Love your videos, and they are very educational as well, you taught me a lot of positions for different maps that I started using and performing a bit better.
I think the only thing that really holds back the M103 is the giant cupola that is nearly impossible to hide. If it would be a bit smaller or recived some additional armor the 103 could be so much more effective.
Back in the day it was my fav t9 tanks. I even managed to 3 mark it in around 130 games without even getting to E5. It was rly good tank around 4-5 years ago, but now, sadly, its just old.
Even more than the T29 or T32 - you have to stare down your enemy. Any degree of angle left or right exposes the cheeks of the turret, or the fat bustle.
I think the second game is a good summary of the tank: Good at dealing damage but bad at taking it. Haven't played it after the buff but it should still be a overall kinda worse version of the AMX M4 51 or Conquerer but with higher DPM and those really nice HEAT shells. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.
I have to thank brawl mode for "unlocking" the top gun for the M103. Because of having T110E5 in the garage (it was through unintended means but it is permanently unlocked for me). Loved the Mirny-13 3d style.
I think the M103 is a hidden gem. Definitely recommend it! Amazing gun, crazy dpm, hull armor not made out of paper, turret weakspot managable, suited well for ridge lines. Only major downsize is the turret SIZE, the turret SIDES and turret TURN SPEED. But overall this is my most successful Tier 9 heavy. About 3.5k DPG. A good combination of armor + damage. It's much closer to WZ-111 1-4, T-10 and AMX 51 than I thought. Just like Emil II, the reverse speed of 12km/h is atrocious, plan peeking accordingly.
The cupola is so far back that, if your gun is depressed and you're staring right at someone, it'll take Tier X premium to come close to pen'ing the turret. I love the whole American Heavy line and this tank is no exception.
7:28 if m103 does not use the gun depression, you just hit the cupola. Its just so much easier and more obvious target then trying to figure out where you can overmatch. Also m103 is huge... Unless you are in type 4 heavy you are not higher then m103 and if you cosplay obivan kenoby you can just shoot him in the cupola as i said earlier. If the cupola wasn't there... Then ok. Its good to know you can overmatch, however the cupola is there so its kind of a useless fun fact
m103 is the GEM of the line its sad to see even skill doesnt understand the propper way of angling this tank, you bait with your frontal lower plate and angle 45 degrees, try to bounce enemy shells on the lowerplate on the outaide edges its fine tho skill you still are a legend.
M103 is one of those tanks disrespected by almost every professional player, while I play it way above my average winrate. I mean: Winrate 60% for me (a 50% WR player) on tier IX - this can't be a bad tank.
The problem is t29. It is still a gem of a tank and everything after it is just a letdown. If t110e5 was little bit faster it would kind of play like renegade and then it would be worth while playing with tanks after t29 in this line. Good tanks but tier 10 is not really worth it and lets face it there are better tier 9 and tier 8 tanks.
You think the E5 is not worth it? I think it's among the best tech tree heavies. A gun that bites, decent enough mobility, and great armor if you know how to use it (I mean come on, if the armor were stupid good too, like on the IS7, this thing would be more OP than the 279e).
T29 has been nerfed quite a bit though, now its top gun is horrible. I would say that this line right now is quite balanced (imho the problems now are more about premium and special tanks of T8/T10 rather than any tech tree tanks)
The problem with the E5 is its tumor of course. That just makes the tank unplayable in any competitive mode. It still can farm plebs in Random because of the gun, but that's all it got now, nothing more. I've been leaving my E5 in gara to be a dust collector after I got 100% MoE. For a tank requires that much of skill to use properly, the result is not worth the effort. The feel when I was playing with it was nothing special as well. I would pick the Obj.780 any day any time over the E5. Those 2 might look quite different but they have the same role in the game. The Obj.780 is weaker as a HT and it's even harder to play but it's more versatile, more consistent and it feels way more rewarded when you do things properly.
To be honest, just looking at the stats, I think I'd prefer this to T110E5. I'm a sneaky hull down player, and I really hate the Renegade. I'm cool having a weak spot, but not such a big one that the enemy can't miss. Meanwhile this tank has a smaller turret weak spot, and stronger frontal turret armor. Seems to me like a much more reliable armor profile, even if you must be a bit more careful.
Skill.. can you test Tiger 1 ? I had PC Tiger 1 , but trying it Wotb...Rating is broken since even a class 2 result is rare.. Is it time to lower the tier finally ?
@skill4ltu I am confused about the Experimental Equipment, not the new stats, but how much are we actually getting, WGing post is not so clear. Before it was clear before it was cancelled now it's confusing. But maybe I have got a pigeon brain 🐣
I actually really like this tank. Relatively fast, agile, has some armor, good looking, can play hulldown and the gun treats me so so so sweet that it's definitely its strongest virtue. It feels so snappy and hits more often than not. The penetration is great and the shell velocity too. Really, the gun is so nice to me on this tank that I would fvck this gun.
Ah yeah, when it comes to the negatives, a bit too big of a tumor on the turret although it's kinda possible to hide some of it when you're hulldown, the turret itself is too big as well and so it's easy to hit and its sides are weak and easy to penetrate.
Sooo much BIAS against this tank. It's a perfectly fine, balanced and fun to play tank. Anyone who says this tank would be bad, either sucks at the game or heard to many people say it would be bad

I can't pen a regular LT on their side, but this guy hits twice the front of an HT of higher tier... WTF is wrong with this game...
how did you lose and get 2,000 research points and still get 70 k credts? I do the same and when i lose i only get 2000 credits and like 100 resesarch points and i have premium acc

Compare to others branches Us Heavy's suffered of buffering.. I think they 'll be need to be a little nerfed when u see the capacitys of others Heavy's in the game, Too easy weak points with us heavy branch Players, team, matchmaking, skill crew, gold ammo, premium tanks in batttle,... determine the issue of the game now, not only capability of ur tank... Sorry, but boring to play with so easy weak points Sometimes it works but frequently is only 1 win battle for 10 loses ..

Not really, it all depends on how you like to play...For hull down it's Phase, but if you prefer heavy support with a quick accurate gun it's the M103.
@@CMKseven I don't know about m103 but Phase is pretty damn accurate. I was actually stunned how accurate Phase is. Small aiming circle, quick aiming. Quite impressive. Very agile tant for a heavy.

But the M103 gun is more reliable ESPECIALLY at longer ranges, and better DPM, it's just not a front line tank that you want to trade with. So it really depends on the preference of the individual and the situation on which is "worse".
This tank is not just a step back frpm the t32. No its a jump off a cliff. This crap gun cant hit the broad side of a mountain from 10 meters away....Atrocious accuracy and the turret is made of butter as well...
If you want show some bad tank in action, you should tell your dad to not fix your mm while recording video. M103 is such a pain in the butt. Thankfully e5 is kinda rewarding our grind (depends if you as a player can use it properly).
Always loved the look of this tank, and that it's properly historical and been in service.

Hated this tank when I went from T32 t M103....grinded it all. Years went by, played it again and now it is one of my fav tanks

I never had to play this tank but ran a few games when it was introduced and replaced my T34. Found it quite good before I sold if for the slot.

In real life M103's 120mm gun uses more energy than leopard 2's (or Abrams and other modern tanks) one, by around 2-3MJ more.
