Love watching you work! Watching your videos has revolutionized my nail care. Only dry manicures, and Kerasal has stopped my overstretching eponichiae. At 74, my nails and hands ate in better condition than when I was 18! Also love the above nail shape, similar to mine!
I ended up getting an e file solely to remove product. I use it to remove the gel color and the first bit of rubber base. But if I'm removing all of the rubber base, it gets soaked off and my manicures are just as Anna taught me, with cuticle remover and gentle pushing. Its hard enough to get the hang of the e file just removing product, I practiced on nail swatches, boiled eggs, fruit, etc before I ever touched my nails lol. The idea of trying to groom nail folds with it is terrifying. I find that Anna's method gives a nice clean look anyway, plus it's quick, and works well on toes also!
I like the color of the first coat. I rarely wear reds, more like maroon colors. And sometimes I wear purple colors. It’s really rare for me anymore to even wear polish. I have a horrible vertical split. I really need to send you pics. You just rock, Anna! 😊❤
This client has gorgeous hands and nails- but even women who cannot grow much length can have beautiful nails when they are manicured properly and cared for!
I found it very interesting what you were saying about acetone with/without oils. The only thing I'd like to add is that by adding oils to acetone, you slow down the evaporation, rather than the opposite. I think that's a useful characteristic in removal products which I personally value. Love the video and looking forward to seeing the update!
Excellent video like always! 🥰 Those nails were gorgeous! I’m a huge fan of Dazzle Dry because of you Anna!! Thank you for all the expert advice! 🥰❤️🙏🏾🤗
I took off my dip tips Oct 17 and following all of your directions to regrow healthy nails: kerasol, jojoba oil soaks, filing short, OPI repair mode and Dazzle Dry. ❤
This has to be one of the most beautiful manicures I have ever seen.😍 Making me considering going back to Dazzle Dry after giving it a break. I might have to pick up this color and try again. I already have Love and Rapid Red...wonder if this would be any different. 🤔
Very informative I definitely file off all damage I don't do gel sns or Acrylic haven't for years now so just regular polish but if I have peeling or lines I definitely go short then grow it out then file the rest off. I need more advice on brittle dry nails that keep getting dry no matter how much I oil
Great tips, I am wondering what nail file are you using in this video? Housecleaning is the worst for nails and I am a big handwasher too. I really like Dazzle Dry and have great success with using now coat of base coat. Looking forward to seeing how this clients nails heal this time next week. Thanks for sharing, Gale =)
Hi Anna, love your videos! I have learned an immense amount of good practices from you to keep my nails healthy. But, I have a question. I find that cutting my nails with a clipper when shortening them gives a clean break to the layers and I have less splitting and breakage at the tip. Is this not a good practice, since I don’t see you doing that?
Wow that was a very informative repair video with beautiful results. I have a question, would short half cover tips have worked on those nails to protect them and perhaps prevent further cracking until the damaged part grows out? I’m not a nail tech so if that is a bad question I’m sorry. Thank you for such a great video 😊
Hi Victoria! They can create additional damage on the area that is healthy now. Also, the challenge for clients (and my situation of servicing clients) that I have to know what the client is able to maintain. This (what I did) would be easier to maintain especially when the client cannot commit (for whatever reasons, finances, time, willingness) to timely appointments. I have to figure out what is realistic for them and what is the best for them, right now, in their particular situation.
Hello could you explain why you are using pure acetone to remove the shellac? I saw other technicians just filing it down rather than removing it completely so I am just curious. Thanks :)
I have been looking for the gold buffing blocks you use so was glad to see the links in the description however, they aren’t the same as the ones in your videos. Are you just cutting them to size or are you linking to similar ones for us? Thanks for clarifying when you have a chance.
Personally I find the Dazzle Dry top coat isn't shiny after one day. I apply a coat of KB Shimmer "Clearly On Top" over my Dazzle Dry top coat for this reason. The KB Shimmer top coat is also a fast drying top coat.
Not really, Ridgefillers only mask any imperfections and from some peoples experiences they can add to the damage. Thicker and possible stronger coating, better bond = possibly more damage
