My SA made miracles happen and I was able to get all 5 pieces I ordered, including the Speedy 25. I didn’t get any of the packaging though. The rollout was an absolute mess, so many frustrated clients. Hopefully the next two go better 🙏🏼

This bag is both low-key and cheap, and there is really nothing wrong with it.
I feel like LV was very aware of the popularity, I have heard more people being disappointed than were happy. I spent hours trying to order and had no success. I hate to say it but I feel like it was a marketing plan. I honestly hate to beg companies to take my money, something feels wrong about it
They knew it was going to be popular and should have planned accordingly. Preorders should have been open for 2 weeks about 6 months or so before launch to have time to make enough to cover all preorders and then some.
Stores were a mess and had random items. Website online was not functioning properly. I still managed to purchase the side trunk, black multicolor scarf and sneakers on in white. ❤
Early in December, on a FB LV group that I’m in, there was a Murakami post about the January drop, I asked a Q on that post and a lady DMed me. She told me she worked for LV and LV was going to be very strict about preorders. She said if you’re not at least VIC within the calendar year, and your SA takes a Murakami preorder from you, that LV will eventually decline it. I didn’t think I was a VIC (but after calculating my 2024 purchases I definitely just barely met the threshold), but come Dec 12th, my SA texted me asking for my wishlist. Out of the four items I requested only the High Rise was available for preorder. So I payed. Now to the January drop day, I go in store right when they opened to pickup my preorder, the website stated a few of my wishlist pieces were at my store, I asked my SA for them and she tells me they never received a shipment (other than what their clients had preordered). So there were no Murakami pieces on display, so obviously nothing to try on. And on top of that, my store never received any of the special packaging: bags, tags, ribbons, etc. This whole drop was such a mess. Im mixed on if I think it was intentional or they just dropped the ball. How could LV have not known it would be as sought after as it is…. I’ve seen soooo many unboxing/experience videos on this drop, and many people were able to go in store and pickup the remaining pieces I attempted to preorder in December, how were pieces unavailable for preorder, but available in store… LV clearly was holding back in so many ways.
Hi Amber sorry you didn’t get your pre order. I passed on this collection. I haven’t purchased a luxury bag in over two years with no plans to in the near future. I have been totally turned off by how these brands are moving of late. I have a small collection of a dozen or so luxury bags & I am just enjoying rotating through those bags along with my contemporary collection. 🤷🏻♀️
Omg this entire launch was such a headache! I was able to order the black key pouch online but that was only after experiencing multiple error messages, constant loading & reloading on the checkout page, and hours of refreshing my cart. I knew it was going to be a popular launch, but I've never experienced anything like this with LV. I"m not sure, but something tells me this "scarcity" tactic was planned...
Hi Amber , I’m in the US and think my order went pretty smoothly considering all the delays see fellow handbag lovers posting . I’m not a VIP client but a long time client and did make quite a bit of puchases during the first 2 years of pandemic cause we had nothing else to do . As for my wishlist items , I preordered 4 ( speedy 25, small cosmetic pouch pm, Key clea and Trouville East West ) the first 3 arrived yesterday and the Trouville arriving tm. My order went pretty smoothly. Recieved items came with the ribbons and stickers . No special dust bags or tissue paper . But the speedy did come with the shopping bag . I think they also short on packaging. I hope ur items will come soon cause my SA told me they are trying to fill orders . 😊
I somehow managed (thanks to my ca) to snag a side trunk, card holder, & scarf on launch day. waiting on my ca to let me know when the toiletry pouch comes in!
I have one vintage piece that’s in excellent condition and I’m glad I do because the way this has gone that may just be the extent of it for now lol. I’ve heard January 9th and 10th so I’ll just be checking on both days. I kind of talked myself out of the hype but if I log in and something I want can be purchased I’d do it. I’m not going to get crazy about it. If it’s meant to be I’ll get it. If not I’ll vintage shop in Tokyo this spring. I won’t have any FOMO for this one. I am not a VIC or VIP, nor do I have a sales associate. I buy most of my LV bags from Europe or online. I went to a store few days after launch in NY and of course there is nothing left. But I was able to buy a pochette accessoire, marellini, Rosalie from offshore website. I believe they will restock in the US website similar to other countries so don’t worry.
Hello Amber. I'm in the UK. I always watch your videos as I love your content. Just to give you some feedback on what's been happening in the UK. I have a lot of LV pieces but I'm nowhere near VIP client status! So I knew that I couldn't pre-order from this collection knowing how popular it was going to be. I kept my fingers crossed and went to Harrods on the official launch date which was 3rd January. I went early thinking there was going to be a huge stampede of customers at the inhouse LV store fighting for pieces of this collection. I was surprised, instead, to see how quiet and calm it was! There were numerous Murakami pieces on display. Some bags, Speedy and Alma, were display only but there was quite a lot of stock available to buy. I did manage to snag one piece from store but two other items I chose had to be ordered. I wanted more pieces but was restricted to only purchasing three. This was a week ago and, so far, have not heard anymore about my order. After seeing your video, as well as others about problems with pre orders, I am now concerned that the long silence may mean my order for the other two pieces may not be fulfilled. I'm still waiting to hear from my sales associate on the 'verdict'. My payment for all three items has gone through so I'm hoping for a good result.
I’m also from the UK and had a very similar experience. The only difference is I went to Selfridges instead of Harrods. I went super early when it opened and there wasn’t that many people there. I manage to get two items. The white pochette accessories and black speedy nano in stores but I had to order the white speedy nano. I was told that it’s 3 items per costumers. I haven’t heard anything from my SA yet either about the white speedy nano. I even went to LV on new Bond Street also again no line.
Hi Amber…… great video. I have the white speedy from the original collection and a few other pieces that match it. Nothing will ever come close to the originals. We are lucky we have the original pieces and we didn’t have to spend today’s lv prices for them. I just wanted a small pieces but if it’s not ment to be it’s ok. I went to Gucci today and the salesperson told me that they often can't tell the difference between an authentic and a *regbags* bag. Surprised to hear that from the SA.
True to form for LV anymore. I originally wasn’t planning to order anything. I had several pieces from the original launch - many of which I sold and my bag was a recall as the color bled thru to the white. I could have kept it but, had grown out of the style. I ultimately did decide to order a Rosalie (as it is a wallet I carry frequently) just to have a piece of the collection. Ironically, I phoned my SA as they had one in the store and she said they were advised the pieces were for display only - they weren’t selling their pieces, only ordering. What a joke - that piece was gone in a heartbeat. My order is still pending and honestly don’t care if it’s cancelled - too many other nice items to be had than a piece which I feel personally will become dated and I see as trendy. These brands don’t realize when they treat their clients this way, it becomes a huge turnoff to the brand.
Happy New Year Amber 🎉 I do not believe that this is a marketing stunt because of the unorganized chaos. If it was planned every store would have gotten packaging but so many stores did not receive packaging. My CA sent me a pay link for my preorder on 12/28 & my other CA contacted me as well. My CA did say nothing was guaranteed. Fortunately my local CA was able to get 2 out 3 items on my wishlist. I was able to pick up my speedy 25 on launch but still waiting for my Romy in Kawaii pink. I also noticed that LV did not launch Murakami the way they did Kusama with all the art installations & all the fanfare & that collection was a disaster so maybe LV was erring on the side of caution, it’s not like LV to leave money at the table. You should read the Murakami thread on pursefirum because it will give you better insight into the situation on a global scale. Many VICs did not get their preorders so that’s why I don’t think this is a marketing ploy. ❤
Thats the only collaboration i adored always because it so fun and artistic and fits my taste. I don't like boring old money style colors and don't own any thing 🟤. I ll go pop up store here nyc to see what they have and have experience there.
Hi Amber, I went into the store yesterday and they told me they sold out in an hour. On Drop Day, I spoke with a CSR and she told me the stores couldn't help, (if it was unavailable online they couldn't place the order), she didn't even transfer me like I asked after a 35 min wait. Also, I feel this was a purposeful strategy, to set the groundwork for increased prices. It was clear stores only had a certain number of items (unreasonably limited). Also, there were several times, I had the Alma BB in my cart, put in my payment information and when I selected pay, the system would just spend and then I would get the item is not available. This actually happened to me twice. It was as if the item was there, but I couldn't check it out. Anyways I did manage to get me and my daughter the trainers. After a day of wasting my time, I let it go and decided to come back for the next launch. Also when I did a store search, you couldn't get in touch with the ones who had a green circle (those were the ones with the items available) I even had another rep to do a store check and she said they didn't have any even though the store search was showing they did, and that was updated in real time. uhmmm

