So, to let you know about the rapper - his name is Mike Shinoda. He is one of the three founding members of Linkin Park (formerly Xero / Hybrid Theory) and the heart of the band. He's contributed lyrics and/or major parts of most of their songs and he's produces 5 out of 7 of their studio albums (with their 8th album coming out in a few days from now!) in cooperation with the band's DJ - Joe Hahn. Mike Shinoda is a singer-songwriter, multi instrumentalist, producer, artist, and an absolute legend while being the most humble, kind, and down to Earth person. FUN FACT: In the band's beginnings, before they went mainstream, a certain record label approached Linkin Park's singer Chester Bennington (who was actually the last person to join the band) and said they will offer the band a contract if they get rid of the rapper (meaning Mike). Basically they said that Mike is ruining the band's potential and they only want to work with Chester. Guess what? Chester swiftly refused the offer despite the band's desperate need to sign with a record label and they kept their integrity and friendship instead. Not so much longer after that, they had finally signed their break-through contract and released their debut album Hybrid Theory, which became the best selling debut album of the 2000s with around 30 million copies sold worldwide.
One of the best albums from any artist ever released! Every song is amazing and something I will always come back to till the day I die 😂 not too many artist can make such timeless albums with such amazing quality control 🔥
Mike Shindoda is the guy who was rapping. He is actually the founding member of Linkin Park, which actually went by the name Xero before they changed it to Linkin Park. Hence why their new album with new lead singer Emily Armstrong is called "From Zero". Mike Shoulda is also the main song writer, guitarist, and keyboardist. Dude's a jack of all trades.
Rapper, keyboardist, song writter, engineer, producer: Mike Shinoda Lead Vocals: Formerly Chester, now Emily Bass: "Phoenix" Guitar: Brad, doesn't tour with the band anymore. Drums: formerly Rob, now Colin DJ: Joe
Mike shinoda is the main producer, secondary vocalist, multi-instrumentalists of Linkin park, he raps, produces, and play multiple instruments, produced and rapped on collab album with jayz and his rap group "Fort Minor"
Mike is a rap genius. He has 3 entities : Linkin park : Hands Held High Fort Minor : Kenji Mike Shinoda ( himself ) : I.O.U you can check all these track.
The guy rapping his name is Mike shinoda. He has a full rap project he goes under called fort Minor. He actually does collabs with a lot of well-known underground rappers like Apathy
they've got a song... it was my favorite by them when i was still listening to them.. called "a place for my head" i think... where he's got a bar about how the sun lends light to the moon without expecting anything in return... and it's dope af imo
man LP and Eminem are some of my english teachers😆 i used to go to the library to search on the internet and print the lirycs and the tanslations to portuguese. this was early 2000, i still have those papers somewhere. i did improve a lot at english in school too.
Everyone saying fred drust from limp bizkit represents the Nu Metal with his rapping performance, but Mike shinoda from Linkin park is truely the one mix the rap, mental, DJ performance to the top tier level, with mike shinoda's producing, the Nu mental pushed into the unexpected height from 2000 Hybrid Theory, Meteora 2010s A Thousand Suns, Living Things
Been enjoying these other vids but I will say, we need you back on that H Mack grind, youre so close to really getting to the best stuff.... the omegles 30s, 40s, and 50's are a complete transformation.
If you want to see more of Mike Shinoda rapping I recomend checking out the song he did with the X-Ecutioners called "It's Going Down". "Red to Black", "Kenji", "Cigarettes", and "Get Me Gone" from Fort Minor's Rising Tied album are also really good choices. He also raps in a lot of Linkin Park songs too.
Dude I am telling you check out Fort Minor that is Mike shinoda's rap group. I think their first and only album was just self-titled Fort Minor but it's still a classic I think you will like it
Heyo, this was a pretty big moment for the rap/rock nerds in the early aughts lol. I think you'd really appreciate their remix album called "ReAnimation", features the likes of Black Thought, Pharaoh Monche etc. Just an absolutely incredible album that still holds up imo remixing their biggest tunes (up to that point) with some "underground rap". The Jay Z remix album is cool too but it don't hit the same imo.
Hybrid Theory album is entirely fire and Meteora is my favourite album for sure. This is the sound that made me like them and later as the years went by they branched out to new sounds, which is ok,but to me personally it didn't hit the same way as this.
@ MichelleShow Been following you a long time. Dont half the time to see eye to eye with you but always appreciate your humor, troll bait and rage bait included and aside. Anyway, eff those paypal requests. I'm not here for requests, but suggestions. If you decide to react then all the better for all of us. Either way, if you decide to peep these suggestions, the W is all for you. Trust me on this, or if you don't chance an untrustworthy annoynmous pair of thumbs. (No diddy) Sincerely, check out the remix to this from the Reanination album. Track 13. Has a dope feature and production is 🔥🔥🔥 (the one the gundam looking mecha on the cover and all the titles in some coded text talk language looking ish from the AOL Instant Messanger era) And also, but far more importantly, listen to the Remix for From the Bottom w/ Chali 2na from Jurassic 5 from it. Track 5 coincidentally. If you're feeling like you want Linkin Park bar version they have a track from that album called Hogh Voltage w/ Pharoah Monch on it. They also have one Black Thought called Xecutioner Style. And yes, the concept album was glued to our cd players well before JAy Z copted the concept and reverse colonized the concept like a predator. No Diddy. And if you're feeling like less hip hop and in for some ethereal beautiful vibes check the remix of My December, which is coincidentally just on the eve of in season. Stay well my hater homie. @MichelleShow once again for good measure.
If you like Mike Shinoda his rap, i'd recommend his Fort Minor projects. The 'We Major' mixtape is very dope and contains incredible features of Lupe Fiasco, Celph Titled, Styles Of Beyond, Ghostface Killah etc.