@@TheSalonLife ok I might purchase. Even though I try to minimize my nails to water, they still peel off at the tips and leave an uneven nail bed. Then mail polish chips.
@@TheSalonLife Thank you. I am going to watch right now. I’m interested in investing in a small selection of Dazzle Dry polishes soon. Maybe at the next sale or promotion 💃🏻💃🏻💃🏻
Anything that is "stuck" to the nail plate can cause nail surface damage. I find Dazzle Dry causes less damage than other polishes and for sure gel polishes. Everyones nails are different. Some people can be totally fine with years of wearing gel polish and some people experience damage even with a gentle product as Dazzle Dry. I also see a pattern. Because DD lasts better and it dries so fast people love it. And they wear it ALL THE TIME. And for some people with possibly weak bond between the nail cells can cause surface damage, more damage than not wearing any polish. I don't believe polish protects the nails. Any polish can cause surface damage. It should be treated as nail decoration and with caution. Taking a day or 2 between polishing and doing warm jojoba soak and possible some treatment greatly prevents nail surface damage.
What do you recommend for us poooor Europeans that don't have access to Dazzle Dry, and want coloured nails? Orly Breathable, CND Vinlylux, something else? Thanks in advance, I always call you my nail gooroo when I pass on your nail tips and advice to friends 😂
Dazzle Dry is quite different as you know and sadly there is nothing like this available here. Other polishes, are well, regular polishes. I do like Vinylux. I haven't really tried Orly breathable. All polishes are permeable really, Orly is not really an exception. I find their brushes inconsistent (Orly's) so that turns me off. There are so many excellent brands, the Revlon Ultra HD Snap has a wonderful formula and perfect brushes (lacks in color selection). Other than the formula (so how the polish feels and dries) and the brush, polishes are matter of preference. One is not any better and healthier than the other. In my opinion Dazzle Dry is not "healthier" either. It just has some awesome benefits like the 5 min dry and no yellowing and less surface damage when worn long term. But if you are using polish once in a blue moon the benefits might not be worth the cost (of DD)
I enjoyed watching such skill and talent ! I never heard why you changed brands. Ill go watch your pros and cons now, I'm not that learned to be able to SEE the difference. Thank you ! I did like the OPI repair and understand how it can help
I dont understand why women do this to their naturally beautiful nails. In my teens i was obsessed with nail polish and even created my own colours and no one believed my nails were my own, this was before acrylic or shellac. Yet these days i am just as happy with short tiny nails and always give my nails weeks between polish to breath. A friend of mine wears nail polish back to back and her finger nails are yellowy/brown, it looks very unhealthy.
Beautiful job! I hope we'll get to see follow-ups on this client to see how their nails and experience progress over time. I have peeling and flaking nails (sent you images on Insta) and am curious if OPI Repair Mode may be an option for my situation. Is it comparable to Malava (the formula based in the U.S. with formalin)? Thanks, Anna!
I’m in love with your manicure videos and this color is amazing! You’ve officially convinced me to order a kit from Dazzle Dry 🥲 this color is the one I’m ordering for sure! Also, how do people find you for a manicure? I don’t have social medias so I can’t search on those platforms but I’ve been interested for years now to find a natural nail manicurist who is as concerned with my nail’s health, as I am. It’s so hard to find anyone to do this, it’s all Acrylics and gel extensions and most people I’ve gone to have ruined my nails. I do my own manicures every 1-2 weeks and I love the way I do it (it’s your way lol) but every now and then I like to get pampered but I don’t know how to find someone that does what you do with my nail’s health as their top priority. Anyways, thank you for sharing all of your work! You’re my therapy!

Hello Anna! Thank you so much for your educational content. I have one question left, for reparing broken nails, any nail adhesive will do?
Hello :) I would use a thin adhesive. Something that would “soak” into the nail crack

Did you use DD's prep or just acetone to wipe of the nails before applying base coat?

Yes I cut them into 4. Because I don’t reuse them

Can you share with us , at what speed do you shorten the nails?
Hello :). At about 12K RPM. It’s just natural nails so I don’t need a lot of power and speed
Do you ever use their ridge filler? I’m wondering if that would help the peeling/roughness. Thanks!
Not really, Ridgefillers only mask any imperfections and from some peoples experiences they can add to the damage.
Thicker and possible stronger coating, better bond = possibly more damage
