Fantastic remix, I only heard it for the first time recently at a Duran Duran night at Electronique in Sydney. It's always been one of my top five Duran Duran songs.
Can't believe we had to wait for 20 years for the most eagerly missed extended version of Duran 80ies calalog of songs... And there was an official mix after all ! Ha! I am like a kid in a sweet shop again :-)
Sounds like The Power Station with Tony Thompson on drums. I think it was recorded in the Power Station studious, I'm propably wrong. Home of my my favourite band Chic. Much missed Bernard and Tony.
Excelente Gracias por compartirlo!!!, nunca lo habia escuchado. Yo me habia hecho un mix propio muy casero, porque me ecnataba este tema y la pelicula. Un abrazo.
the best one IMO and one I remember vividly from my teen years unfortunately it may have accompanied the worst of the Bond franchise !! ENJOY THE AFTERNOON!!
Now this is the type of thing that should get released for RSD! So much worthless crap gets released on RSD and sits in the racks unwanted for months afterwards...this would make queing up outside a record shop in the cold hours before it opens worth while. This needs to see the light of day...fantastic.
i thought i just heard the best remix version from another dj here but hey ive change my miND... THIS IS MORE FANTASTIC... NOTHING BEATS THE DRUM INTRO... AND THE VOICE OF SIMON L. ECHOING ........... GREAT JOB!!
This is actually the original, official extended mix, which only surfaced two years ago almost to the day and was quickly confirmed as authentic by Steve Thompson, who did the remix with the band back in 1985 and has pics to prove it! Even John was there, despite his hazy memory regarding its existence! Edit: My memory sucks! John was NOT there, which is probably why he doesn't remember there being a 12" version ever done: www.superdeluxeedition.com/news/exclusive-steve-thompson-solves-mystery-of-a-view-to-a-kill-remix/
Um...there is no catalog number, as it was never released. Here's the proof of its legitimacy from Steve Thompson himself: www.superdeluxeedition.com/news/exclusive-steve-thompson-solves-mystery-of-a-view-to-a-kill-remix/
Excelente tema de duran duran por cierto esta película lavi por primer aves en el cine centenario usulutan el salvador aya por 1984 me impacto bastante buenisima película de don roger moore y el tema de duran duran avíen to akil 007 enla mira delos asesinos
Yes, that would be because, as 425485 said, "it was decided not to release it". NO ONE outside of the band, Steve Thompson, and probably a few studio techs and record execs would have ever heard it until it surfaced in 2014. Whatever the "Killer Mix" you say you heard was, it could absolutely not have been official. Much like the "Art of Mix" version, it must have been a "cut and paste" job, not a true remix, as no one had access to the master tapes like Steve Thompson did in this newly surfaced, official but unreleased 12" mix.
Indra WB is right about the Killer mix the watch the vid you'll see a pic of the album sleeve and it's says on the B-side the killer mix so that was the one that ended up being released
Isn't it AMAZING??!! Oh, how I "WISH" my little baby fingers could "FINESSE AND MOLEST" the stings of a bass guitar, fenderbass, banjo, ukulele...Hell, I'd settle for a violin, fiddle...or maybe even a harp...It's a variety range of very seductive AND manipulative SOUND...AWW, MY SOUL...!!!!! 🥰🥰🥰🤩🤩🤩😍😍😍💯💯💯
Man they need to dial Andy's guitar parts up more, just like they did the Bass. I think its unfair how the band mixed the synth parts above everything else in most of their tracks from Seven and the Ragged Tiger up until A View To A Kill. You could hardly hear Andy in them.
That bass by John Taylor.... truly awesome.
Youth coming back here. 80's times
ONE OF THE GREATEST POP SONGS EVER MADE!!!
RIP Sir Roger Moore thanks 4 the memories
Fantastic remix, I only heard it for the first time recently at a Duran Duran night at Electronique in Sydney. It's always been one of my top five Duran Duran songs.
At it's prime. The 80s. So good.
Love the echo on Simon's voice. Anyone can appreciate much better how beautiful it was and how beautifully he sung the song.
Love this version. One of my favourite Duran Duran songs.
Back to the 80´s !!!!!!!
Best version I've heard. Fantastic.
Oh brilliant. The echo and bass amplify the best parts of this song which is just great.
I love the sound of the band DURAN DURAN IN THE YEAR 1985,,,,,,
Fantástico, de los mejores temas y mejores remixes, grande Duran Duran, saludos desde CHILE
Can't believe we had to wait for 20 years for the most eagerly missed extended version of Duran 80ies calalog of songs... And there was an official mix after all ! Ha! I am like a kid in a sweet shop again :-)
Break this song down into it's basic chords along with the vocal line: it's pure magic. Such a gloriously beautiful song.
The song is a CLASSIC !
beautiful version .thanks
you so much for sharing.
Wow the best version
Still the best Bond theme.
waited 29 years for this 12 inch, a classic.
Fantástica versión

