I agree with the other comments. You don't need to edit and you don't owe us anything. We watch because we enjoy what you do and what you provide. I happen to like many unedited videos. It's like listening to a podcast while I sew.

Unedited is absolutely fine. It’s like sitting down with a friend in person, which I love. It’s relaxing to just sit and have a cup of tea or coffee and listen to you and I also feel like I can do other things while I’m listening to you and I don’t have to be glued to the screen every minute in case I miss seeing something. I will miss the tutorials because you show and explain everything so well!!! But, I get all the hard work and time that goes into making them. You should make the most of your time in doing what you feel like doing. My daughter always says, “you do you” and I think it’s so important anymore. I will continue to enjoy whatever videos work for you. 🥰 You remind me of who I wish was when I was much younger! 😅

Thanks for all the kind words Rhonda!! And don't worry, the tutorials won't be gone entirely! I'm actually just going to be experimenting with having them be part of the bundle when you purchase a sewing pattern from me-- and then have a few shorter ones posted to the channel. Stay tuned! :)

Love your bubbly personality. I am here for your knowledge on sewing, not for perfect videos. Keep doing what you are doing.

Your channel doesn’t make you, you make your channel. Rest. Breathe. Reevaluate if you need to. Self care should be your highest priority.

Congratulations on learning to say no! It's one of the great life skills to acquire. See you next week.

Why would I look for perfect editing? That would be much too slick. Less editing is like natural linen-real, unique, more beautiful because of the little bumps here and there. Thank you for sharing your passion. I already love linen and really enjoy learning more!

Just found your channel and work recently 😍
Creating videos for youtube brings up so many thoughts and i love to talk about it too in my knitting (video) podcast . And many times i get comments back that my viewers dont mind and just want to see me. So i think a lot of it can be in our heads. But i also think this drive to find just the right thing og being too perfectionist is what keep us improving.
That said, just embrace the mistakes. English is not my first language so i have just learned not to care too much about mistakes if not i would never be able to put anything out there 😂

Omg haha I just found your TH-cam channel a couple weeks ago, too!! Totally agree on that balance between checking and honoring our perfectionism! I'm working on which things to prioritize my perfectionism on, and which things to let go :) Glad to have you here, and looking forward to following along on your channel, too!

It's crazy to spend a lot of time editing. I actually love "live" TH-cam videos, they are more like hearing a real person talk. Another thing you can do in the future, if you want, is to hire an editor. I have had to say no to so many things because I have my hands in way too many things already. Another idea is to have a paid community where you put your sewing tutorials there, or make them somehow where you need to pay for them. They are so worth it. I love your videos.

Thanks Patti! I did look into an editor and whewwww that can be pricey!! Haha but glad you can relate to the "saying no" sentiment. I'm actually going to be experimenting next month with putting my new garment-sewing tutorials in a bundle with the sewing patterns (at a slightly higher price point). It is reassuring to hear you say they are worth it!

I love your video as and the editing is not so necessary, I watch to see the real you. That’s what I like about you and your videos. I do like your tutorials but I sew a lot and have for years so even just a real speeded up video of you making a new garment even without words is fun to watch. Just to see you create. I will continue to watch, editing or not. I love you and your channel. I have just discover that I love linen.

Thank you for the kind words! Happy to have you here :) And as for the tutorials... I'm going to be experimenting next month with including the garment sew-along in the sale of my sewing pattern (at a slightly higher price)-- so you can look for it there!

First of all, you are quite good at making videos and it's a subject I'm familar with.
I've searched a lot of DIY/sewing videos and a lot of them are crap, but yours are pretty good and authentic.
It's a ton of work to create a video and maintain a youtube channel and you have 5.3K subscribers without a lot of view on your videos, so think abut why you are doing it. As your numbers are low, your videos are likely are not generating a lot of income or business for you, so is it worth it? If you like doing it, then yes, but if it's a source of stress then maybe not.
Maybe pull back and do one video a month, or take a break, or create shorter videos if it's too much.
Take care of you. Also, who are your target viewers? People like me who are trying to learn or people you want to sell your clothes to?
Figure it out and maybe even consider a branding consultant to help you grow your channel in a way that bet supports your business goals. Anyway, that's my two bits. Good luck whatever you choose.

Thank you for the kind words, and for taking the time to think this through with me! I always like to hear more perspectives and angles on it. Still taking the time to just figure out what works best for me :) Stay tuned.

If I were proficient at editing videos, I would gladly trade editing your videos for clothes. Would you consider developing that sort of relationship with someone?😘

Please dont use sticker design. I watch one with sound effects and it drove me nuts
