Yeah, I have seen a lot of people selling off some of their gun collections recently, I love a good used gun deal, at least prices have come down since covid. Same with ammo luckily.
I wanted to feel an MC2SC in my hand, but no one local had them in stock. Ended up with a very lightly used Hellcat for $470. Didn't go wrong, but I'm still curious about the Mossberg.
I checked one out at a local shop and it seems very similar to my wife's p22, which has excellent ergos. I like the idea that she would be comfortable with it if need be, but I don't know about the clunky takedown and didn't like the trigger as much
I love my Taurus G3C, what a shooting surprise. I am a Shield guy but picked up the Taurus as a "Why Not" Cheap and felt good in my hand. Since then I have thousands of rounds through it and what a joy. Love it!
The fact that this takes, glock, canik, and p226 mags is a major plus to make this a must have. You will be surrounded by your friends with all those other guns. All those mags. Great great gun. You can get a used one for 200. Compact, full, or optics ready
Thank you for this video. I'm an experienced gun owner and information like this in such a volatile economy and a time where local safety isn't promised is very important. I hope we see an updated version in a year or two. 🤝
Can't agree more, I have carried the Shield plus all but maybe a few days in the winter since i got it and it runs so well, I run a 13+1 with a 15 round extra mag occasionally running the flush mag if I have to be very discreet but after years of rotating between 4-5 carry options, I still run this and for fun will occasionally go back to my original Shield 8+1 because it is so light. I would have dropped the Canik MC900 round lifespan for the amossberg MC2C or MC2SC and I only have one pocket pistol bit still a great video. I just made a video literally 2 days ago on my Shield plus vs Original. Anyone with any of these would have my respect if they know what they are doing. Thanks!
What about the berretta apx carry? Single stack 9mm, 2 mags holds 6 or 8 with pinky extension, nice serrations, awesome ergonomics. Has a rail for whatever and will fit in your pocket.
I'm picking up my P10m in a few days. Snagged it for $225! Gonna try it out as my work carry. Got a G43 desantis tuck-this II which fits for $56 and some talon pro grips. Very excited.
For anyone used to revolvers and willing to sacrifice some capacity, the Ruger LCR is a good choice. If youre a hammer fired guy like me, theres the LCRx model that includes a hammer. It comes in 357, .38 special, .22, and strangely enough 9mm as long as you remember moon clips that act as speed loaders. It's a good "get off of me" kind of gun or even a backup when your semi auto has its hiccups. It does go a bit more than 500, but you can find it around 450 on special occasions.
You might want to look at inflation across the world. Because our inflation is lower than every other G7 country. And I 100% agree with you on the Taurus GX4. I only took it out of my rotation when I heard about the recalls. I still never had any issues with it though.
I personally carry a single stack 9mm on occasion because it is the most reliable pistol I own (100% through 3000 rounds of all types). Currently you can get a CZ P10M or Beretta APX Carry single stack for $250 online. I’d take either of those over a SCCY, Diamondback, Hi Point, et cetera. Even over a Taurus, though my G2c ran flawlessly and I liked shooting it-issue is my other Taurus pistols and revolvers have been hit and miss on QC. Also, you can still find surplus double-stack Beretta Cheetahs in .380 ACP and Makarov pistols in 9mm Makarov for $350 online. Not bad options.
In my eyes you can go too cheap. I would rather buy something high quality and used than crap and new. The sweet spot is a g43x lower on gunbroker and then build the slide yourself. All the important metal parts will be brand new. By careful spending and waiting for sales I was able to put something very capable and nice looking together for $350 all in including the 15rd PSA mags. PSA micro dagger is also a great option for anyone.
