right idea for success. He just doesn't exactly have the best plans to get to that success. And he may be an asshole from time, but overall, he is a good person. He is being portrayed as sympathetic because he is. In the comics, Rick was there and Negan's storyline is damn near identical to the show, so no, Rick's absence has nothing to do with this.

This tribute is better than the last 6 seasons
Most of it includes the last 6 seasons, which is what makes it so great. Just because season 7-8 was mostly bad doesn't make the rest of the show bad.