I was so confused by the website. I assumed that I would be able to place an order online once it was launch day (since I didn’t preorder). Then, I kept seeing “notify me ” and contact client advisor.” I looked for days!!! I ended up going in store and purchased a card holder.
It’s pure mind games to create FOMO. Glad I own 5 of the original Murakami bags; their craftsmanship is unbeatable! And I’m so excited that my favorite LV collab of all time, Murakami collection is the only collab LV ever brought back! Yay🎉. I knew anyway that I’ll always wear my Murakami even before the re launch.

I’m from the UK and I went on January 3rd right when LV opened and there wasn’t anyone there. No line or anything. I actually went to two LV shops. The first one didn’t really have anything in stock and they weren’t allowed to sell the display piece. I did manage to get the white pochette accessories there. At the second LV again there wasn’t that many people there also. The SA told me I was allowed to get three items so I got the black speedy nano and preordered the white one too.
My experience wasn't fun at all. I had my wishlist and sent to an SA and no response. So I waited until January 3rd and was stalking the website and the items I wanted were online and it would allow me to add to cart but then the website would crash. I called customer service and after 40 minutes an auto message came on saying they couldn't take any calls. It was rather frustrating. I ended up reaching an SA over inventory at my local store and she told me they put a pause on orders and I haven't heard anything further. I've had the same thought, it's not meant to be. It really bums me out too because in the early 2000s this is what got me into LV. Now as a 40+ woman I thought for sure I would be able to secure an item but sadly no. Prior collections have been hard to get, so I was expecting the difficulty but I felt like this was much worse. Then hearing about how TikTokers are getting packages sent to them and they could care less, is really disappointing. As an avid LV lover, this whole situation has really just made me question is it all worth it. I really hope that there will be more inventory.
I didn’t secure any pieces and didn’t even try. I had a feeling this is what would happen. I think it’s very frustrating that not everyone was able to get what they wanted or even preordered. What’s even more disappointing is I follow a reseller and seems they secured multiple pieces and are now selling those pieces. I just don’t find it to be fair that you allow some go big multiple pieces and the resell them but those that actually want the pieces can’t get them. Very disappointing
I was able to order December 4th I was 2nd tier . I bought one purse, scarf,and a wallet. My associate told me Jan orders would be really out of luck of the big items. It was really shitty!!
Loui knew exactly what they were doing. Their brand has been over-purchased for years, they knew this was the most popular collection ever and wanted to gain the Hermes scarcity. I had a VERY similar experience with this collection.
Hi Amber...I was not able to obtain any of the pieces either. I was on line ordering and it showed I had the items in my cart, and then it would say that I had to many items in my cart and the cart would empty. This process happened a few times, and I thought I'd call LV and see where that got me. When I called, the recording said that my wait time would be 40 minutes...I waited. I am not kidding when I tell you that at minute 36 a recording came on saying customer service could no longer take calls and I should call back later...I was not happy to say the least. I definitely agree that the site crashed, as I couldn't even get on my account. What a mess! I definitely believe that something happened on LV's end, they had to know how popular these new launches are and for some reason, purposely or not, they couldn't fulfill all of the orders and have ended up disappointing many, many loyal customers. I have put the items I wanted in my with list, so we'll see what happens. Thanks Amber :)
I am sorry about your experience. I was able to get three pieces from the boutique (through a purchase link). I have loved Murakami since I was in high school and never was able to get it. I was determined not to miss this time around. Unfortunately, it’s hard to be excited about my new items (noir PA, key pouch, and blanc cosmetics case) with so much negativity around the launch. 😢
I definitely think this was a marketing ploy. Because there are some VVICs and VICs who were allowed to purchase 5-10+ pieces. They could have capped those types of pre-orders. And, it definitely seems to be more of a US thing. I have zero issue with VVICs and VICs getting priority. But, they could have out a limit. They could have done another run once they saw what the pre-orders were looking like. But, LV chose not to. Personally, I always think this type of strategy is stupid. It may pay off in the short term, but I think they hurt themselves over the longer term.

You always have a great way of putting things in a positive way and a great perspective.❤ I tried like everyone else to purchase online it kept crashing was not able to purchase anything online. I reached out to all of my SA that I have. I have about five only three got back to me, and I was able to order a victory wallet from one of them and it will be delivered today. My other two orders are pending. It doesn’t show shipped so I’m not getting my hopes up and 1 is a wishlist item because she says she’s no longer able to order.😢. So fingers crossed and I really hope you’re able to get something from this launch 😅
I was able to obtain a black multi color Speedy Soft 30 & the black multi zippy coin purse. I put in my pre order with my client advisor on December 3rd. She did say it may or may not happen. She told me on December 27th I would be able to get my items. They were shipped to me at my home in Alabama from the Atlanta store. I received them last night. My client advisor did say they will have a re stock on January 10th but I think they really don’t know what stock that they are receiving.

I went to my local store on launch day and they took my preorder but they didn’t promise anything. They had nothing on display from the collection. Yesterday I received an email that my bag was in store and I was able to pick it up today. And I’m not a VIC or spend too much. I try to limit myself to a bag per year if that.
I ordered yesterday the 8th through concierge and mine shipped today for delivery Wednesday. I wasnt able to order online, they had to find one and source it for me. I would keep reaching out for anyone trying to obtain a piece from the collection.
I got waitlisted in December, but last friday I kept refreshing like crazy the website and I managed to get the piece I wanted. Just fyi I'm in Europe and definitely not a vip client, I only own a couple of things from LV and I got them a couple of years ago.
Luckily I literally just walked into saks Lv in NY and was able to pick up the Murakami clemency wallet in black. It wasn’t my first choice but I did love it and got it. The only other thing they had was a bracelet which I passed. Just happy I was able to get something.
I’m still waiting on my order. & I ordered a bag. They told me 2-10 weeks wait time. So I think LV underestimated the popularity of this collection. But I do understand the frustration. It does seem like other countries like Japan & Singapore got more of an advantage in stock than the US. I’m not even sure if I’ll get my order, because I see a lot of people unboxing, but I don’t see the bag I ordered on any unboxing videos. So it does worry me that they withhold my money for nothing. But I’ll wait & see!
I have my pieces from the mid '00"s, I love them and they still look brand new so I don't really see any need to purchase this time. I also still have my 2005 patent vernis collection bags & wallets/accessories.
Same fell in love with lv because of Jessica Simpson multi color bag ❤😊 my experience was the same website crashing and Apple Pay was being declined and reached out to a sa and they only had a wallet which was not my fave. But should’ve bought it just to have in my collection but oh well. Sad and disappointed in this collection being sold out and issues 😢
Sort of reminds me of cosmetic launches where it is a portion of the product on “go-live” to say it was a record selling or sold out instantly type of deal. I went in store that evening and the bags were display only. I think they just had 1 white carryall for purchase. Few accessories were available but mainly in the solid leathers. Called customer service and they told me of locations that had the items in store in stock but were out of state locations. I couldn’t be connected with anyone at the store or submit an inquiry for follow up but I could purchase if I went in person. ✈️ 🚗 🫠 ….oh well. maybe another day.
I got lucky and got one item in store that wasn’t on my wishlist but I am very happy with. The rest of my wishlist I ordered on StockX. I paid $540 over retail on three items, the MC toiletry 26, the regular MC card holder, and the MC key pouch. I feel like the premium over retail was low enough to justify it considering there was no chance of getting them from the store.

