I honestly don't understand how people sing and play at the same time omg
SAME I CANT DO IT ON GUITAR OR UKE
you need to have the guitar portion fully memorized before you try singing. try playing slowly and humming the song at first. You can also ease your way into it by singing and then playing a single strum for each chord change. ;)
its actually really easy, just try to be in sync and you got it
a month ago i was so frustrated by the same thing but i kept playing and then one day i just did, it'll happen don't worry
I learn the song and then play the song while I hum the words and THEN I can sign to it. It takes forever XD

I just tried to learn this now and I'm not kidding my brain literally hurts trying to wrap my head around when to change the chords in the middle of the strumming pattern. Why must Tyler do this to us?
I know right I'm trying to learn it for my school but my hand a brain won't freaking cooperate, lord please help me

same i got a skateboard and a ukulele now im planning on getting drums. the good thing about the ukulele is that i havent got bored of it and it doesnt seem like i am soon so thats good at least. edit: actually i think the reason i havent gotten bored of the uke is because i never wanted one my sister had one she never used so i asked to borrow it and now it's mine
Every time i get the strumming pattern right then try to sing over it the strumming pattern gets all mixed up :( does this happen to anyone else?

practice makes perfect. It's a skill you build :) don't worry, keep playing. It'll come to you with practice.

The way I strum for this song is: Down Down Up Up Down Up Up (change chord) Down Up Down Up Down Up
for the verses. Then Down Down Up Up Down Up for the chorus.
If anyone is having trouble with this strum you could try that.

You should consider teaching his songs that he preforms acoustic on his ukulele like holding on to you or goner. I would love to learn these songs on my ukulele and there are no good tutorials out there that I have found. Anyway thanks for creating these videos!! I've really enjoyed learning these twenty one pilot songs on my own ukulele! keep up the good work!

I chnged the Dm at the beginning for a G. I find it easier and it still sounds good. Btw amazing tutorial! :)
