anything above 200 luck is pretty much wasted with skeleton champion being the exception: giant spiders silk drop rate: 200 luck is 12% increase, 400 luck is 15% increase, from 200 to 400 luck you only get 3 % so 1/4 of the value loot pile drop rate: 200 luck is 1% increase for epics/legendarys and 0.1% for uniques, 400 luck is 1.2% increase for epics/legendarys and 0.12% for uniques so 1/5 of the value skeleton key drop rate: 200 luck is 6% increase, 400 luck is 12% increase so 1/1 value, at 500 luck its a 18% chance to loot the key for anything else, luck from religion and a 150 roll luck potion and you are nearly maxed out
Why would luck increase the drop rate of Spider Silk ? I heard since its monster loot, luck does not affect it, or if that's not true...I also heard that luck only reduces the drop rate of items like: Troll pelt, silk, etc. I want luck to matter, so I want to know your sources :)
@@notalan1160 its done weird, luck practically reduces the chance of getting whites and greens, and increases chance of everything above. if you farm living armor, for example, or goblins for quests, you want 0 luck, coz you want the green quest item, but luck will help you with any blue or above quest loot. I you wanna know how exactly its done, its like a game throughs a 3000 or so faced cube for each table of loot(each tier has its own amount of faces, from which we get the %). Monsters have common loot table, like gear and stuff, and a quest loot table, which contain all them items. For each point of luck we get rid of few low tier faces and add a few to higher tier.
A tip for fast looting when doing piles is to put the legendary and higher pulls (or just loot worth keeping) into the chest right next to it so you don't have to try to pick it up off the floor. Slightly slower when hitting the pile, but way faster for grabbing the loot at the end and getting out. It's overall a big time save. That or have designated drop spots on the ground that way you don't mix loot on the floor, but even then it can be hard to pick it all up since you have to constantly reorganize the inventory to fit things properly. I still think the chest is the fastest option.
The hard cap is 500 for luck but 400 is like 95% of the way there as far as the effects go. It mostly just filters out common and uncommon junk but depending on the mob/pile it can buff legendary and unique rate from~1.5% to ~3%. Other than that it wont affect the actual rolls on items, just the rarity. It is great for mob drops though, using spider silk as an example it brings it from 10% to 27% at ~400 luck.

I think a nice content idea for dark and darker would be custom lobbys, so you can play with your community. For example Hide and Seek would be funny, tho you would have to have the right to disable/enable pve. Or Host tournaments for fun or in a competitive way. I think it would be a nice and fun idea for the game
as a pile enthusiast, i suggest you take with you a purple/legendary lyre for when you loot the pile, that 4/5 resourcefullness give you a lot of interaction speed with piles.
that is the buffed version of mystical gem they just recently made all the piles a lot better. you can make profit off them but its best done in trios for inventory space, and takes a big investment the average wont pay off but a good roll over the course of 10 will.
I do kinda wish that the loot in the middle room between cyclops and troll was instanced as soon as both bosses are dead, and scale with the combined luck of the players who killed them (If the same player kills both bosses, it applies their luck bonus twice)

im pretty sure having higher luck may reduce your chances of getting blue items the higher it is because it rerolls the slot for a better rarity item. so you are getting more legendaries but less crafting items. i def could be wrong about that

If money storage was more prominent, it would deflate the price of keys and gems and their new value would settle at approximately a level where they represent the chance of rolling a higher value item like a uniqe or named item.

Pretty sure luck only affects the rarity of an item. All the random rolls are just random. It just applies to the grade of items and gems.
