I had this album in 1997. No other collection was so well organized. Some of the best music ever recorded.

I still have it along with almost every Heartbeat Studio 1 cd's. Brilliant material. Lloyd Knibb (RIP) great drummer, even greater friend. I saw him about 2 days before he passed away. He said to me "don't let my music die" it was heartbreaking!

Agree, this and the Duke Reid companion “Ska After Ska After Ska” on Heartbeat basically cover the bases of everything you need to hear, minus Princess Buster, Derrick Morgan or Millie Smalls. I wish this compilation was on Apple Music as is. Fidel Castro isn’t even on there. Just the Stretching Out live versions from 1983… which are also boss, but not the original

Please put this entire release on Apple Music. There are many songs on this excellent compilation scattered randomly about, like Old Rocking Chair, for instance, an absolute essential Ska vocal and ska masterpiece. Also: Fidel Castro (the original version) is not availabe on Apple Music either, and I found myself whistling the tune this AM as I was folding my laundry, but I could not recall the name of the tune. Perhaps because this compilation is not where all my digital ska, rocksteady, reggae and dub are almost entirely played now. For real. A lot of gems are still not on Apple Music and I’m not entirely sure why. As a music fan and promoter, I am then having to point other fans to TH-cam in order to listen to it, and that doesn’t seem like a good solution. ✌️ and long live the SKA-Talite!!!
