I started shopping at Aldi during the Pandemic and love it!!! I go in, get what I need, and it’s peaceful shopping. I’ve even discovered new foods that I enjoy. I can get double the groceries for less money as opposed to Publix and Winn Dixie! The only complaint I have is their brands of water, so instead I purchase water at Publix or Winn Dixie.

Aside from the very competitive pricing and the check out speed, you never see shopping carts being left in the parking lot taking up parking spaces. Aldi’s carts are equipped with a small chain that attaches to the cart and releases for your use after you insert a quarter. When you return the cart and reattach the chain, you get your quarter back. Some folks, myself included, simply give their cart to a newly arrived shopper in the lot. It’s a small gesture but it makes for a pleasant interaction. Some insist on giving you a quarter, I simply say, pass it on.

Speaking from a perspective of a manager in a Kroger, learn when their trucks arrive. If they're normally low on, produce, or dry goods, learn when they stock them.
Normally the Kroger I work at it's Monday, Wednesday, and Friday we receive cold goods. So Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday are the best days to shop for those items.

✍Hello... I'm 79 and I'm on Social Security and I have 3 regular stores where I go to, to do my grocery shopping. ALDI, Wal-Mart and Giant Eagle and the Dollar Tree for just a few items that I only buy occasionally. The only complaint I have is this...unless you go to the Self Check-Out registers which I love by the way, the cashiers at any ALDI throw your groceries into the cart. I know the cashiers are timed But I always tell the cashier...I may be buying inexpensive groceries but that doesn't mean I'm buying Garbage so quit throwing my food. That to me is being disrespectful to the customer. I quit shopping at ALDI for quite a while so when I found out they installed Self Check-Outs I started shopping again at ALDI 💕 A few years ago they were selling a cinnamon coffee cake mix and it was delicious. I wish I'd stocked up on that mix cause my ALDI quit selling it. I've been able to save money on several grocery items. Bye from NE Ohio 🌹

Aldi is very popular- deservedly so. All the basics are there without having to maneuver through miles of junk food Iike in the big stores. But Aldi also carries a lot of specialty items , many made in Germany and other EU countries WHERE they don’t use all the chemicals like the US food factories do.
Cheeses from Grass fed cows, organic veggies, eggs, milk at an affordable price. Definitely HALF of what the pretentious big stores charge. I am grateful we have an Aldi in our small town.

My wife and I have shopped at Aldi's for years. Yes, they have raised prices but what store hasn't. Transportation, utilities, labor, etc. all factor into the costs of running the store. I still think they do very good.

Get used to some of these things you diss. The quarter cart use. I think it’s great. People return their carts. You don’t have to worry about a cart getting away from a previous user and scratching your car. Your own bags. It’s to cut down on trash and plastic in our landfills. We have only one clerk at our store which is very annoying. Some stores are starting to charge you for using their bags vs your own. Cutting corners. All CEIS MAKE MILLIONS Of dollars. case in point, The Waltons who are worth billions and their employees don’t make enuff to buy a bag of groc. Being an employee today is slavery.

@@jmb-cm7mr Organic lable is just a marketing ploy to charge more money. Anything that contains carbon atoms is organic, including most foods! Water is not, because it is H 2 O, just hydrogen and oxygen. Facts learned in high school chemistry, 52 years ago🤔

See spot...see spot run. If you have ever been in an Aldi's or heard of an Aldi's, then nothing to see here. What a waste of time! I did enjoy hearing them detail the "Twice as Nice" guarantee, as my Aldi's NEVER does it. Best they do it replace an item, which really ticks me off. One employee told me I didn't understand it, when I asked about getting it. Glad to confirm I fully understood it

It opened in my neighborhood in 2017 it wasn’t that bad. Until pandemic the prices went up double and triple. At meat dept chicken breasts tripled. Now the meat dept nearly empty. Frozen foods didn’t replenished. Understaffed including two cashiers and long lines. Produce dept some items are empty and it spoiled quickly. The last time when, I brought a few items to cashier and I was shocked how high. Good riddance! I returned to my previous grocery store.

don't purchase their potato chips due to gmo altho they are really good tasting. One bag bought, saw gmo, no more gmo - bread, snacks, cookies etc. Goes for any brand.

I don't know where you are, but, the Aldi in Macon, Georgia doesn't seem to subscribe to what you're saying here. Prices have gone up exponentially, store is in disarray, and there will be ONE cashier with 12 to 15 people in line to check out. The front door has been broken for at least 3 years and still hasn't been repaired.

No skim milk ever. Bought a loaf of bread that had gmo’s when I read the label. I buy a product I like, but never find it again. For me, it’s dairy and staples from Target or Walmart, and meat, produce and fresh bakery from a local Italian market that beats every other store in quality.

Reading the comments seems to depend on whichever state you live in and which store you go to. Here in Texas, the city I live in has a lot of organic items and quite a few items made with olive oil (I read labels) rather than less healthy oils. All I ever buy is organic, grass fed, and pasture raised.. If I go to a different store in one of the other cities, sometimes they don't have as many organic or grass fed items.

I went there last week. They did not have anything in special buys housewares (I need christmas gifts)! No deep fryers, no airfryers, no nice skillets and other great household items they generally have all stocked up!
Their prices are Not low accross the board. Their meat was really high, and I am not sure where he saw all those red tags located at because there were none!!!!! They are a good store but he is exaggerating the many low prices!!! He did not mention the high KETO prices! And yes, I have seen only 1 or 2 cashiers in busy times at 2 locations! Right after he said the ALDI cashiers are blazing fast at the checkout, why did the video show some old dude going slow as a turtle checking customers out!!!!😂😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣

I love Aldis and don't knock it till you try it. The only thing I never liked and that's their white and wheat bread. Its kept in freezers until needed on the floor so I'm guessing that might be why but its not good at all. Now the rest of their bakery items are good tasting.

I love Aldis but I find the only meat I can eat is the sausage and the beef. Their other meats make me sick. I also have to watch their pasteurized eggs, they say large but who ever fills them will give you medium sometimes or non pasteurized, regular eggs and try to pass them off.
