Nuclear power-plants are built to withstand the impact of an airliner. These things seem indeed far more vulnerable.

This story reminded me of this : February 28, 2022.
BERLIN/FRANKFURT, (Reuters) - Germany's Enercon on Monday said a "massive disruption" of satellite connections in Europe was affecting the operations of 5,800 wind turbines in central Europe. It said the satellite connections stopped working on Thursday, knocking out remote monitoring and control of the wind turbines, which have a total capacity of 11 gigawatt (GW). "The exact cause of the disruption is not yet known. The communication services failed almost simultaneously with the start of the Russian invasion of Ukraine," Enercon said in a statement. The company said it had no further information on who or what may have caused the disruption.
Enercon has informed Germany's cybersecurity watchdog BSI and is working with the relevant providers of the satellite communication networks to resolve the disruption, which it said affected around 30,000 satellite terminals used by companies and organisations from various sectors across Europe.
BSI said it was aware that a satellite-based communications operator has experienced a malfunction and that this had restricted the maintenance of some wind turbines, without providing details.

Perfect example. And it's in that context that the blueprint for transitioning to these things is entitled, "Maine Won't Wait".

@@TheMaineReset looking at the energy situation in Europe which is where the USA 🇺🇸 wants to be. I can tell you that it is very expensive, prices are very high which leads to energy poverty.
European nations are now reliant on China for turbines and gas comes from the Islamist Qatar 🇶🇦.
There isn’t enough energy in the system to charge millions of EVs. The entire electric infrastructure can’t handle what is needed to run Europe on electricity.
France did a 180 and has declared a nuclear ☢️ energy renaissance, they are building over a dozen new nuclear reactors.
It doesn’t matter wether it is gender, electricity, migration, DEI or food production, the left is wrong.

so much I haven't thought about. I've just been thinking of environmental impacts and what not
they want to put these things up in international waters.
    (think)Nordstream pipe line.
one more reason to rethink this.
all Navy's /Air Force can Transit international waters/airspace. no matter what right?
we fly and sail wherever we want in international waters/airspace regularly.
    am I missing anything?
and now we want to transition to Green energy offshore wind Mills and put them in international waters where they can be attacked and not defended.
i should have thought of that two years ago (edit here 👉) added.
we didn't have any wars going on

Exactly! Such a huge risk. Offshore wind is truly the gift that keeps on giving...to our enemies.

Spaghetti, meet wall. You clearly have no clue our current grid is so fragile a squirrel chewing a cable can knock it down for millions

Yes. One man with a rifle can shoot and break a transformer station. It has been done in California and North Carolina.
