What a great video . Thank you for introducing your beautiful daughter in a great family video. Portugal is not perfect but we always love foreigners who appreciate our country . God bless you and your family
Adding some sort of spirits to the mousse is kind of an old "secret". My parents had a restaurant here in Torres Novas between 1975 and 1981 (my mother was the cook) and one day she decided to put some Rum in the strawberry mousse, just as an experiment. The mousse sold normally and nobody said anything or complained about the different taste. The next day she made a chocolate mousse and during lunch time everybody was asking if we had strawberry mousse instead. My father asked why and all the customers who asked about it said it tasted amazingly and they wanted it again. So, to "solve" the problem, my father had the genius idea to add Rum to all the chocolate mousses that were already made to serve that day and started telling the customers to try that one and see what they thought about it. Suffice to say that it was an even bigger success than the strawberry mousse from the day before! From that moment on, my mom started adding Rum to all the mousses she made and we became known for it. There were even people who went there just for the mousse! 😄
Wow...cool story 👍 But that's true. At first, I thought it would be just like marketing or something, but no, it really gave a lighter texture and a more prominent taste. Good find 🇵🇹 As always, thank you for the interesting information 🫡
Vocês sao uma Familia cheia de energia e emoção pelas coisas lindas e gastronómicas de Portugal...voces provam tudo...gostam das comidas..do País...é isso tudo que se chama integração! Bem vindos a Portugal...para sempre !
Everything is filmed on my phone and with a drone. I used a GoPro in the past, but it couldn't handle the Portuguese summers and would overheat all the time. The only time I use a GoPro is when I'm swimming👌🙂
Great vlog man, you get the portuguese slang words right :) I'm from Setúbal, didn't know you could get choco frito in Lourinhã! I'm curious, you look somewhat eastern european, where are you from originally?
Hey, bro 🫡 I'll be coming back to Setúbal soon ✌️ You're right, I'm from that part - to be precise, Latvia 🇱🇻 But now more than happy in Portugal for 2 and half years 🇵🇹
Another great vlog! Your daughter is so cute, funny and has big muscles...lol!! I live near Torres Vedras and have yet to visit Lourinhã...WHAT?!? Thanks to you it's on my list of day trips!! Definitely going to that resto!!!
Another Thank You 👍 Yeah our daughter walks around all the time and says - dad check how strong my muscles are 😄😄😄 Lourinhã, definitely must visit, if you like super calm place without crowds 💯 See you around 🫡
@@JenShea We will! Weather looking great so I think we will this week!! Plus I am looking for an azulejos panel and need to go on the road to Santa Cruz...So, let's make a day of it!!!
You look like you are having lots of fun and an amazing journey through Portugal, love your videos, especially of Figueira da Foz, lots to see there, a beautiful place, I enjoy your down to earth reviews, makes me want to move back to Portugal from cold and dull England, have you thought about doing a video of the island of Madeira?
Hey there! 🫡 Thank you for your comment. You're right, I'm having a lot of fun in this beautiful country. Every day brings something new and surprising. Definitely come back-it's the best country to be in! 💯🇵🇹 I'll go to Madeira for sure, but I think it'll have to wait until next year. The Azores too. 👌 Take care and see you in Portugal!
Tickets are booked for beginning July, can't wait! We go every year as my in laws live in Figueira da Foz, miss the food so much, and the people are so nice, along with that beautiful blue sky.@@millionplacesoneworld
Hey there! 👋 We met our viewers who live in that area, and they told us that it's a bit crowded in the summer, but it's perfect now. Thanks for your comment!
Olá Tudos, I'm glad you got to Praia Areia Branca this time. I remember that in your first Lourinhã video you ended up exactly where I did, the first time I tried to find it as well. Thanks Google Maps! As you know, Lourinhã is one of my favourite places too. Although I love Atouguia and it's proximity to Peniche and Baleal, also has everything you need, close by. I think you missed Intermarche, unless it's gone now. It was across from Pingo Doce. It's a great small city... but I've noticed a lot of new, modern-looking apartments are going up, right in the centre of town, but the town halls. Definitely Praia Areia Branca is one of my favourite beaches in the area. Thank you for going back, although I don't think your wife was as impressed as you are ! :)
Olá Jen 🖐 Just like I said in the video, for me it's still a great place 👍 Intermarche I saw when we went back, it's next one after Pingo 😄😄😄 About Lourinhã, it's strange but I noticed price increase for a land, BUT I really fell in love with Peniche last year/this year (including Ferrel, Atouguia) and my wife, as you saw, is on Peniche side now🙂 She loved Areia Branca, but that's much more pricey area. Thank you for your comment 👍 Tchau and have a great week 🫡
@@millionplacesoneworld Maybe one day we will all be neighbours! Whether it's Peniche or Lourinhã or somewhere in between, it's all good to me! I've been looking on Idealista since 2017 and the prices in Lourinhã have gone up a lot more than those in Peniche. Everywhere has gone up, but it seems like percentage-wise, Lourinhã's prices have risen much higher. Have a great week my friend!
@@JenShea Probably Lourinhã gone more up in price because it's still Lisbon district, Peniche is already in Leiria🤔 For us Torres Vedras, Lourinhã, Peniche and Foz is one region. I would say our region 🤎🇵🇹 See you here Jen 😄
I think you are right! That makes a lot of sense (being part of Lisbon region). And yes, most definitely my region, LOL. I forgot to mention that when I was living there, there was no Uber anywhere. I heard there are Ubers in Peniche now. That’s good! Tchau for Now! 🙌🏻
I like Lourinhã!! Little, to no tourists, a lot of historical buildings, and 12km of coastline within 15 mins driving. Just perfect, man...Except for the Uber part!😂 If you don't mind asking how much was a night for that Airbnb? Love your content (The quality is clean both audio and video)...Looking forward to your next video, bro!🙌
Hey, thanks! The Uber part is manageable if you're never in a hurry 😄 We paid, I think, 56 euros from Booking.com, but that's with a discount since I'm quite often a guest all over Portugal. The regular price is about 65-70 per day👌 Take care!
Looks like you’re close to finding your perfect place to live. All the best to you and your family. 👏🏻 By the way-we always try Uber and Bolt in Pt when looking for a ride.
We are close actually 🫡 Thank you 👍 My favorite ride app is Bolt, but Uber tends to have more drivers in Portugal(Bolt is cheaper and I think less cancelation rate from drivers) 🫡

@JenShea Yes, I used Uber in Atouguia and Peniche also 👌
There's a microclimate in the Peniche area so its generally cooler, sometimes blue skies when its raining in Lisbon, and vv
I know about Peniche. It's always 2-3 degrees less. Is it the same in Lourinhã? 🤔
@@millionplacesoneworld at least in Lourinhã, Areia Branca, Zambujeira yes, idk about further inland like Bombarral