Mike shinoda is his name, he had had a rap group called fort minor. I believe "remember the name" is like one of their biggest if not the biggest song

@@MichelleShowDef react to Remember the Name. The other big song was Where'd you go, but that one is a slow one
@@MichelleShow what ? You haven't heard remember the name ? That's crazy bro lol
Apathy did a song with them too,Bloc party
@@MichelleShow Remember the Name is a classic. It was the theme of the NBA Playoffs in '07.
This song has been on repeat in my playlist for as long as i can remember
This first album was revolutionary
2:05 this is actually Linkin Park's original sound. Their first two albums were Nu-Metal/Rap. "Crawling" is also great

That is an understatement
No doubt, I hope they make a remix album that I bought in 2002
Mike shinoda. He actually started Linkin Park and brought Chester on.... a lot of people forget that.
They had a singer before Chester as well.

Ok, but he never talked about Chester being alive tho?@@stanisawchudzik1095

This was the song…because of the lyrics that officially made me a Linkin Park fan. Now, there THE best band to ever come along.
These guys got me through my childhood. The Meteora album is my fav from them. Rip Chester
RIP, Meteora is really dope, I remember the cool extras that came with that CD.
they've got a song... it was my favorite by them when i was still listening to them.. called "a place for my head" i think... where he's got a bar about how the sun lends light to the moon without expecting anything in return... and it's dope af imo
Top 5 LP track especially when they perform it live
@@d1chosen973 i just watched a live version and i have to say... agreed.
This is my favorite LP song and it is even better live, Milton Keynes Papercut is honestly peak music
This is what the first album basically was. Also Mike shinoda is not just the rapper, he executive produces everything i believe
And writes most of the lyrics and composes most of the music.
I played this CD like crazy when it came out. Glad to see you reacting to it. More LP please
Anyone immediately start hearing One Step Closer playing in their heads when this one finishes?

The whole of the Hybrid Theory and Meteora albums were basically 90% rap with some nu-metal, that was their style
You have to watch the live version of this song from their Live in Texas release. The BEST singular live song I’ve ever heard.
