Oh man, this one is _really_ nice. I know it may not be the first thing on most peoples' minds, but that small mention of God in the second verse does so much better than a lot of worship music I've listened to as a Christian at conveying what it needs to. I didn’t want to listen to this song at first bc I knew this one would hurt just by the title, then I listened, and every word stabbed me so hard. I miss everything about him. He was the best friend I ever had. “If I knew the things you would do, the scars you would leave, the trust I would lose, would I run away?” The truth is I wouldn’t bc I’d go thru all that again just to have him back. I was an entirely different person when I had him in my life and now I’m just hollow, making it day to day.