Interesting problem with the Canik. I had a problem with a S&W M&P 9c at around the 700 round mark. It started having ejection or extraction problems at around 700 rounds with any ammo. Sent it back twice on their dime. Second time it came back fixed, barrel replaced, although I was never sure what the problem was. It has worked since, however. We had all gotten used to better manufacturing techniques making handguns from reputable manufacturers working 100 percent out of the box. Still behooves us to break them in. I would have to say that someone looking for a cheap gun is many times making a buy under pressure, will probably never need to use it, and will likely never fire it or shoot much more than a box thru it so they’ll never know if it works or not. My personal recommendations for affordable handguns are the Mossburg, S&W Shield, or a police trade-in. For what it’s worth, one of my favorite LGSs told me recently that the Glock Glock 26s and 43s were currently not very desirable and might be had fairly cheap. Same with 1st Gen M&Ps. I’ve seen full size police trades being offered for around $250.
I love my G3C...its actually a great shooter too, its my main edc actually. I have the EC9s too which I do carry at times but its also my least favorite to shoot.
@spnfirearms what do you think of the LCP Max? I had a hard time pocket carrying the Glock 42 and from what I've seen the Max is around the same size other than a little bit shorter barrel. I still think the original LCP would be best since I want to go as small as possible but would like your opinion
You just can't beat Taurus so many good options from $250 to $300 revolvers, single stack, and compact. I have a g2c and th40 got both for 250 each that's just not something you can do with most gun companies for under 500. match that with my mav88 i have a decent loadout for the same price someone might spend on their first ccw
Before I got my Glock 23 I had a EC9S and it ran awesome. It didn’t likely run the sig hollow points( I’m not sure what they’re called, they have a “chrome” casing) other than that the Ruger worked amazing looking to pick up another one here soon as a back up/ pocket/gym shorts carry. As always great quality content and I can’t wait to see what you have planned in the future 👍
Brother, I have to say you’re doing God’s out here for us just. Whether it’s starting out the hobby or if they want to get good at the trade you’re showing us to the right direction. And I really thank you.
Good evening SPN Speaking of budget firearms, I just found out about the Stoeger STR-9MC. From what I hear, it is somewhat similar to the Springfield Hellcat. As you know, the Hellcat is not a budget firearm, but I know you only have good things to say about it. That being said, have you have you had a chance to personally inspect the STR-9MC? If so, what are your thoughts about it? Btw, I'm going to a local Gun Show tomorrow. I'm really wanting to try and find a Kel-Tec P32. I know it's a Kel-Tec, but I have only heard good things about them. Also, it is extremely hot for the majority of the year where I live, so pocket pistols are what I gravitate to the most. Thanks for all of the awsome content! I hope you and yours are doing well. Take care and enjoy the rest of your weekend. 👍💯
@@Iceberg82 It really does! My main issue would be aftermarket support (holsters, magazines, sights, etc etc). That and the fact I've never heard anything about Stoeger's Customer Service Department. For all I know, it could be phenomenal! All in all, I might hold off for few more months to see how the reviews pan out. I was really interested in the Canik, but now I'm glad I waited. Take care and have a good one.👍
I appreciate that greatly man! I am looking for a p32 as well! And yes I’ve seen that and the subcompact from stoeger. Just giving it a little time. I usually get the firearm 3-6 months after release just to minimize the chance of first batch errors. Respect!
@@ChrisfromGeorgia 💯 agree! I was seriously looking at the Canik as well but will all the recent issues just like spnfirearns had I’m waiting for awhile… I also like waiting a year to let everything settle and let the aftermarket grow. Just like with Stoeger.
@@spnfirearms I totally agree. That's why I'm glad that I got my Glock42 after it had been out for some time. From what I've heard, there were some issues with the first "batch" that came out. So far, I have only had one stovepipe and that was on the second round through the pistol. Since then, I haven't had any issues at all. Hopefully the Stoeger MC keeps receiving excellent reviews. I really dig the P32 and how light it is! It will be perfect for my "work gun." We aren't supposed to have firearms at work, but I think as long as you aren't flashing it around, they aren't going to physically pay you down or anything. I'm a courier, so I do a lot of driving with many stops in any given day. The G42 is great, but it is just just a hair too big to be my Summer EDC for work (I'm as skinny as a stringbean).🤣🌱
Thanks for your content, great channel. I'm looking for a pocket pistol and I have 2 in mind. The two I'm considering are the Ruger LCP Max or the S&W bodyguard 380. Which one do you believe to be the better of the 2?