I didn’t believe it was actually coming to me until it was delivered yesterday! I consider myself very lucky because I keep hearing all the stories of people not being able to get anything. I do think it’s a supply/demand issue and hopefully they can launch more in a few weeks. What was on your wish list? I hope you can get them!!
I really wanted a slg from this collection. It was out of stock online and I kept looking for it. Yesterday evening the criss cross card holder was available and I was able to order it 🤩 Btw the German website says the Collection is limited to one per product and customer, which ensures their exceptional rarity.
I went to the store on the launch date, they do have several items they showed me and available to purchase on that day. I passed on all of them, they are all stunning 🎉thou.
I hope you can get something. I would love an SLG but I’m not even trying. I sold my original Murakami pieces before the pandemic. Kicking myself now. 🙈
Great experience over here in Montreal 🇨🇦 . My SA sent me the catalogue on December 3rd and she then suggested that I pay in store the amount in advance so when the stock came in she could super quickly snag the 2 items (bandeau and belt) for me and it worked (her tips always work so I listen 😂). Now I’m just trying to switch my 30mm belt for the slimmer one - that I wanted from the beginning - but if it doesn’t happen, it’s fine too. So, overall very satisfied and appreciative of having a great SA ;). In terms of packaging, they told me no TM ribbon, stickers, paper or bags arrived, but it’s fine.
Im in Romania and we will probs get the left overs and everything is expensive and im js waiting for the cherry collection and planning on buying 1 thing
hi amber! I'm sorry you weren't able to get the pieces you wanted. i'm not a VIC and haven't bought anything for the last year. But I went to the store a few weeks prior to the launch and got a SA's information. I got the first appointment with him on the day of the launch and was able to order a few items. It was crazy, the line was wrapped around the block! When i picked up the items he told me everything was sold out within two hours and he wasn't able to place any more orders. So crazy!
Myself along with many people on forums have given up trying to buy anything from the new collection. What a mess. I’m going to just buy vintage pieces.
I was able to get the key pouch day of bc my SA ordered. In store had nothing. I was just lucky that I went in store and he was able to order on the fly
Hey Amber I just posted a video with my 3 pieces from the collection- I wasn’t a preorder nor VIC and I tried for several hours to get the items online but couldn’t- a CA that I worked with back in 2002 I reached out to in early Dec and he informed me day before launch that he maybe able to get an item from my request- I was looking for Nano Speedy and Romy card holder or Rosalie coin purse- he was able to get me the Rosalie, Speedy 25 and I later got asked if I wanted to anything else and I was able to get a bandeau, this was a messy drop unfortunately and I don’t understand why allow preorders if you wouldn’t fulfill the order nor have the items in stock both in store and online. Not sure about a restock but if so I’m hoping to get my Nano Speedy
Hi Amber, I was lucky and was able to preorder with one of my SA's and also have the order filled. I got sucked into the white :) I did try and add to my order on the launch day and it was not even possible. I'm happy to just have the two pieces. I ordered the multicolor card holder and the vanity with chain :) I'll probably skip the next launch. I live near 3 stores and they were sold out by the late afternoon. Crazy!
I live in Missouri and a very low volume purchaser but have traveled to Beverly Hills and bought my daughter her first LV bag a year ago . We reached out to that SA the day before launch and she was able to secure me the multicolor Rosalie 😊. Should be here today 🤞. I have heard all the troubles people have had and I was stunned it worked out for me to get a piece ❤ I’m wondering if locations like Rodeo drive were afforded more pieces? I hope you hear back soon !