BEST BOND THEME EVER
Top
Siempre me gustó esta canción, desde la primera vez.
Dance into the Fire 🔥 the fatal Kiss💋 is all we need! When all we see is the VIEW TO A KILL 😲
What can I say... Amazing remix!! #DuranDuran Rocks 🎸🔥💪🏻
Surprising that this remix was never released since they released all their other hits with remixes. Especially in the 80's.
Fantastic version of the song. James Bond will return.
1:32 That's where the "John Barry" note is. It's a different progression than the normal version, which Nick Rhodes argued for.
the John Barry progression to E flat min 7th flows much better but I can really hear the Duran sound with this version.
Just stumbled across that part and I don't like it at all. I am with Nick
Love this! I'm dancing into the fire!!!!!!!
Sounds like The Power Station with Tony Thompson on drums. I think it was recorded in the Power Station studious, I'm propably wrong. Home of my my favourite band Chic. Much missed Bernard and Tony.
Their musical arrangements touch deep inside your soul,
Amazing Mix👌👌.
Great mix
THIS MIX IS HEAVEN...

The first Bond Theme to top the Billboard Hot 100.
the best one IMO and one I remember vividly from my teen years unfortunately it may have accompanied the worst of the Bond franchise !! ENJOY THE AFTERNOON!!
nah, Moonraker, and Diamonds Are Forever are worse movies.
Huh, if I were to guess which Bond theme would be first in the Billboard Hot 100 it would be _"Live and Let Die"._
For Your Eyes Only hit the charts before this also.
easton did well
In 85, this song was using the latest sampling music technology. A production masterpiece.

This is the official mix from 1985, but it was decided not to release it.
452485 A View to a Kill (The Killer Mix) was the first i heard in 1985, not this one

One of the few songs where the bass guitar takes lead..
Isn't it AMAZING??!! ONE OF MY FAVOURITE BOND JAMES BOND 007 SONG & MY NAME IS SIMON BOND,,,,,
Man they need to dial Andy's guitar parts up more, just like they did the Bass. I think its unfair how the band mixed the synth parts above everything else in most of their tracks from Seven and the Ragged Tiger up until A View To A Kill. You could hardly hear Andy in them.
Rajith Maligaspe that would be Nicks doing. He was almost always involved with the final mixes.
@@stevenallen1717 That's ironic. My first question upon hearing this remix was : Where are the guitar parts? Who mixed this, Nick Rhodes?
WOW💋
Needs to be on vinyl
Yesss
Cero, cero, siete...
How did you get a higher quality version? The one on MI6 is only 22khz and 64kbps.
TEMAZO LA FOTO DE PERFIL LA CAMBIARIA YO LO LOL XD
Hiya doc!!
Was meant to see them last week Hyde park but cancelled just wanted to see them sing this song
Is the John Barry in the credits for this the same as the John Barry Orchestra in the James Bond theme?
those frozen tears snow flakes falling on your body!
