I built this exact same ship and enjoyed every minute of it. It was not missing any pieces and sells for a fraction of what a Lego brand model would cost. The only part of the design that was less than ideal was that the upper decks do not lock in with studs but merely sit one atop the other. All in all I highly recommend this model to any building brick enthusist.
I own this ship and black pearl, Queen's ann, flying dutchman but this one and queen's ann is my favorite.

It is a very impressive piece. I received it as a Christmas gift. Wasn’t able to build it right away, once I got into it there were open bags so many missing pieces. Thankfully we have about 2 billion Lego pieces around I was able to find the black pieces I needed.
That's what I was fearing most... and it is unfortunate that it was your case ... but I'm glad to hear that you managed with what you already had... That's the builder's spirit!
I built this ship. Favorite build to date. Love using the black rope instead of snapping sails together. Is very difficult, especially with 2 arthritic thumbs. Cant imagine enjoying snap on sails again 😊

A very cool ship! It exactly repeats the ship "Black Pearl" from the movie "Pirates of the Caribbean"! The only thing that repels taking it is its size.

i love these big ships, only the build takes a little bit to long for me got adhd and well, started with a non pirate or historic ship The White Swan, 1200 pieces, i got t QA'sR 3100 , the swan still needs here sails and the queen is only the kiel layed i do other projects always first, i love the looks of the big black pearl, butt it wil take me a year to complete that....

I'm not very experienced and I'm struggling with this build. For some reason the side panels don't seem to want to stay on when I put the tiling pieces on. Any ideas why that could be ?
For the side pannels I had to compress that vertical section of the ship in order for it clip on entirely.. literally pressing the ship down ... carefully. It should work. Good luck 👍