I am not anywhere near a high threshold of spending at LV. I buy 1-2 bags a year max, and the rest of my LV bags have been pre-loved. My husband was able to secure a piece for me through our sales associate in store. She sent the paylink on December 31st I think?? The bag was shipped out on launch day January 3rd and I received it on January 4th. I then contacted her on the 5th and was able to purchase at perfume from the collection. I think maybe the bag I wanted (the neverfull) just wasn't as popular at some of the multicolor ones, and so I got lucky. I am so sorry you didn't have a great experience and weren't able to secure the pieces you wanted :(
Hi Amber, happy 2025!🎉🎉🎉My SA showed me the collection in November and told me I could pre order in Dec 2024. However, I am not one to buy luxury without making sure that it’s something I need or I enjoy. So, I held back and last week, I decided I just wanted to take a look at what the hype is and visited the store. The collection is pretty but not worth the money it’s asking, so I decided on SLG so that I could get a momento from this collection. I bought the perfume as I love the flowers on the bottle, the white belt and the panda card holder. There is a pop up store in my country which I intend to visit and who knows I may get the Rosalie wallet from there😅. In my opinion, limited edition is a marketing ploy that plays on the psychology of the customer. We think we are getting something special but it’s just not so…so I usually stay away from limited edition unless it’s in the colorway and design I like and it’s price point is something I can accept😊. There was a very recent documentary and they were interviewing very well-off women. These women were speaking about how they no longer purchase authentic purses and have chosen to purchase really good *amzrepe* of the designer bags that they do like. They then take that saved money and invest their money into other things such as real estate, stocks etc.
I live in Sweden and I'm not vip client so I did not have a chance to do pre-order but I purchased 2 items (a pochette accessories bag and a card holder) on lv website on 3rd Jan. I wanted to purchase more items but all items have sold out in 30 mins and on Jan 10th. may LV will launch the second wave
Same thing happened to me except I paid for my items so it was kind of irritating because I did a secured link with my sales associate for the Alma BB and the mules and when I went to pick up, they told me that the Alma BB was fulfilled but not the mules so they are holding onto over $1000 of my money to see if the shoes come in which is pretty irritating because I paid for something that wasn’t even availableso I’m going to go in today and just use that credit towards another bag because who knows when those shoes will come in
Hi Amber, I contacted my SA and i did not reply from him either. But to me he is not a good SA. Ok let me clarify. Last year August i am asking for some other stuff but no reply from him either. Not just Murakami one. So when this was shared over TH-cam that they will have the Murakami collection, i gave him a screen shot of the key pouch and he did not reply as usual. Anyway on 3rd Jan, when i got into the LV's website, i did not see that too. I heard it was meant to be in certain countries only (not sure) but the card holder is available. So, i went for that and managed to pay but delivery will be only in March. Wow that long but fine. Few days later, the card holder and all other stuff are not available except those bigger items like trunk, suit case or shoes. Ok there are some from Day 1 showing not available i.e those wallets and speedy in the smallest size. The rest of the items are all gone after 5th Jan except those big ticket items as i mentioned. When i try to check on the availability from the stores in the LV's website, most of it showing not available. Anyway, i hope my order for the card holder is not cancelled. For your case, i think it would be better to go into the store and find out Yes i was told that there will be another big chunk coming on the 10th Jan but not sure who will get it. Wish you luck. I hope to get one more from this collection but will see. If i get it, it is meant to be, if not that is fine. Hope this helps.
Similar experience in the UK. Also wonder if I've not reached the spend threshold? I've bought plenty over the years and my first few pieces that got me into LV were from the original MC launch actually. Personally I think they've deliberately made it hard to get to create demand, a 'buzz' round it all and especially limit the cheaper SLGs as a tactic to push people to the more expensive items. Who knows, but certainly in the UK none of my SAs could get my order filled as a regular shopper with them. Hope you get your order eventually. X
I had the same experience Amber. I was sent a preorder form after Xmas I think it was Dec 27. They didn’t take any payment. Then I was told launch date has been pushed to Jan 3 at 2 pm. On Jan 3, I went into store -there was nothing murakami even on display. At --2:30-- I was told only 2 of my slgs that I wanted were able to be ordered and payment was taken. She couldn’t order any bags- non were available. Just yesterday I went into boutique and was told only 1 out of my 2 slgs went through and they refunded me my other slg. As an owner of some of the original bags I will say this launch was a bit disappointing as far as the designs go. I was definitely more interested in the SLG’s and accessories. I ended up deciding on the white multicolor notebook cover and the white bandeau. I had been reaching out to my sales associate for months as well. On January 3 in the afternoon I was able to order both of these items and they have both shipped. I very grateful because it seems this launch was a disaster!! I am, however, very hopeful that overtime they will restock some items and maybe even do a launch down the way as they’ve seen how popular it is. 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼
I was so fortunate to get all of the pieces I wanted. My SA sent me pics and asked what I wanted. My tracking number says they’ll be delivered tomorrow…I can’t wait to see them! I’m not sure what the spend threshold was for getting priority, but I spent around $25k in 2024.
I would have loved a piece from this collection but the website was just garbage, and I worked the day it came out. So maybe it just wasn't meant to be for me. I definitely do not meet the spend threshold, so no preorder either. I was hoping my husband could get me a piece overseas but the timing did not align.
Most of the collection was sold out before launch day in the US. All the items that everyone wanted were gone. They were backdoored to VIC's personal shoppers or you had to know someone. I talked to a client advisor he said many people who got something just got it due to timing. Other than that it was sold out early in the U.S.
If Louis Vuitton was smart I would maximize profits and keep the collection out for a year...restock items at these prices...that way everyone can get a chance to get something....LV would make a killing and probably pass some Luxury Houses in sales this year... this would take the personal shoppers out of the game. VIC's deserve to get first choice but they know the folks who want to buy like 20 things to sell... I hope we can adleast something from the Murakami collection...
In Canada here. I could only order Jan 2 because I am not a VIC. My CA took my payment and then said I may not be able to get everything. Then she said all my items went through. Then I received an email from LV my items are ready for pick up in the store and the order would be canceled and I would be refunded if I didn’t pick up the order in 14 days. I asked my CA to mail the items to me. For some reason I went to my profile to check the items status and two of the three are showing pending. My CA texted me to say she will send my items but only the bandeau is ready. The other items are still in allocation. I am not happy that they took payment and I don’t know if I am getting all my items. They are making interest off my money and everyone else’s money they are holding. I think they have the experience and the resources to do better than they have done. I do think they will probably produce more items. They have so many facilities that can fulfill these orders but it will take time. I think they didn’t realize the true demand for the products. They didn’t want to over produce like they did with the Kasama collaboration.
I tried to preorder a few pieces from my Client Advisor but unfortunately as yet i have not received anything. Very disappointed in how this launch was handled. Fortunately I have a pochette accessories from the original launch that’s in very good condition. I’ll have to just enjoy that piece as it’s looking as if i’m not getting any more!
I was able to get the white trainers online on launch day. There were a few items available online around 2pm and I had no issues checking out. I also snagged a cardholder from a sales associate in Bloomingdale’s. Still hoping to get the white passport holder. Something funny is going on bc it seems like only certain pieces have been released and in very limited quantities.
This whole launch was a disaster. All I wanted was an OnTheGo bb panda bag. Customer service said it would be available in the US at launch yet it never appeared on the website 🤔 I ended up getting the leather PM version in store luckily. Overall it feels like you can't take anyone's word about anything. Some SAs claim there will be a restock on the 10th whereas others (mine included) flat out deny this...
I’ve heard so many conflicting stories. I was told I could preorder on Dec 9/10 then later learned I could not. I also had similar issues with the website. My local store had very limited stock. I was able to get an SLG and a pair of shoes. There are a few more items that I am interested in so I’m trying to remain optimistic that LV will produce more given the blockbuster interest in this collection. LVMH sales have been down and this was the hit they’ve needed so will they really leave money on the table by limiting this to VVIC or VIC clients?!
I was able to get nothing! I am so upset my SA messaged me 12/31 asking what size hat so I thought I was good. I went into store today, they have nothing and said only through orders . However my SA did get me an appt for the pop up in Manhattan I’m hoping I can get something there this weekend!!
They definitely knew this was going to happen. LV hasn’t had a good collection in a while and were losing people’s interest so for them to do this was kind of the last straw for me.

I had so much difficulty with the website and just so disappointed honestly. Probably will just admire from afar because they clearly can't get it together and rather give to influencers who some don't even care
You’re too kind. Your CA either lied to you or is not very good so I would actively search for another one. All preorders would have been placed prior to the end of December around the 27th. This launch was a huge fail in the US and Canada, with Canada being the worst. The Asian market including Australia had inventory and I was monitoring the Australian site and when certain items sold out they popped back in later with a longer shipping timeframe of up to ten weeks. I’m over it now so I’m no longer checking the site. I’m done with LV and will only purchase unique items here and there if I’m interested. The only piece I would still like from this collection is the key pouch. LV has some explaining to do but we all know that will never happen. We do have a voice and that is with our wallets. So the thousands and thousands that I was willing to pay for this collection will now be 0 to several hundred. They had a cash cow and blew it up big time. J.
Honestly it felt like the message you got from the CA was scripted. Which Im assuming they had to do bc Im sure they got soooooo many texts & calls in regards to this. I spoke to a CA in a boutique this wknd & she mentioned that clients have even harrased the other CAs which is extremely unacceptable. I do think LV should have been a bit more ready, they knew how big this collab was going to be. I also dont understand how some people have gotten the packaging & some havent! That I cant get behind
My issue is that they took my money back in December and I still have nothing… and people are walking into stores and buying items. The store should not have stock to offer to walk ins until preorders have been fulfilled (or refund everyone and tell them they’re not getting it). To be still holding people’s money over a month later and not sending them their items while selling those same items to new buyers who did not preorder is wrong, in my opinion.
@ I am not talking about other people who preordered. There are people walking into stores able to buy items who DID NOT preorder. There are CAs posting a single item here or there as they have limited stock on their instagram accounts saying “1 available” and whoever contacts them first is able to purchase.

