I just sent my 1st submission this past Monday and was stressing with it being lost in transit. PSA received it and I feel grrrrrrrrrreat! I'm watching this to fortify my knowledge- thanks Steve
Perfect timing on this video! was just preparing my first PSA order. You say, "You can put the box in another bigger box". do you reckon that should always be the case? I was going to do a 35-card submission with AusPost and use one of their smaller express boxes with a lot of bubble wrap inside. I assume the safe the better, but interested on your thoughts. Also do you do any card cleanup/have any 'rituals' to try get a better grade? tabs/perfect centering in card saver/order of cards submitted. I've seen some TH-camrs talk about this kind of thing.
I just go through sgc. I lose 25% on the profits but make up for it in turnaround time. I get 4-8 listings before I'd have my psa bulk back and have found my cards sell just as easily. I grade better then average cards though nothing under 20 dollars raw so not a play for everyone
What do I write on the submission form when I’m doing combined submission? Where it says total number of orders in this package? Would I put 2 on each submission form?
Thanks for the video Steve. Very helpful indeed. For EU would you ever suggest using Dave & Adams PSA grading service? It’s like $23 per card with $40 return shipping.
I would suggest doing the maths and figuring out how many cards sending yourself would make it worth it, but I'd always recommend just doing it yourself even if it was a bit more. For peace of mind.
Im in the process of submitting mine to PSA, the return shipping doesnt show Australia. Is that fine? Im paranoid some average Joe would look at the address and doesnt knnow what country to ship/deliver.
Hi Steve, awesome video. I want to send about 120 cards for grading. Am I better to send small lots to keep them under $1,000AUD (but shipping will cost more), or can I put multiple submissions all under $1,000 in a big box? I want to avoid paying gst but at the same time I’m aware that the shipping fees will be more. Thanks!
Yes for when you take the item to the post office, you can ask for multiple labels, or if you print it yourself at home you can put them in multiple places.
Does psa declare the value of the card by current listings or sold listings? I have some cards that have only listings over 500$, but theyve been selling for less than 500$.
hey so i sent some one piece manga cards with the PSA express service. From you experience roughly how long from when I sent out to cards to get back here in Sydney?
Hey Steve, how do you declare the value if you ship the cards to the US? Do you have to fill out a CN23 form for customs declaration or is it not necessary? Thanks for your incredible content!
Hello, i just fill out a form on the auspost website, i declare my packages at $50-500 depending on how im feeling, but never anything higher. I believe lower value can keep them safer.. I talk about insurance later in the video, i hope that helps.
Hey there! Thank you for the video, helped me understand all of the things about PSA grading how to ship and things. I have a few questions, I want to send 1 card (regular grading choice the one which is 25 dollars) and I want to send it by fed ex any idea on how much the shipping will cost for sending 1 card? And is the regular one 25 USD or AUD? I would like to know because i just got into collecting and I want to grade my 1st Pokémon card and you taught me how much it would cost and all the other information, thanks alot for the video!

Thanks for this video. Extremely helpful as I'll be submitting to PSA for the first time very soon.
Glad I can help
Ready to watch this and submit as I go! You’re a champion Steven!
You're welcome :-)
thanks so much - this was really helpful as I intend to send my first bunch of cards to PSA!
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks this was very helpful as someone who previously used a middle-man grading service.
Glad it helped!

I'm sure it will be fine, I just like to be overly cautious, bigger boxes are more expensive but likely a little bit safer :-)
I don't clean the cards, just wipe off any dirt or grime / fingerprints, and no rituals to get a better grade

Steve I just found your channel I love it and you inspire me
That means a lot. Lets grow together.
@@PokemonSteven yessir I send cards off to PSA every week I have recently been sending off Erika’s secrets from Pokémon 151

Casual pokemon snap illustration cards...... Omg 🤤
Grand slam of a video, Steven! Thanks for the video dude!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Every bit of this was 100% helpful. Thanks for another great video.

Can you link some of the boxes you use for packing cards?
I have a packaging/shipping tips video on my channel which shows everything, but I'll make another one soon

Submission price is the not dame as declaree value right? What if the declared value is over $1000
Does that effect the import fees to Australia?
Mate submitting makes me feel so nervous. This has helped me a lot. Think 2024 is the year I send some into psa.
Great Video! Do you have to pay any custom fees when sending it to the US? How do you fill in the US Custom Declaration?
You don't pay customs when sending to the US, but you might pay it on return based on your country.

did you have to fill out a form at the post office when sending it off? and is the only thing you put on the box the barcode?
You can put the psa barcode on the box, and yes you need to pay for shipping to PSA
This video has been so helpful, massive thanks! 😎
sorry for the noob question, but when you say shipping labels, I presume it's the shipping address to PSA ? thanks
Yes for when you take the item to the post office, you can ask for multiple labels, or if you print it yourself at home you can put them in multiple places.
@@PokemonSteven thank you sir. Your tips are very helpful
Heya Steve, do you have a recommendation for where to buy the cardboard saver and sleeves in Aus?
I use palms off gaming, i dont know if they are the cheapest but the guys who run it are great. They deserve my money for sure.
Would you use any of the Australian grading companies?
hell no
Does psa declare the value of the card by current listings or sold listings? I have some cards that have only listings over 500$, but theyve been selling for less than 500$.
They should be using sold listings!!
When you ship to psa from Australia are you marking it as a gift and contents are sub 1K
Yes
Can you put 2 cards into 1 card saver?
no it would not be a good idea to do this
if you're using any other courier (other than fedex), i should be using the USPS CU Receiving?
Yes sir
You mentioned that you use Australia Post, which address would you send it to? The USPS or Fedex's address? How can you tell
The usps address

Hey buddy, sorry I didn't respond, they should probably be back by now haha :-)
