Thank you for clarifying the differnces between the Non-O and Non-OA visas!
And, thank you for clarifying that the initial 90-day Non-O can be acquired before moving to Thailand, with proof of funds in a bank in a foreign bank account. This clears up the oft-stated chicken-and-egg problem of needing to have the funds in a Thai bank account in order to apply for the Non-O visa, yet being unable to open a Thai bank account without already having a long-stay visa in hand.

Besides a bank account, would investment accounts such as holding stocks be part of proof funds than just holding money in a checking or savings account?

For a retirement visa in Thailand, stocks and cryptocurrency are generally not accepted as proof of funds.

To set up a bank account in Thailand, visa is required. To aplly for visa, I need a Thai bank account. How do you handle this dilemma?

Hi! 800,000 THB is roughly around 23,400 USD, but exchange rates can change daily. Just make sure to check the current exchange rate to fill in the approximate amount! ☺