I didn’t jump on this trend to be honest because my girlfriend had the white Murakami years ago and the white turned yellow and the nothing she can do about it. I actually went to my LV store and they had some of the stock in. I just didn’t wanna jump on this trendy overpriced under inventory designed by LV.
I had the same experience Amber. I was sent a preorder form after Xmas I think it was Dec 27. They didn’t take any payment. Then I was told launch date has been pushed to Jan 3 at 2 pm. On Jan 3, I went into store -there was nothing murakami even on display. At --2:30-- I was told only 2 of my slgs that I wanted were able to be ordered and payment was taken. She couldn’t order any bags- non were available. Just yesterday I went into boutique and was told only 1 out of my 2 slgs went through and they refunded me my other slg. I asked about Jan 10 and whether they anticipated a restock. they had no clue and said they haven’t heard of anything. I also stalked and have been stalking the website every day since Jan 3rd. Nothing.

After a long, long thinking period, I've decided to pass on this new collection as well and enjoy my vintage items.
At a gathering of close friends, I found that more and more friends began to pay more attention to personality and stories rather than simple brand labels. Inspired by this, I began to explore bags that can reflect personal style without being too expensive, and *regbags* helped me find a bag that suits my taste. This bag is both low-key and cheap, and there is really nothing wrong with it.
I feel like LV was very aware of the popularity, I have heard more people being disappointed than were happy. I spent hours trying to order and had no success. I hate to say it but I feel like it was a marketing plan. I honestly hate to beg companies to take my money, something feels wrong about it

They knew it was going to be popular and should have planned accordingly. Preorders should have been open for 2 weeks about 6 months or so before launch to have time to make enough to cover all preorders and then some.
I feel bad for the sales associates that have to deal with it all. I’m sure most people are not as kind and understanding as you are.
Stores were a mess and had random items. Website online was not functioning properly. I still managed to purchase the side trunk, black multicolor scarf and sneakers on in white. ❤

Early in December, on a FB LV group that I’m in, there was a Murakami post about the January drop, I asked a Q on that post and a lady DMed me. She told me she worked for LV and LV was going to be very strict about preorders. She said if you’re not at least VIC within the calendar year, and your SA takes a Murakami preorder from you, that LV will eventually decline it.
I didn’t think I was a VIC (but after calculating my 2024 purchases I definitely just barely met the threshold), but come Dec 12th, my SA texted me asking for my wishlist. Out of the four items I requested only the High Rise was available for preorder. So I payed.
Now to the January drop day, I go in store right when they opened to pickup my preorder, the website stated a few of my wishlist pieces were at my store, I asked my SA for them and she tells me they never received a shipment (other than what their clients had preordered). So there were no Murakami pieces on display, so obviously nothing to try on. And on top of that, my store never received any of the special packaging: bags, tags, ribbons, etc.
This whole drop was such a mess. Im mixed on if I think it was intentional or they just dropped the ball. How could LV have not known it would be as sought after as it is…. I’ve seen soooo many unboxing/experience videos on this drop, and many people were able to go in store and pickup the remaining pieces I attempted to preorder in December, how were pieces unavailable for preorder, but available in store… LV clearly was holding back in so many ways.
Hi Amber sorry you didn’t get your pre order. I passed on this collection. I haven’t purchased a luxury bag in over two years with no plans to in the near future. I have been totally turned off by how these brands are moving of late. I have a small collection of a dozen or so luxury bags & I am just enjoying rotating through those bags along with my contemporary collection. 🤷🏻♀️
Omg this entire launch was such a headache! I was able to order the black key pouch online but that was only after experiencing multiple error messages, constant loading & reloading on the checkout page, and hours of refreshing my cart. I knew it was going to be a popular launch, but I've never experienced anything like this with LV. I"m not sure, but something tells me this "scarcity" tactic was planned...

Hi Amber , I’m in the US and think my order went pretty smoothly considering all the delays see fellow handbag lovers posting . I’m not a VIP client but a long time client and did make quite a bit of puchases during the first 2 years of pandemic cause we had nothing else to do . As for my wishlist items , I preordered 4 ( speedy 25, small cosmetic pouch pm, Key clea and Trouville East West ) the first 3 arrived yesterday and the Trouville arriving tm. My order went pretty smoothly. Recieved items came with the ribbons and stickers . No special dust bags or tissue paper . But the speedy did come with the shopping bag . I think they also short on packaging. I hope ur items will come soon cause my SA told me they are trying to fill orders . 😊
I somehow managed (thanks to my ca) to snag a side trunk, card holder, & scarf on launch day. waiting on my ca to let me know when the toiletry pouch comes in!

I have one vintage piece that’s in excellent condition and I’m glad I do because the way this has gone that may just be the extent of it for now lol. I’ve heard January 9th and 10th so I’ll just be checking on both days. I kind of talked myself out of the hype but if I log in and something I want can be purchased I’d do it. I’m not going to get crazy about it. If it’s meant to be I’ll get it. If not I’ll vintage shop in Tokyo this spring. I won’t have any FOMO for this one. I am not a VIC or VIP, nor do I have a sales associate. I buy most of my LV bags from Europe or online. I went to a store few days after launch in NY and of course there is nothing left. But I was able to buy a pochette accessoire, marellini, Rosalie from offshore website. I believe they will restock in the US website similar to other countries so don’t worry.

Hello Amber. I'm in the UK. I always watch your videos as I love your content. Just to give you some feedback on what's been happening in the UK. I have a lot of LV pieces but I'm nowhere near VIP client status! So I knew that I couldn't pre-order from this collection knowing how popular it was going to be. I kept my fingers crossed and went to Harrods on the official launch date which was 3rd January. I went early thinking there was going to be a huge stampede of customers at the inhouse LV store fighting for pieces of this collection. I was surprised, instead, to see how quiet and calm it was! There were numerous Murakami pieces on display. Some bags, Speedy and Alma, were display only but there was quite a lot of stock available to buy. I did manage to snag one piece from store but two other items I chose had to be ordered. I wanted more pieces but was restricted to only purchasing three. This was a week ago and, so far, have not heard anymore about my order. After seeing your video, as well as others about problems with pre orders, I am now concerned that the long silence may mean my order for the other two pieces may not be fulfilled. I'm still waiting to hear from my sales associate on the 'verdict'. My payment for all three items has gone through so I'm hoping for a good result.
I’m also from the UK and had a very similar experience. The only difference is I went to Selfridges instead of Harrods. I went super early when it opened and there wasn’t that many people there. I manage to get two items. The white pochette accessories and black speedy nano in stores but I had to order the white speedy nano. I was told that it’s 3 items per costumers. I haven’t heard anything from my SA yet either about the white speedy nano. I even went to LV on new Bond Street also again no line.
Hi Amber…… great video. I have the white speedy from the original collection and a few other pieces that match it. Nothing will ever come close to the originals. We are lucky we have the original pieces and we didn’t have to spend today’s lv prices for them. I just wanted a small pieces but if it’s not ment to be it’s ok. I went to Gucci today and the salesperson told me that they often can't tell the difference between an authentic and a *regbags* bag. Surprised to hear that from the SA.
True to form for LV anymore. I originally wasn’t planning to order anything. I had several pieces from the original launch - many of which I sold and my bag was a recall as the color bled thru to the white. I could have kept it but, had grown out of the style. I ultimately did decide to order a Rosalie (as it is a wallet I carry frequently) just to have a piece of the collection. Ironically, I phoned my SA as they had one in the store and she said they were advised the pieces were for display only - they weren’t selling their pieces, only ordering. What a joke - that piece was gone in a heartbeat. My order is still pending and honestly don’t care if it’s cancelled - too many other nice items to be had than a piece which I feel personally will become dated and I see as trendy. These brands don’t realize when they treat their clients this way, it becomes a huge turnoff to the brand.

