For a personal project one of our new employees (Riley) decided to build a Rainbow Six Blitz shield! Using lots of cold rolled steel, plasma cutting, welding, and a bunch of electronics, we have something VERY similar to the one in the game! Make sure you're subscribed to see the video when we test it out at an airsoft match -- and then actually shoots it at a gunrange!

I mean, the Blitz shield's flash does have a limited number of uses, doesn't it? I guess you could say it has to do with the LED modules overheating or something, so this one isn't that far away from the one in the game.
Erick Eudave Blitz uses phosphorus solution which works just as flashbangs. Thats why it doesnt work consistlently.

@@hoar2340 Bullet proof means that it will stop bullets (small arms fire), period. Bullet resistant means that it will stop *some* bullets, limited either by caliber or durability.
The front of an M1A2 Abrams is bulletproof; rifle/HMG rounds will not get through that frontal armor. A SWAT van is bullet resistant; there are rifles that will punch through without significant trouble.

Probably one of my brother’s favorite creations from you guys. He loves rainbow six siege, and when he saw the shield’s lights, he started shaking out of excitement! He got tired though, so he decided to rest after he was done dancing

You should talk to Ubisoft and show them what you did they are very helpful and cool. They would probably let you go to their ESports and show it off. They did it with a sledge hammer from the game.

As a rainbow six siege fan and player, I totally appreciate what the hack smith built. At six invitational we can see many fan art pieces for the operatirs’s gadgets. To see a 100% functional gadget puts a huge smile on all faces. Keep up the hard and amazing work

Kermit The Frog para bellum is the smoothest playing season in like 2 years. The last one to play yhis well was like velvet shell. Villa is amazing, ajd even with 60 rooms the map doesnt feel overwhelming or too big.

Instead of that handle on the bottom, you could probably screw in a sling that goes over your shoulders to help take the weight of the shield off of your arm. Real historical shields did similar things.

you're talking about a German SWAT buff guy who has trained for years upon years and has abs which could bounce bullets probably. What's easy for him will be near impossible for normal average people.

Yea that's definitely one thing a lot of maker TH-camrs forget to take into account, the fact that sometimes the USER is the problem, not the tech. But I prefer to look at it like he's testing how hard it for normal people to wield the shield as opposed to testing if the shield works at all.

I think Blitz used older style, disposable magnesium or zirconium flash bulbs. Hence the limited uses.

The only problem is the amount of power needed and the bulk of which would not be fun to carry at all times. So having a chemical reaction works better because it’s easier to replace and less weight

The reason almost everything from Rainbow Six Siege is actually realistic and you can make them work irl is because Ubi hired a gadget realism guy or something to make sure the gadgets are realistic. Boom. The more you know.