Speaking on true budget I want you to do a fmk and a sccy (dvg and cpx) review! I already know what you will think of it but I'm still curious because I like your channel.
Dude your video’s really hit home and the truth is most of us have bills everyday and live from payday to payday and I’m a Taurus man because of the economy we live in today and if you try to put a few bucks away for a rainy day it’s hard to afford glocks and sigs
You said that all the pistols on the table had been 100% reliable to this point. Did that include the mc9 or did you say that you had been having malfunctions with that pistol?
Video idea🔥 history of Glock and or model breakdown. I’m seriously looking at get a Glock now with all your love about them. Looking at 26 or 43 for cc. Which gens had issues which didn’t on release. Price, size etc… thanks
To be honest, it all depends how it looks when I take it apart. I usually just glance at the internals at the store and then if they look decent I buy it, take it home and do a further inspection. All depends on the wear and tear but normally they tend to be pretty solid!
I try not to buy new, for whatever reason I just feel more comfortable buying a well taken care of broken in used pistol. My gen 3 19 was 375. It was a trade in and I couldn't tell that it was used it was so clean. Probably ran 400 rounds of different ammo (mostly blazer and pmc) and for SD rounds I tried silver tip Winchester, underwood x defenders, hst, Norma monolithic, and ammo inc. Never a single malfunction. Even put 100 rounds of aluminum cases blazer one trip to the range and it chewed up everything. Only one malfunction (ammo related) Winchester white box 115 went way down in qc. I was shooting g19 and my buddy shooting a g17, we had 2 light primer strikes each out of a box of 50 rounds. And at once point, we both had the light primer strike at damn near the same time
man, you know if the g3c in 40 is as reliable as the 9mm? i wanna pickup a 40 and id rather grab a shield but idk if i can swing the extra money. i already have a cz p10s
@@spnfirearms what do you think of it compared to all your others? I really love mine despite it being 20 years old. It was my first pistol and I have had a hard time finding something I love more at that price range ever since.
I found someone selling their g26 gen 5, it all stock but he dropped the trigger weight from oem to 3.5 glock aftermarket connector and the local gun store installed it, do you think those connectors are reliable ?
I wonder how many accidental shootings were prevented because of a heavy trigger??? Honestly a poor reason for "defensive" triggers being heavier than necessary. Spot on list though. M&P's and CZ's in a lot of ways to me are better than glocks out the box. They're typically cheaper too. Love those things.
I don't know if anybody have same issue but my grip on Taurus g3c always accidentally pressed mag release bottom and disconnected mag after first shot.
@@bigmacfullerton7870i own an xds and a g43 and my 43 is more comfortable, but the XD does a great job it's my smallest gun and it carries really well
I am surprised the ruger ec9s made your list. There have been widespread problems with those. I had to have mine sent back and it still doesn’t work reliably
I'm kind of surprised, I've had my EC9s for a few years now. I've had only one issue and it was ammo related, one fail to feed with magtech ammo and I was using the extended mag. Not saying I don't believe you alot of guns can and do have problems, I just always considered the EC9s to be pretty reliable.
The one firearm I would take to war with me over any gun mentioned in this video is the Springfield Armory XD9 Subcompact. Under $400. Built like a tank. Low recoil. Super accurate. 200% reliable.
When it comes to budget arms I gotta give it to the psa dagger better features and ergonomics than a Glock and $299 out the box compatible with Glock parts and mags simply unmatched
Just got to the pocket pistol section...I dont really consider the EC9s or the DB9 to be pocket pistols. I had the Glock 42 for pocket carry and it was too big and I dont wear skinny jeans either. Both of those are right around the G42 size wise. I do have the DB380, unfortunately its on its way to the factory as we speak. Ill probably be trading it in towards the LCP when I get it back.