If it was planned every store would have gotten packaging but so many stores did not receive packaging. My CA sent me a pay link for my preorder on 12/28 & my other CA contacted me as well. My CA did say nothing was guaranteed. Fortunately my local CA was able to get 2 out 3 items on my wishlist. I was able to pick up my speedy 25 on launch but still waiting for my Romy in Kawaii pink. I also noticed that LV did not launch Murakami the way they did Kusama with all the art installations & all the fanfare & that collection was a disaster so maybe LV was erring on the side of caution, it’s not like LV to leave money at the table. You should read the Murakami thread on pursefirum because it will give you better insight into the situation on a global scale. Many VICs did not get their preorders so that’s why I don’t think this is a marketing ploy. ❤

Hi Amber, I went into the store yesterday and they told me they sold out in an hour. On Drop Day, I spoke with a CSR and she told me the stores couldn't help, (if it was unavailable online they couldn't place the order), she didn't even transfer me like I asked after a 35 min wait. Also, I feel this was a purposeful strategy, to set the groundwork for increased prices. It was clear stores only had a certain number of items (unreasonably limited). Also, there were several times, I had the Alma BB in my cart, put in my payment information and when I selected pay, the system would just spend and then I would get the item is not available. This actually happened to me twice. It was as if the item was there, but I couldn't check it out. Anyways I did manage to get me and my daughter the trainers. After a day of wasting my time, I let it go and decided to come back for the next launch. Also when I did a store search, you couldn't get in touch with the ones who had a green circle (those were the ones with the items available) I even had another rep to do a store check and she said they didn't have any even though the store search was showing they did, and that was updated in real time. uhmmm

I was so confused by the website. I assumed that I would be able to place an order online once it was launch day (since I didn’t preorder). Then, I kept seeing “notify me ” and contact client advisor.” I looked for days!!! I ended up going in store and purchased a card holder.
It’s pure mind games to create FOMO. Glad I own 5 of the original Murakami bags; their craftsmanship is unbeatable! And I’m so excited that my favorite LV collab of all time, Murakami collection is the only collab LV ever brought back! Yay🎉. I knew anyway that I’ll always wear my Murakami even before the re launch.

I’m from the UK and I went on January 3rd right when LV opened and there wasn’t anyone there. No line or anything. I actually went to two LV shops. The first one didn’t really have anything in stock and they weren’t allowed to sell the display piece. I did manage to get the white pochette accessories there. At the second LV again there wasn’t that many people there also. The SA told me I was allowed to get three items so I got the black speedy nano and preordered the white one too.
My experience wasn't fun at all. I had my wishlist and sent to an SA and no response. So I waited until January 3rd and was stalking the website and the items I wanted were online and it would allow me to add to cart but then the website would crash. I called customer service and after 40 minutes an auto message came on saying they couldn't take any calls. It was rather frustrating. I ended up reaching an SA over inventory at my local store and she told me they put a pause on orders and I haven't heard anything further. I've had the same thought, it's not meant to be. It really bums me out too because in the early 2000s this is what got me into LV. Now as a 40+ woman I thought for sure I would be able to secure an item but sadly no. Prior collections have been hard to get, so I was expecting the difficulty but I felt like this was much worse. Then hearing about how TikTokers are getting packages sent to them and they could care less, is really disappointing. As an avid LV lover, this whole situation has really just made me question is it all worth it. I really hope that there will be more inventory.

I didn’t secure any pieces and didn’t even try. I had a feeling this is what would happen. I think it’s very frustrating that not everyone was able to get what they wanted or even preordered. What’s even more disappointing is I follow a reseller and seems they secured multiple pieces and are now selling those pieces. I just don’t find it to be fair that you allow some go big multiple pieces and the resell them but those that actually want the pieces can’t get them. Very disappointing
I was able to order December 4th I was 2nd tier . I bought one purse, scarf,and a wallet. My associate told me Jan orders would be really out of luck of the big items. It was really shitty!!
Loui knew exactly what they were doing. Their brand has been over-purchased for years, they knew this was the most popular collection ever and wanted to gain the Hermes scarcity. I had a VERY similar experience with this collection.

Hi Amber...I was not able to obtain any of the pieces either. I was on line ordering and it showed I had the items in my cart, and then it would say that I had to many items in my cart and the cart would empty. This process happened a few times, and I thought I'd call LV and see where that got me. When I called, the recording said that my wait time would be 40 minutes...I waited. I am not kidding when I tell you that at minute 36 a recording came on saying customer service could no longer take calls and I should call back later...I was not happy to say the least. I definitely agree that the site crashed, as I couldn't even get on my account. What a mess!
I definitely believe that something happened on LV's end, they had to know how popular these new launches are and for some reason, purposely or not, they couldn't fulfill all of the orders and have ended up disappointing many, many loyal customers. I have put the items I wanted in my with list, so we'll see what happens. Thanks Amber :)
I am sorry about your experience. I was able to get three pieces from the boutique (through a purchase link). I have loved Murakami since I was in high school and never was able to get it. I was determined not to miss this time around. Unfortunately, it’s hard to be excited about my new items (noir PA, key pouch, and blanc cosmetics case) with so much negativity around the launch. 😢

I definitely think this was a marketing ploy. Because there are some VVICs and VICs who were allowed to purchase 5-10+ pieces. They could have capped those types of pre-orders. And, it definitely seems to be more of a US thing. I have zero issue with VVICs and VICs getting priority. But, they could have out a limit. They could have done another run once they saw what the pre-orders were looking like. But, LV chose not to. Personally, I always think this type of strategy is stupid. It may pay off in the short term, but I think they hurt themselves over the longer term.

I reached out to all of my SA that I have. I have about five only three got back to me, and I was able to order a victory wallet from one of them and it will be delivered today. My other two orders are pending. It doesn’t show shipped so I’m not getting my hopes up and 1 is a wishlist item because she says she’s no longer able to order.😢. I was able to obtain a black multi color Speedy Soft 30 & the black multi zippy coin purse. I put in my pre order with my client advisor on December 3rd. She did say it may or may not happen. She told me on December 27th I would be able to get my items. They were shipped to me at my home in Alabama from the Atlanta store. I received them last night. My client advisor did say they will have a re stock on January 10th but I think they really don’t know what stock that they are receiving.

I went to my local store on launch day and they took my preorder but they didn’t promise anything. They had nothing on display from the collection. Yesterday I received an email that my bag was in store and I was able to pick it up today. And I’m not a VIC or spend too much. I try to limit myself to a bag per year if that.

I got waitlisted in December, but last friday I kept refreshing like crazy the website and I managed to get the piece I wanted. Just fyi I'm in Europe and definitely not a vip client, I only own a couple of things from LV and I got them a couple of years ago.
Luckily I literally just walked into saks Lv in NY and was able to pick up the Murakami clemency wallet in black. It wasn’t my first choice but I did love it and got it. The only other thing they had was a bracelet which I passed. Just happy I was able to get something.

