    This time lapse is quite stupid, because you simply cannot turn off back side display. For longer lapsed you will drain your battery. It is possible to get power bank and USB cable to feed camera with sufficient power source. You can at least decrease a display illumination level.

    How to use built in flash for this?

    So, when the shooting is finished (500 photos at interval), does it play back like a time lapse movie? I guess I'll go out and try it!

      Hey Peter thanks for watching. Yeah it comes out with the photos at interval. I used FInal Cut to edit it down to 24 fps. This video is a good breakdown on how to put it together: th-cam.com/video/eul7PoGJarg/w-d-xo.html

    Can we shoot hyperlapse on this camera

    • @CreativeTechLab
      @CreativeTechLab  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yep. A Hyperlapse is a moving timelapse. There's no built in mode like a GoPro or anything. But it can be done.

    Great job, have you managed to do a motion Time lapse with the Crane M2? I'm going crazy

    • @CreativeTechLab

      Thanks for watching. I haven’t tried a hyperlapse yet. I was thinking of trying it with either the gimbal for a monopod. We’ll see

    have you tried a starlapse?

    • @CreativeTechLab
      @CreativeTechLab  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No I haven't. Not sure how the 2.8 apeture would work with the small sensor. But maybe I'll give it a shot.

    Is it possible to shoot timelapse with electronic shutter on RX100? Physical shutter may wear and tear very quickly with these huge number of shots

    Maybe I missed something - does the camera process the final time lapse or do you have to put it through and editing program; I’ve only just purchased the RX100 vii, my other good camera is a A6600, that has in camera processing

    • @CreativeTechLab
      @CreativeTechLab  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Shooting this way you have to process the timelapse yourself. It's a little different than the S&Q mode you may be familar with. Not sure what you edit in, but the process would look something like this: th-cam.com/video/eul7PoGJarg/w-d-xo.html
      The benefit to doing this way is you have more flexibility to edit the RAW images in post.

    Hello ! Is there a way to have shooting interval less than 1s ? (1/3s or 1/2s would be perfect for my use).
    Thank you for your video

    • @CreativeTechLab

      Unfortunately I think 1 second is the lowest.

    Thank you soo much! i was sad that i couldn't do timelapse because the app wasn't available. i was in auto mode and wasn't able to activate the mode so i thought it wasn't possible. could have thought of "P" myself as this was how functions were available on my DSLR as well. thanks!

    I would also bundle a power brick to the tripod because the battery will die.

    • @CreativeTechLab
      @CreativeTechLab  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Scott thanks for watching. Yeah if you needed to setup for a longer period a portable power bank would definitely be necessary. Surprisingly I was able to get through with this timelapse and still be able to shoot some 4K video the rest of the night on one battery.

    • @ScottsReviews
      @ScottsReviews 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      CreativeTechLab also Sony does not create the movie for you? You have build it in a 3 party program?

    • @CreativeTechLab
      @CreativeTechLab  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ScottsReviews yeah the files come out as individual stills. But it was pretty easy to drop them into FCP and and edit it up.