I know both these are expensive but I carried a Sig 938 “Rosewood” 9mm for a decade reliably! Built off 1911 design using factory (7+1) and Loved it in any pocket! Now recently swapped back to a revolver and picked Kimbers SS K6s 357 magnum (6+1) as my EDC because it’s the “Best” hammerless revolver with night sights, & smooth trigger I have Mastered! I will keep both these as my EDC pistols till I die! Both expensive as hell but get what you pay for!#Sig#938#9mm#KimberK6s#357mag/38spl.#Sig❤#Kimber❤
Not to long ago I went to a pawnshop near me they had a deal for Glock 43’s $300 brand new I paid something like $323 after tax. I already have one so I was like Maybe I’ll “mod” this one out and make it a range toy or something cuz for that price I can’t pass it up 😂 A couple days later decided I’ll grab my wife one they didn’t have the deal anymore lmaoo
That's a nice selection of very reasonable prices firearms. I really like single stack pistols. I do not like Glock Pistols, only due to the 22 degree grip angle. HOWEVER, I really like the Glock Single Stack pistols!!!! Weird huh, lol! For some reason that makes no sense to me the grip angle seems to be non-relevant with their single stacks???? They are *thin, *conceal very well, *very accurate! I got to shoot a friends G 48 10 rounds in the mag +1. Which is plenty and I would carry 2 spare mags. Little bit snappy with +P ammo but still very manageable! The Taurus G-Series pistols are great. I have 3- 9mm Taurus pistols . Great presentation! Best to ya',,,,!
Belive it or not I won the sccy cpx2 with the crimson trace optic has been flawless over 3k rounds had it in mud in saltwater environment in the boat still runs like new!
I just want to say THANK YOU ! ( SPN ) Boys this man is speaking our thoughts out loud! Y’all don’t need to spend 1k to get you a strap he calls BS when it’s BS I appreciate that stuff ( talk your talk (( yes I want a Gucci glock or a sticco 1911) but guess what I work typical hours so yeah
For those shopping, keep in mind that the Glock 43X is ideal in every way EXCEPT the trigger. Prepare to allocate more money to replace it for a better shooting experience. 👌
I'd send in it to Taurus, I have the G3C and it's been great with a few different brands of hollowpoints...the chamber might be too tight. How many rounds do you have through it and how does it do with fmj?
The Canik TP9 Elite S.C. also belongs on this list! Not as thin or short as the Mete M.C. 9 but it also didn't have the reported issues either. 👍
Yes, it's been rough. I was only able to buy one pistol this year. I appreciate your honest reviews!
That’s a fact… and respect man, lots more to come! Thank you

Been carrying the G2c for nearly three years. Don't foresee changing unless my arthritis gets much worse.
“Got more sticks then a bird house”
Great video brother! Can't go wrong with none of the choices. Carry whatever you are comfortable with.
When you purchase used, do you swap out any internals?
And at once point, we both had the light primer strike at damn near the same time
Keep up the great videos
Thanks man, I appreciate that. Respect
I know how it is being rough. I have 3 weapons but I can only go to the range once a week.
Yessir! It is what it is! At least you can train! Respect
P10s, favorite carry by far with talon grips
I’ve gotten 2-3 Glock 43x’s and one 48 for 400$, if you can, id definitely recommend!
Respect!
Nice budget collection cuz. 💯🙂👊👌✌️👍🙏
Thanks man, I appreciate that! Respect
Love your videos man. Curious, what defensive ammo do you run in the Ruger EC9S?
I run Speer gold dots or civil liberty defense rounds to save weight
Great video! You have a nice collections of guns. One day I’ll have as many as you but for now I’ll stick to my EDC G43x! Keep it up the great work 🎉
i’m looking to buy my first handgun and i’m deciding between the m&p shield plus or the glock 43x can i get an opinion
Shield plus!!!
@@spnfirearmsthank you
I just found a new Sccy DVG red dot ready on Gunbroker for $162. Could not resist.