I’m still waiting on my order. & I ordered a bag. They told me 2-10 weeks wait time. So I think LV underestimated the popularity of this collection. But I do understand the frustration. It does seem like other countries like Japan & Singapore got more of an advantage in stock than the US. I’m not even sure if I’ll get my order, because I see a lot of people unboxing, but I don’t see the bag I ordered on any unboxing videos. So it does worry me that they withhold my money for nothing. But I’ll wait & see!
I have my pieces from the mid '00"s, I love them and they still look brand new so I don't really see any need to purchase this time. I also still have my 2005 patent vernis collection bags & wallets/accessories.

Same fell in love with lv because of Jessica Simpson multi color bag ❤😊 my experience was the same website crashing and Apple Pay was being declined and reached out to a sa and they only had a wallet which was not my fave. But should’ve bought it just to have in my collection but oh well. Sad and disappointed in this collection being sold out and issues 😢

Sort of reminds me of cosmetic launches where it is a portion of the product on “go-live” to say it was a record selling or sold out instantly type of deal.
I went in store that evening and the bags were display only. I think they just had 1 white carryall for purchase. Few accessories were available but mainly in the solid leathers. Called customer service and they told me of locations that had the items in store in stock but were out of state locations. I couldn’t be connected with anyone at the store or submit an inquiry for follow up but I could purchase if I went in person. ✈️ 🚗 🫠 ….oh well. maybe another day.
I got lucky and got one item in store that wasn’t on my wishlist but I am very happy with. The rest of my wishlist I ordered on StockX. I paid $540 over retail on three items, the MC toiletry 26, the regular MC card holder, and the MC key pouch. I feel like the premium over retail was low enough to justify it considering there was no chance of getting them from the store.

Hi Amber! I must have been super lucky because I logged onto the website on launch day and was able to snag the Victorine Wallet in black! I didn’t believe it was actually coming to me until it was delivered yesterday! I consider myself very lucky because I keep hearing all the stories of people not being able to get anything. I do think it’s a supply/demand issue and hopefully they can launch more in a few weeks. What was on your wish list? I hope you can get them!!

I really wanted a slg from this collection. It was out of stock online and I kept looking for it. Yesterday evening the criss cross card holder was available and I was able to order it 🤩
Btw the German website says the Collection is limited to one per product and customer, which ensures their exceptional rarity.

Great experience over here in Montreal 🇨🇦 . My SA sent me the catalogue on December 3rd and she then suggested that I pay in store the amount in advance so when the stock came in she could super quickly snag the 2 items (bandeau and belt) for me and it worked (her tips always work so I listen 😂). Now I’m just trying to switch my 30mm belt for the slimmer one - that I wanted from the beginning - but if it doesn’t happen, it’s fine too.
So, overall very satisfied and appreciative of having a great SA ;). In terms of packaging, they told me no TM ribbon, stickers, paper or bags arrived, but it’s fine.

hi amber! I'm sorry you weren't able to get the pieces you wanted. i'm not a VIC and haven't bought anything for the last year. But I went to the store a few weeks prior to the launch and got a SA's information. I got the first appointment with him on the day of the launch and was able to order a few items. It was crazy, the line was wrapped around the block! When i picked up the items he told me everything was sold out within two hours and he wasn't able to place any more orders. So crazy!

I was able to get the key pouch day of bc my SA ordered. In store had nothing. I was just lucky that I went in store and he was able to order on the fly

Hey Amber I just posted a video with my 3 pieces from the collection- I wasn’t a preorder nor VIC and I tried for several hours to get the items online but couldn’t- a CA that I worked with back in 2002 I reached out to in early Dec and he informed me day before launch that he maybe able to get an item from my request- I was looking for Nano Speedy and Romy card holder or Rosalie coin purse- he was able to get me the Rosalie, Speedy 25 and I later got asked if I wanted to anything else and I was able to get a bandeau, this was a messy drop unfortunately and I don’t understand why allow preorders if you wouldn’t fulfill the order nor have the items in stock both in store and online. Not sure about a restock but if so I’m hoping to get my Nano Speedy

Hi Amber, I was lucky and was able to preorder with one of my SA's and also have the order filled. I got sucked into the white :) I did try and add to my order on the launch day and it was not even possible. I'm happy to just have the two pieces. I ordered the multicolor card holder and the vanity with chain :) I'll probably skip the next launch. I live near 3 stores and they were sold out by the late afternoon. Crazy!
I live in Missouri and a very low volume purchaser but have traveled to Beverly Hills and bought my daughter her first LV bag a year ago . We reached out to that SA the day before launch and she was able to secure me the multicolor Rosalie 😊. Should be here today 🤞. I have heard all the troubles people have had and I was stunned it worked out for me to get a piece ❤ I’m wondering if locations like Rodeo drive were afforded more pieces? I hope you hear back soon !

I am not anywhere near a high threshold of spending at LV. I buy 1-2 bags a year max, and the rest of my LV bags have been pre-loved. My husband was able to secure a piece for me through our sales associate in store. She sent the paylink on December 31st I think?? The bag was shipped out on launch day January 3rd and I received it on January 4th. I then contacted her on the 5th and was able to purchase at perfume from the collection. I think maybe the bag I wanted (the neverfull) just wasn't as popular at some of the multicolor ones, and so I got lucky. I am so sorry you didn't have a great experience and weren't able to secure the pieces you wanted :(

Hi Amber, happy 2025!🎉🎉🎉My SA showed me the collection in November and told me I could pre order in Dec 2024. However, I am not one to buy luxury without making sure that it’s something I need or I enjoy. So, I held back and last week, I decided I just wanted to take a look at what the hype is and visited the store. The collection is pretty but not worth the money it’s asking, so I decided on SLG so that I could get a momento from this collection. I bought the perfume as I love the flowers on the bottle, the white belt and the panda card holder. There is a pop up store in my country which I intend to visit and who knows I may get the Rosalie wallet from there😅. In my opinion, limited edition is a marketing ploy that plays on the psychology of the customer. We think we are getting something special but it’s just not so…so I usually stay away from limited edition unless it’s in the colorway and design I like and it’s price point is something I can accept😊. There was a very recent documentary and they were interviewing very well-off women. These women were speaking about how they no longer purchase authentic purses and have chosen to purchase really good *amzrepe* of the designer bags that they do like. They then take that saved money and invest their money into other things such as real estate, stocks etc.
I live in Sweden and I'm not vip client so I did not have a chance to do pre-order but I purchased 2 items (a pochette accessories bag and a card holder) on lv website on 3rd Jan. I wanted to purchase more items but all items have sold out in 30 mins and on Jan 10th. may LV will launch the second wave
Same thing happened to me except I paid for my items so it was kind of irritating because I did a secured link with my sales associate for the Alma BB and the mules and when I went to pick up, they told me that the Alma BB was fulfilled but not the mules so they are holding onto over $1000 of my money to see if the shoes come in which is pretty irritating because I paid for something that wasn’t even availableso I’m going to go in today and just use that credit towards another bag because who knows when those shoes will come in
Hi Amber, I contacted my SA and i did not reply from him either. But to me he is not a good SA. Ok let me clarify. Last year August i am asking for some other stuff but no reply from him either. Not just Murakami one. So when this was shared over TH-cam that they will have the Murakami collection, i gave him a screen shot of the key pouch and he did not reply as usual. Anyway on 3rd Jan, when i got into the LV's website, i did not see that too. I heard it was meant to be in certain countries only (not sure) but the card holder is available. So, i went for that and managed to pay but delivery will be only in March. Wow that long but fine. Few days later, the card holder and all other stuff are not available except those bigger items like trunk, suit case or shoes. Ok there are some from Day 1 showing not available i.e those wallets and speedy in the smallest size. The rest of the items are all gone after 5th Jan except those big ticket items as i mentioned. When i try to check on the availability from the stores in the LV's website, most of it showing not available. Anyway, i hope my order for the card holder is not cancelled. For your case, i think it would be better to go into the store and find out Yes i was told that there will be another big chunk coming on the 10th Jan but not sure who will get it. Wish you luck. I hope to get one more from this collection but will see. If i get it, it is meant to be, if not that is fine. Hope this helps.
Similar experience in the UK. Also wonder if I've not reached the spend threshold? I've bought plenty over the years and my first few pieces that got me into LV were from the original MC launch actually. Personally I think they've deliberately made it hard to get to create demand, a 'buzz' round it all and especially limit the cheaper SLGs as a tactic to push people to the more expensive items. Who knows, but certainly in the UK none of my SAs could get my order filled as a regular shopper with them. Hope you get your order eventually. X

