This Is a performance of T. Viswanathan in 1988 at the Indian Consulate in NYC . Douglas Knight is a the senior disciple of T. Ranganathan and amongst very few people who follow the Palini Subramaniam Pillai style of playing the Mridangam . 2018 marks his 50th year of performing . He was also the main accompanist for his wife , Lakshmi Knight until her passing , today he still accompanies his son Aniruddha Knight
