Cici is a fine addition to the team, so genuinely nice and talented, and her big buffy shoes always make me smile. Hope she gets to jam with Bea for some full on metal mayhem.
Yep. Sadly, just after my son and I finished building the most beautiful P-bass, Green w/all gold hardware and a telecaster neck, it was stolen along with my Les Paul project guitar. There is just something about the tones of a good bass ain't there?
Musically bass speaks to all of us subconsciously doesn't it, none musicians are often focused on more bass heavy genres, but yeah...I get your sentiment fully, for me when constructing a song the bass is the last thing I do, I love to write on the spot, looking for colourful ways to dance around the guitars whilst locking with the drums...there's such an often unnoticed flamboyance to the bass...which is precisely what you said, I'm rambling lol.
Cici is just an incredibly musical player. It seems like most bassists are frustrated guitarists, but bass is her calling, and it shows. I love seeing how she achieves some of her sounds and moods.
@@CiciVonStrangelove You have been.. .. _Anderfoldened!"_ Don't be surprised if you begin exhibiting strange nocturnal behavior, like, you know, waking up at 3am wearing a completely unknown bass and serenading salamanders beneath the Moon Of Sauron, which as we all know can only be returned to it's normal moony state by spontaneous bassery.
Good for you Cici....I've followed dave Simpson for a few years and you via him...what great about you and Dave is you seem pretty down to earth but with decidedly non down to earth talent and ability...then again I could be wrong and you could be a right pair of divas lol... you've gone places...what you said about learning even from a beginner is something I've learnt in the last 35 years of playing.. ..there's always something you can learn if you stay humble and willing to listen...something us players sometimes forget....to hear someone as accomplished as yourself say it is a timely reminder...
Nathan and Lee had great chemistry but Lee and Cici seem to have even better chemistry can’t wait to see more videos from these two, and more from Cici’s epic board
I honestly think that Cici is a great addition to Andertons, her playing on the Sounds Like videos is great and seems like a killer player in general plus she's really well-spoken and intelligent when it comes to gear so I'm definitely looking forward to seeing more of her
I'm not a bass player but I'm watching because I enjoy Cici on the sounds like and on Dave's channel. Great addition to the team and excellent chemistry I'm this video.
That opening sequence was amazing guys, I've been out of music for 5+ years now, used to gig on the same circuit as you Cici, being from Worcestershire also. Getting back into music now finally and finding these videos has been great fun! I also did the same thing where I watched the Paul Gray clinic, and had to play the riff, fingerstyle 😂
Just a great video. Watching both of you share your love for this instrument is inspiring. And both of you are so humble and chilled. So refreshing. Great seeing Cici on your channel now she is so talented.
The joy these two express is wonderful and infectious, couldn't help but smiling through the whole thing. Nice to see down to earth folks who just really love what they do.
Normally when someone else is on all about the bass (other than Nathan and Lee) I get bummed out. Cici is such a “genuine” person, that she is always fun. The dynamics with capturing their meeting and interviewing each other… well done! Brilliant show! Cheers
Its so great to see two really cool people get along so well talking about basses of all things. I think she’s going to sell a lot of pedals for you guys. I’m going to watch all their videos tonight.
I like how the basses changed size when they swapped. Lee's one went up two sizes easily and became a huge chunky beast in Cici's hands. And hers stopped looking so chunky and became a more slinky little number.
That was really great, hoping tomsee many more bass videos like this! Cici is so talented and makes a great addition to the "All about the bass" videos.
That was a lot of fun. Hardly surprising with these two and a rally great vibe between them. Cici is always a lot of fun and engaging and a flawless player. Plus the best hair in rock.
As a confirmed six-shooter I’ve just spent an enjoyable half an hour watching this. Who’d have thought it?! Good to see two passionate bassists talking so naturally about their game. Great video guys
what a great video! That child like excitement and passion for music, is so awesome to see, from both of them. That's what I need to focus more on these days. Sounds silly, but allowing yourself to be free in a moment, is a thing to treasure. Looking forward to more vids with you Cici. You just got a new subscriber :)
Superb, All About The Bass is my go to for Fri evening relaxation after work, enjoyed seeing Cici with Dave on the recent Andertons videos, great chemistry with you both, I look forward to more. Thank you.
I'm very excited to see these two as a bass partnership as they are a great asymmetric pairing, so we'll get lots of perspectives and cool sounds, and amazing positive energy off both!
Always wanted a "Lee meets Lee", this is the closest we've had (and a lovely one at that)! Nothing against Nathan, but I personally enjoy a lot more how these two are vibing!!
I became fascinated with the bass while watching Larry Taylor playing with Canned Heat at a private show in Salem, MA in 1969. The band was giving a free performance to the Salem Youth Center during their opening. I was less than ten feet away from the band. I got to talk with Bob "The Bear" Hite. This was a big deal for an eleven year old.
I am on the other side of the pond in Boston & listen to a lot of Anderton’s. I love the end jam you guys played. Cici you put everyone in a happy place (I can speak for everyone). I may have to get a bass now. Not the fish! 🌞
Great to see CiCi on the team found her through some FB vids and some things with Dave glad to see she's doing well! Seems like she's made for this job, she's a great player really likeable presenter, can't wait for more.
Awesome, I love the AATB series and I'm super excited for a new regular to come on in addition to our fine gents Nathan and Lee. She seems like a great player with a warm personality, can't wait to see more of her.
I've loved the sound of the bass since I first heard Geezer Butler's thundering tones almost fifty years ago. I did briefly try to learn to play a four string years ago but I'm impatient, I was frustrated I couldn't play like Geezer with a few days practice :)
Thank you so much for having me be part of this, it was an absolute blast! :)
Welcome! I look forward to more from you.
You're so inspiring, Cici! It's such a joy to watch and listen to you! Thank you! :)
You're amazing! 🤘🏻
Go Cici! Amazing 🥳 and such an inspiring video!
I'll never understand how Lee isn't one of the biggest bass players on the planet! His playing is so informed and deliberate, it's next level!
Cici is a fine addition to the team, so genuinely nice and talented, and her big buffy shoes always make me smile. Hope she gets to jam with Bea for some full on metal mayhem.
Thank you so much! :) Those are the comfiest shoes ever despite the fact they’re falling apart now! 😂
The bass doesn't speak to everyone, but to those of us it does it becomes part of your heart and soul.

