@@iamconsomateur3832 I can guarantee from your comment that you weren't around then. London was MUCH more impoverished after the war with "rationing" still common in the 1950's. Nearly, all my friends lived in Council Estates like me ( next to the largest Estate in Northern Europe ) and yet I never knew anyone until I was around 16 who did not have 2 parents at home with The Father giving emotional, practical, and financial support to the Mother and there was so little crime that The Evening News vendor left his papers and MONEYBAG on the pavement overnight and collected the residue papers and money the following morning in The 1960s/
Then came the massive change. LIFE CHOICES are the reason and yes, you are right, they can and do lead to poverty.
98% of Asian, Muslim , Jewish, and North African Families have 2 parents but that plummets to 21.6% of Black households nationwide, and yet those families average 4 children though they are already impoverished which makes them...............even poorer....

As you know, we--and several other "western" countries--are being overrun and destroyed by outsiders who don't share our language, values, religion, or patriotism. Plus, many are just plain terrorists or otherwise enemies of the country to which they immigrate and into which they have no desire to conform. I love learning about horses and I watch a bit of TH-cam and I read as much as I can. I don’t know the legality re clipping the lovely whiskers but I do know about the importance of these hairs……. somebody questioned me about them and they didn’t agree as they kept their horsies clean shaven. I told them that the horse could detect underground trains, tsunamis and rumbling earthquakes. What to say?? Whiskers are important. I love the lovely soft kisses of horses, at least they look lovely, I’ve never actually had horsey kissies but they look so cute. Good wishes from Chris, Belfast NI……WHISKERS RULE❤.

Glad the Canadian lady is enjoying her trip to London.
When most of us visit other countries where a different language is spoken we try to learn a few phrases first - even if it’s just to say hello, please, thank you etc. So perhaps the tourists who visit Horse guards would be well advised to learn basic “horse” before pestering one of the magnificent cavalry blacks. When the ears go back the horse is sending a very clear and unambiguous message : stay away, I’m fed up of being mauled.
The horse suddenly acting out like that just shows how unpredictable they can be. They are sentient beings with a mind of their own and anything can set them off. Some people are clueless as to the damage a horse can do. As a general rule of thumb, unless it’s deliberately protecting itself from a aggressor, a horse would try to avoid trampling anyone. But they are still prey animals and, if they get spooked enough, nothing would stop them getting to safety.
The guards are all excellent horsemen & women and, if the horse trusts them enough, they can quickly rein them in and calm them down. But they are only human and a few seconds of reaction time could spell the difference between a rapidly controlled incident and a disaster. That’s why I’m always worried when the tourists crowd a horse when there are so many people that there’d be nowhere for it to run.
That’s when it could rear and, as they say, what goes up must come down, and what’s coming down would be a huge, heavy horse with iron shod hooves the size of dinner plates.
So please, if you are visiting this summer, try to remember it’s not a petting zoo. I know they are truly remarkable animals and the urge to get up close and touch them can be irresistible but please respect their personal space. Even the most placid of horses can quickly reach sensory overload with who knows what consequences.

Everyone know what they are, they come from the so called « the lost territories of the republic », they are the same « difficult » children’s who are born in France from migrants parents and who consider themselves not to be French.
You remember when France was burning the last summer ? Well, you have the responsible in front of you.
They have been a thorn in the side of France for decades and the phenomenon is only growing.
Just remember that France don’t use the multicultural way of life, she use the assimilation model because the multiculturalism always conduct to violence, tensions and in the end, at war.
This is whyFrance is not McDonald’s, you don’t come as you are, you want to live in France you have the duty to embrace the French culture.
Problems appeared since the assimilation is not applied in « lost » territories (literally lost because law and orders don’t apply there anymore, even cops can’t go there without heavy reinforcement). They are almost an hostile separatist state in the country.