On Jan 3, I went into store -there was nothing murakami even on display. At --2:30-- I was told only 2 of my slgs that I wanted were able to be ordered and payment was taken. She couldn’t order any bags- non were available. Just yesterday I went into boutique and was told only 1 out of my 2 slgs went through and they refunded me my other slg. I asked about Jan 10 and whether they anticipated a restock. they had no clue and said they haven’t heard of anything. I also stalked and have been stalking the website every day since Jan 3rd. Nothing.
As an owner of some of the original bags I will say this launch was a bit disappointing as far as the designs go. I was definitely more interested in the SLG’s and accessories. I ended up deciding on the white multicolor notebook cover and the white bandeau. I had been reaching out to my sales associate for months as well. On January 3 in the afternoon I was able to order both of these items and they have both shipped. I very grateful because it seems this launch was a disaster!! I am, however, very hopeful that overtime they will restock some items and maybe even do a launch down the way as they’ve seen how popular it is. 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼
I was so fortunate to get all of the pieces I wanted. My SA sent me pics and asked what I wanted. My tracking number says they’ll be delivered tomorrow…I can’t wait to see them! I’m not sure what the spend threshold was for getting priority, but I spent around $25k in 2024.

I would have loved a piece from this collection but the website was just garbage, and I worked the day it came out. So maybe it just wasn't meant to be for me. I definitely do not meet the spend threshold, so no preorder either. I was hoping my husband could get me a piece overseas but the timing did not align.
Most of the collection was sold out before launch day in the US. All the items that everyone wanted were gone. They were backdoored to VIC's personal shoppers or you had to know someone. I talked to a client advisor he said many people who got something just got it due to timing. Other than that it was sold out early in the U.S.
That is such a bummer.
If Louis Vuitton was smart I would maximize profits and keep the collection out for a year...restock items at these prices...that way everyone can get a chance to get something....LV would make a killing and probably pass some Luxury Houses in sales this year...
this would take the personal shoppers out of the game. VIC's deserve to get first choice but they know the folks who want to buy like 20 things to sell...
I hope we can adleast something from the Murakami collection...
In Canada here. I could only order Jan 2 because I am not a VIC. My CA took my payment and then said I may not be able to get everything. Then she said all my items went through. Then I received an email from LV my items are ready for pick up in the store and the order would be canceled and I would be refunded if I didn’t pick up the order in 14 days. I asked my CA to mail the items to me. For some reason I went to my profile to check the items status and two of the three are showing pending. My CA texted me to say she will send my items but only the bandeau is ready. The other items are still in allocation. I am not happy that they took payment and I don’t know if I am getting all my items. They are making interest off my money and everyone else’s money they are holding. I think they have the experience and the resources to do better than they have done. I do think they will probably produce more items. They have so many facilities that can fulfill these orders but it will take time. I think they didn’t realize the true demand for the products. They didn’t want to over produce like they did with the Kasama collaboration.

I tried to preorder a few pieces from my Client Advisor but unfortunately as yet i have not received anything. Very disappointed in how this launch was handled. Fortunately I have a pochette accessories from the original launch that’s in very good condition. I’ll have to just enjoy that piece as it’s looking as if i’m not getting any more!

I was able to get the white trainers online on launch day. There were a few items available online around 2pm and I had no issues checking out. I also snagged a cardholder from a sales associate in Bloomingdale’s. Still hoping to get the white passport holder. Something funny is going on bc it seems like only certain pieces have been released and in very limited quantities.

This whole launch was a disaster. All I wanted was an OnTheGo bb panda bag. Customer service said it would be available in the US at launch yet it never appeared on the website 🤔 I ended up getting the leather PM version in store luckily. Overall it feels like you can't take anyone's word about anything. Some SAs claim there will be a restock on the 10th whereas others (mine included) flat out deny this...
I’ve heard so many conflicting stories. I was told I could preorder on Dec 9/10 then later learned I could not. I also had similar issues with the website. My local store had very limited stock. I was able to get an SLG and a pair of shoes. There are a few more items that I am interested in so I’m trying to remain optimistic that LV will produce more given the blockbuster interest in this collection. LVMH sales have been down and this was the hit they’ve needed so will they really leave money on the table by limiting this to VVIC or VIC clients?!

I was able to get nothing! I am so upset my SA messaged me 12/31 asking what size hat so I thought I was good. I went into store today, they have nothing and said only through orders . However my SA did get me an appt for the pop up in Manhattan I’m hoping I can get something there this weekend!!

They definitely knew this was going to happen. LV hasn’t had a good collection in a while and were losing people’s interest so for them to do this was kind of the last straw for me.

You’re too kind. Your CA either lied to you or is not very good so I would actively search for another one. All preorders would have been placed prior to the end of December around the 27th. This launch was a huge fail in the US and Canada, with Canada being the worst. The Asian market including Australia had inventory and I was monitoring the Australian site and when certain items sold out they popped back in later with a longer shipping timeframe of up to ten weeks. I’m over it now so I’m no longer checking the site. I’m done with LV and will only purchase unique items here and there if I’m interested. The only piece I would still like from this collection is the key pouch. LV has some explaining to do but we all know that will never happen. We do have a voice and that is with our wallets. So the thousands and thousands that I was willing to pay for this collection will now be 0 to several hundred. They had a cash cow and blew it up big time. J.

Honestly it felt like the message you got from the CA was scripted. Which Im assuming they had to do bc Im sure they got soooooo many texts & calls in regards to this. I spoke to a CA in a boutique this wknd & she mentioned that clients have even harrased the other CAs which is extremely unacceptable. I do think LV should have been a bit more ready, they knew how big this collab was going to be. I also dont understand how some people have gotten the packaging & some havent! That I cant get behind

My issue is that they took my money back in December and I still have nothing… and people are walking into stores and buying items. The store should not have stock to offer to walk ins until preorders have been fulfilled (or refund everyone and tell them they’re not getting it). To be still holding people’s money over a month later and not sending them their items while selling those same items to new buyers who did not preorder is wrong, in my opinion.

@ I am not talking about other people who preordered. There are people walking into stores able to buy items who DID NOT preorder. There are CAs posting a single item here or there as they have limited stock on their instagram accounts saying “1 available” and whoever contacts them first is able to purchase.

I didn’t jump on this trend to be honest because my girlfriend had the white Murakami years ago and the white turned yellow and the nothing she can do about it.
