Hard to say no to these really isnt it. Try to find a reason why you wouldnt want to be seen on your bike in the dark?
@@ontheroadadventurehad a biker behind me the other night during rush hour in the rain. Black bike, black gear and black helmet. I couldn’t see him but sensed something was just behind the car. I only just made out the silhouette of his mirror in my rear view mirror. When he changed lanes all you could see was his rear light, nothing else. Really difficult to make him out and tbf it would be a SMIDSY without it being the fault of the driver.
Yes absolutely, you can’t blame drivers if we don’t help ourselves

That's a good product. It's also good if you breakdown and have to walk in the dark or even if you just stand next to the bike. The visibility is very beneficial

We are very impressed by this, the cameras at night dont show just how well this thing glows in the dark! youd think it is hooked up to the battery or something. Magic!
My preference is the Scott jacket and trousers combo for that bit more money. I wore them in torrential rain the other day and did the job brilliantly. Not sponsored by them or anybody but we all need choice. Enjoy watching your trials and tribulations in all weathers, big thumbs up from me!
Do they offer a reflective option like this? what is the cost out of curiosity?
@@ontheroadadventure the cost was 80 & 90 quid, can’t remember which was for which. The pants are black only but the top comes in either black or yellow (which I had). You can be seen from Mars, which is a thumbs up from me. Great fit and has a stretch in it so if you get the right size it’s always comfortable and doesn’t flap around. Got mine from Motorlegends and they changed the pant is it was a tad short on the leg and sent me the ladies version as it had a slightly longer leg…… who new! No charge on either of the deliveries to and from. On a side note they are an exceptional hands on company and always my first port of call.

That's a great product!! Really makes the rider stick out well in low light , darkness or raining when headlamps point towards it. Just as a safety idea it's great plus the waterproof protection. Nice option for layering up too . Great down to earth review from you two. Even those reflective bands on the legs stand out well in headlamps. 🏍️💨👍
Well, we can’t add anymore to that comment! Like I say every now and then a product comes along that’s just a no brainer! A need not a want. The reflective bands on the legs are the Oxford Mondial 2.0 Textile trouser which we also highly recommend.

We love their stuff, we think Oxford products really look after real world bikers, those who don’t want to or cannot afford to spend thousands on each garment can still have quality kit that will keep you warm safe and dry 👍

I got myself a Frank thomas hiviz all in one waterproof for about £50 and it really works and easy to get on without falling over 🤣🤣
We have tried those all in one jobs! like you have pointed out they can be difficult to get on and off, especially for the ladies every time a wee stop is needed! Does yours glow like this?

Links in the Description bud, We will have ours on the bike at all times now, ready for rain but also for when it gets dark. We consider this now an essential piece of safety equipment. Once you have ridden with it at night you wont go with out
Had a similar jacket I got for my push bike when I was banned. These seem very good and a dammed site cheaper as well👍
This is why we are so proud to have the support of Oxford Products. They consistently offer great quality kit but at a sensible price, we dont want to pay £ssss for a Textile jacket even if we could afford too! Its money we would rather spend on touring and actually riding our bikes! We have the Oxford Mondial textiles for example at not even £500 the whole suit, it lasts years and is as waterproof and warm as anything else ive ever tried and perfectly good enough for our needs.
I love Oxford bike gear and I'll definitely look in to getting one of these for an upcoming Scotland trip. Also love your videos, keep up the great work!

I love your reviews, just so watchable ☺
We also have the Oxford Advanced Textiles, the Mondial suits. It’s what I had previously and what il but when the current ones need replacing 👍
We have also been eyeing up the summer jacket that’s a piece of kit we have not had as of yet but would have benefited from for sure!

I ride home from work quite a few times from Hill Barton from there to sandy gate and that road at night is dangerous at times and I think that waterproof jacket will be a must especially pulling out of hill Barton opposite Crealey that's a nasty junction !! so yeh going to get one thanks for review and congrats on your 4.18k :)

We will be wearing ours even when its not raining, the video does'nt do it justice. You may have seen runners with this sort of thing at night so you will have a idea of just how effective this is. Oxford Products have done us Bikers a good turn here and our not pulling our pants down for the price on it either.

We both have Oxford Mondial 2.0 now, my last Mondial suit must of lasted me 3 years at least and about 50k miles I reckon

We are not keen to join the Yellow high viz brigade quite yet lol But this meets us in the middle, None of these types of jackets look amazing but honestly when its dark and/or raining i really dont care provided it works well, and Oxford have got this one Right!
Good video guys I have a Oxford Rainseal in black but it has alasticated cuffs on the sleeves so you can’t get them over your gloves, was gonna change it so might be one of these now

Ideally I understand you want to avoid wearing a back pack on a bike. Should you come off it will stop you rolling over meaning abrasions will be focused on one point. Try and tie your bag down to the pillion seat/back rest or top box etc if you can?
Brilliant video guys I currently wear one of these jackets, you picked up on everything that I personally think others lack 👍 keep doing what you’re doing and your channel can only grow 👍 hopefully this year me and the wife will be moving down do Cornwall this year, you never no we may even see you out about. We keep looking around Bodmin/Turo or possibly Falmouth, being a motorcycle instructor I was offered a job in callington so need to be near as dame it to my work… it’s such a beautiful part of the country… it’s a bikers Mecca.

Yes that’s right Oxford products are British, I’m not sure that everything is made in the uk, that’s rarely the case these days but they have built a brand that is loved and trusted by Bikers including us

Yes we have seen runners with these for a while and wondered why they are not made and marketed at bikers, we knew we would buy one in an instant. Yes Bridge are stocking them and will also match sportsbikeshop on price when asked 😉
@@ontheroadadventure didn't know bridge would do a, price match as I'd prefer to buy of a local business, I did check out and try on up there my Xmas treat to myself but they were £40 more expensive and thought it would have been a bit cheeky to ask.

Hi Ian, yes there’s plenty of room, the cuffs have elastic and the Velcro for tightening it down due to the slack available I guess. We whole heartedly would recommend this to anyone riding on two wheels

We are really impressed by this Bright Jacket, We honestly feel its a huge step forward for Motorcycle safety at night and of course great in bad weather, All brands need to follow this lead dont you think? Id buy a helmet that illuminated like this at night too, would'nt you?

Great jacket, 💯 % recommended this to my biker friends, as i already have one and also have the oxford rainseal hivis jacket. It would be great if this jacket and the hivis jacket came as a reversible jacket

Great Question, No Oxford Products have designed this to go over there Garments so have used "Smart sizeing" - To you and me, This means if you wear a Large Oxford Jacket, you order a Large Oxford rainseal Bright Jacket. We both did this and both fit great and also they have various velcro adjusters to ensure it fits well
I would go at least a size up? I just ordered from sports bike shop cheapest price £56 and goes up to 6xl so should fit every one!!
@@johnterry804 Honestly my advice it buy your jacket size, Oxford have planned for bulky jackets underneath. I have XL jacket and have XL rain seal bright jacket and mine has bags of room

No idea but we threw the little bag away as i dont have patience to roll it up and get back in there each time. We stuff ours into the lomo Waterproof Crash bar bags
That's actually very impressive. How does it look in daylight, in poor visibility? Will normal car headlights still light it up?
Cool is'nt it?! Yes it doesnt need to be pitch black to reflect light although of course its effects are amplified by the darkness. If you carry a waterproof jacket anyway, Why wouldnt you wear one that makes you so much more visable at the same time?
