The manager is such a solid dude. I order at least once every two weeks (especially the Detroit style pizzas) and I usually get to hang out a while and chat with him while waiting for the pie or just during the handoff. Some of their specialty pies and appetizers are insanely good

And I wouldn't care about the score for that nice thin pizza. Most of the time I enjoy it more at home after 8 minutes in the toaster oven at 350.... crisps things right up.... then that pizza becomes a 7.8.
I love how Dave drops in these places with no warning. Obviously he has to for a proper test of pizza integrity but it also creates the most candid interactions with owner/staff/public

Damn, reminds me of my uncle working clutch assembly in Cleveland in the 70's.....grey goatee and midwest belly...knew beer and pizza like a scientist.....and had a basement tiki bar like no other....
The owner mentioned Monterey Bay in california. If anybody's ever out there there's a pizza parlor right across from the aquarium called giovanni's. It's the best pizza I've ever had, and they have bomb ass homemade gelato.
This reminds me of the Spongebob episode when a customer calls to order a pizza but they clearly don't have them. So Mr. Krabs smashes a Krabby Pattie into the first ever Krusty Krab pizza, for you an me. And one of the best deliveries in history. Everybody knows the rules 🍕

love this place the manager is so nice they are take out only so when u dash he's always welcoming ..i also live in madison right up the street from krust 😅
The best pizza in Madison was Roccos which finally just closed down Was around since early 60s There are others there to dont know about this place Live in Florida now and havent been home since this opened Ill say this, this guy Daves talking to sure can talk Alot of good pizza north Jersey!
DAVE! You should have revisited the review with their Detoit-style. He said that is what they are known for - he was super kind and passionate about their fairly new business & product
The Detroit style signal 11 pizza is super legit. Spicy marinara and old world pepperoni with brick cheese. I get a Detroit style from Krust twice a month or so and I get to chat it up with the manager everytime no matter what hour it is lol. The guy is a legend and operates one of the only places to get good food late at night in Madison
looked damn floppy, thin crust is literally for those who want crunch/crisp edit: finishing the video, dude was absolutely respectful and humble. love that guy. deserves an 8.9 just for the personality.
He didn't ask the score. Hats off!!!
Such a genuinely wholesome and down to earth guy. I wish the score had been a little higher.
I wish Dave gave 2 shits. This is these peoples lives and they work so hard to get where they are.

Dave's a man of the people. It's great he takes the time to chat with them.
ask him the time he tells you how to build a watch

Yeah if this pie was cooked a TINY bit hotter, that would've been in the 8s with this guys personality and vibes enjoying the waves.

It was awesome! “We only do word of mouth advertising but while you’re here and the camera is rolling, let me tell you about our business.” Classic
Love Pizza 😢🎉😂❤❤❤Keep Good Jobs there
Let this be a lesson for you pizza shops out there. Dave can show up anywhere anytime so you better bring your A-game on every pie.

I know Dave didn't give two shits about what that guy was saying, but he stood there and respectfully listened. Good man.
This guy is like talking to your mom on the phone for 15+ minutes when you wanna get off but you don't wanna make her feel bad.
Hahaha it wasn’t that bad he has self awareness. Not even 3 minutes of yapping just to promote the business is more than fair
should have tried the Detroit style , that dude spoke well for his business and you did a great job listening 💵🍕
I bought weed off that manager in Giants Stadium in 1998
When he said Giordanos, I'm surprised Dave didn't interrupt him, "You mean Grimaldis?"
What a great guy. Wish it was slightly higher. Top bloke.
Funny you put it that way. He reminds me a British friend I had
He does. Many a guy like that in my local pub
Guys like this could get a 6 score from Dave and it would still drive their business up. Good guy who cares about what he's doing
7.3 pizza
8.8 manager
Everybody knows the rules
The manager should be on QVC or selling crap at the State Fair.
manager is 10

Booger sugar
Dave wanted that conversation to end as soon as it started
Going inside? That’s legit, Dave. So good.
Dave handling that pizza slice with a receipt in hand! Such a pro
Nice cameo at the end there by Ron Whites brother
Dave's a savage with that first bite.
the entire conversation Dave thinking " please don't ask what I scored it, please don't ask what I scored it"....everyone knows the rulez.
Great head of hair on the manager 👍🏻
Dave's 7.3-7.9 pizza is my style. Chewy, runny and greasy, your basic NYC corner pizza joint pizza