Picked up another PSA dagger, awesome quality for 299$.
man, you know if the g3c in 40 is as reliable as the 9mm? i wanna pickup a 40 and id rather grab a shield but idk if i can swing the extra money. i already have a cz p10s
I got you bro, my wife put the money up for my only edc gun this year. Life is good tho, lol
Yessir. At least it’s something! Respect
Bro you need to try the Springfield
XD line
I have the xd!
If it’s a ghost or apex trigger it’ll run flawlessly. Worst case scenario buy a new connector that’s oem from Glock and put that in!
@spnfirearms Thanks for caring ❤️
🔥🔥 collection
Thanks man, respect
Hey SPN looking to add the M&P. Where’s the best price for it at?
Palmetto state armory so far!
@@spnfirearms thanks Bro! Take care🤙🏽
Had to get rid of my Canik it jammed non stop.
My man came with that fire for the weekend! Love it keep doing your thing my g!
I got you! Lots more to come Tomorrow too! Thank you and respect!
Brought to you by FJB's handlers.
I don't know if anybody have same issue but my grip on Taurus g3c always accidentally pressed mag release bottom and disconnected mag after first shot.
As a glock fanboy, when I picked up a S&W shield plus and I shot it better than my glocks I immediately hated my life 🤣
Haha respect!

Go grab a Springfield XD. It’s better than all of them. 🤯
@@bigmacfullerton7870i own an xds and a g43 and my 43 is more comfortable, but the XD does a great job it's my smallest gun and it carries really well
If not a Glock, a Springfield XD is the best budget firearm.
Sig 290 kinda like that fn single stack ya used to carry do a review
How do u base the prices for these firearms if online what websites are legit that you use? Newbie and I’m looking into some of these great video!!!
what ammo are you running rn
When it comes to budget arms I gotta give it to the psa dagger better features and ergonomics than a Glock and $299 out the box compatible with Glock parts and mags simply unmatched
The CZ p10 doesn't run steel or aluminum ammunition.. my EDC is a Ruger lcp max. $359
any for sale
No sir! Sorry!
Cz p10m at palmetto state armory for like $250
Just got to the pocket pistol section...I dont really consider the EC9s or the DB9 to be pocket pistols.
I already have one so I was like
Maybe I’ll “mod” this one out and make it a range toy or something cuz for that price I can’t pass it up 😂
A couple days later decided I’ll grab my wife one they didn’t have the deal anymore lmaoo
Haha dang! It happens. Respect.
Great vid, LABEL CHAPTERS

Taurus g2c
All that means 💩 compared with a Glock 43X MOS with PSA Micro 15 round mags, BY FAR the best EDC option at this moment.
Belive it or not I won the sccy cpx2 with the crimson trace optic has been flawless over 3k rounds had it in mud in saltwater environment in the boat still runs like new!
I’ve heard people say that they have some that run flawlessly and others that are just complete junk. But if it runs, it’s going to run! Respect!
I just want to say THANK YOU ! ( SPN )
Boys this man is speaking our thoughts out loud! Y’all don’t need to spend 1k to get you a strap he calls BS when it’s BS I appreciate that stuff ( talk your talk (( yes I want a Gucci glock or a sticco 1911) but guess what I work typical hours so yeah
What a great video!
How can I order my pistol be sent to me
I have those same coffee mugs😂
Haha respect!
No Psa Dagger?
Not yet but will have one soon!
CZ P10s
The do everything firearm.
I wish I had smaller hands like you bro it’s a curse
For those shopping, keep in mind that the Glock 43X is ideal in every way EXCEPT the trigger. Prepare to allocate more money to replace it for a better shooting experience. 👌
It's not the trigger, it's you. I just run a flawless obstacle course with that trigger.
I wanted to like the G3C. Because the feel and capacity is just right. But will not reliability run hollow points.
Fair enough! Polish your feed ramp and it should run fine!
Fair enough! Polish your feed ramp and it should run fine!
I already tried it, no luck.
I'd send in it to Taurus, I have the G3C and it's been great with a few different brands of hollowpoints...the chamber might be too tight. How many rounds do you have through it and how does it do with fmj?
