I think I would have preferred a huge solo over the breakdown, for lack of a better word. I feel like it could have helped connect the rest of the song together better
I especially like the breakdown along with the whole song. I feel like Resolve is trying their hand at Life Metal (Karmanjankah, Vola, Cold Night For Alligators, Aviations, etc.)
I'm obsessed with the first half of this song and then I totally lose interest when the transition happens to the second half. I've been playing it just to hear 2 mins and then skip to the next song after the good part ends. Glad to see it wasn't just me who felt that way. It just doesn't fit and they never wrap it up with another big chorus after that point.
I actually don't mind the breakdown. Then, after the breakdown, they have the pulled back chorus/bridge that would be a perfect transition into one last massive chorus to pull it all back together, but instead they just do a 1:13 long outro from there. Just an unsatisfying conclusion for me.
Dude have you ever checked out a band called The Warning?? Think they'd be right up your alley. Recommend their song 'Automatic Sun' for a good introduction.
Man, that's funny. The 2nd half is what blew me away and completely sold me. The first half was more standard/straightforward, which usually bores me... but no wrong opinions either way. Definitely an epic song
This song just touched my soul in the deepest way possible

This track + New Colors are both truly next level.
Love this song so much. Bro, you give the best breakdowns in songs man. Always so kind and very knowledgeable. Much love brother 🫶🏾
Appreciate you man, keep smashing that fitness journey you’re doing amazing!
@ thank you brother! I got some big news for next year! Hope you and the reactors are excited!
I do find that switch up was quite strikingly different from the start, but they did such a good job weaving the two parts together at the end for me
The bridge "not fitting" is exactly why it works, in my opinion. A bridge that "fits" the chorus would have been way too typical.

It’s a weird choice
wrong. that breakdown hits in all the right spots.

Opposite for me. Glad I stuck through the first half to get to the 2nd half

Leave the guitar ❤
This song is epic for the first half, then it just gets lost in my opinion

@ I listened to it more over the last few days and the second half grew on me to be honest
They get better and better. But why is "Of Silk And Straw" so overlooked by most YTers?
Well it came out before I had a reaction channel and no one’s ever requested it on one of my streams?
React to the opening ceremony league of legends. The linkin park scene is incredible.