It’s like a third arm to accompany my third leg
This is because the bass can actually shake your soul, does for me anyway!
Cici is just an incredibly musical player. It seems like most bassists are frustrated guitarists, but bass is her calling, and it shows. I love seeing how she achieves some of her sounds and moods.
Thank you so much Scott :)
The Slaptain Meets!
Edit - This was fantastic! I love their overlapping energy and the way Cici is being folded into the Andertonian world.
Andertonian! Yes! lol
I love that haha! Thank you, it’s an honour to be part of it :)

I want to see A LOT MORE from this duo. I think they could be something special for Andertons! ❤️
Thank you so much! :)
Unless they’re good actors, they seem like 2 genuinely lovely people doing what they love. It’s great to see.
Nathan and Lee had great chemistry but Lee and Cici seem to have even better chemistry can’t wait to see more videos from these two, and more from Cici’s epic board
2 lovely people there & both very natural which made it enjoyable. They should both be proud of this video.
There's great chemistry between these two. Cici is delightful! "Vlad the Inhaler", lol!
What a lovely person and a great player! Andertons is really the best at finding great presenters!
Loved every moment of this geek out with some genuinely nice folks

You’re both the nicest people and inspirational players. Please do more together.

Musicians talking about their gear with so much joy... it's so relaxing to watch. Just loved it, and im not even a bass player

Best idea since Windows NT. No script, just human beings connecting. You have a concept. Perfect : )
Love all these new additions and players showing up on the team.

Love Cici!!!
Thank you so much!! :)
Fantastic closing jam. She’s an amazing edition. Can’t wait to see all the Anderton’s peps jamming soon.
This is the best video. Cici is an amazing addition to the channel. Keep this up, awesome playing, guys!!!!

Brilliant! I’ve been waiting for Cici to appear on AATB
Great video!

What a great set of stories. CICi always encourages me to click and watch and now take notice of the Bass world.. 👍🇦🇺
Thank you Jimmy!! :)
That was really great, hoping tomsee many more bass videos like this! Cici is so talented and makes a great addition to the "All about the bass" videos.
As someone that often finds themselves creatively bored of guitar this was super refreshing. Cici has great vibes and Lee's excitement is inspiring.
That was a lot of fun. Hardly surprising with these two and a rally great vibe between them. Cici is always a lot of fun and engaging and a flawless player. Plus the best hair in rock.
New to channel but very familiar with Cici aka Queenie, as I first was a Dave Simpson fan! Here simce I recently bought my 1st Bass!!!!
This is such a wonderfully natural and interesting video. Makes me so happy to watch
Cici you rock! Love hearing you playing bass!
I loved listening to you guys talk so passionately about what you love. So happy to be introduced to Cici through Dave Simpson, my guitar hero 🎸🤘

This was lovely. Really wanted to hear 'Destroy', though.
That was excellent. Great playing and chat. Looking forward to part two. Thank you.
Great chat this. Two enthusiastic friendly people who seem passionate about the instrument. The rig swap is something I’d like to see more of!

So funny to see the enthusiasm that erupts when bass players finally meet someone else that cares about the bass!🤣 (speaking as one myself)
How many years of All About The Bass and finally someone mentioned a fish! Big fan of Colin Edwin and Porcupine Tree here.
It was like you’d been friends for ever ! Great episode, I look forward to more.
