    Thank you for taking the time to come out & film this event. We always have a great time putting trick clinics on & meeting other passionate OneWheel riders in the community. Great edit Mario!🙏

    As a fairly experienced rider that hasn't delved into too many tricks, this was super helpful. Thanks for filming/posting this, and to Dave and Jake for providing some valuable insight to the community.🙏

    That visualization of drawing a line from the balls of your feet through the center of the wheel was crucial, and definitely the trick I have been missing when attempting this on my own. Great vid, excited for more of these!

    Eyyyy!! Ive been wanting this to come out! Advice has helped me alot especially on varials n 360s, can't wait for the next one I won't lie. I wanna thank TFL for those bang bumpers too btw 😉

    So good, Mario! Very useful. I've been trying to learn all of the tricks in this video (minus the 360s) and this was the most comprehensive explanation on how to approach them.

    me and brian from onestop board shop were talking about you the other day(my board broke and i went to go pick it up)

  • @RichieValentine
    @RichieValentine 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Question:. When you ride "backwards" by simply leaning I'm the opposite direction. Is the board still controlled by the front pads when is now techically the rear pads when you ride backwards?

    Always appreciate your videos. How you made it through the rain without damage

    • @TheBoardGarage

      Thanks! Jake came in clutch with his car and drove me to mine, and then I drove back for the gear and some passengers. The ride out of Manhattan was nuts, water on the bridge entrances and tunnels had already risen over a foot.

    Hey Mario, not sure if you’ll see this comment given this is a three week old video. Have you seen Slydog’s one wheeling videos? He looks like he’s going super fast on the Onewheel - keeping up with traffic and often beating it. Do you know if it’s possible to modify the speed on an XR? Or does he just have good camera work with the speed limit just low on American city streets?

    • @TheBoardGarage
      @TheBoardGarage  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Slydog is one of my Onewheel heroes. Has been for years. I still wear the original Flatland3D gloves because of how iconic he made them. Just the coolest style.
      Anyway, yes, he does ride that fast. He's very lightweight and extremely skilled. There's no speed modification for an XR, but those who are light and skilled enough, fast riding is possible

    Instead of a rotational body varial, I simply scissor switch feet (taekwondo stance switch). Much easier, quicker, and safer.

    Billy Shredder's trick clinic: Pit Viper glasses, barefoot, loose dirt mounds, water, and a can of Krylon if you scuff your board.

    I bought a OneTrickWheel .... I honestly have no idea how to use it since there aren't videos on how to practice different tricks

    • @TheBoardGarage
      @TheBoardGarage  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      If the stuff in the video doesn't give you enough of a starting point, you could also reach out to Dave or Jake. I linked to the OneTrickWheel site, and you can also find their Instagram. They're very responsive and always give a lot of good personalized tips and training/practice ideas.

    • @OneTrickWheel
      @OneTrickWheel 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah, give us a shout. We will ask you what you’re trying to get out of your training & we will give you some helpful tips. You can also ask anyone of the talented riders on the OTW team. More content is in the works on topics like, “How to Train.” A starting point for working on maneuvers with your FeelWheel is in this video. Happy training & we look forward to hearing from you.
