BoA with raspy voice, Ningning with angelic Disney voice, Wendy is something in the middle. They're a complete trio.
Can't believe SM just dropped an all-time great b-side and performance on a Christmas/winter album, this song is insane and so is the combination of singers! This could easily become my most played song of the year!

It's the way Wendy has mastered her voice and I can't wait to see ShiNing's voice mature and grow. Not that it's not fire now. Then you have BoA's sultry voice. The reason SM vocals will always be at the top is cause they know how to nurture their talent where as other companies change the way their vocalists sing.

The whole song is an eargasm 😳🤌🏽 but omg I'm obsessed with that riff by BoA and how she brings a husky voice at times, like makes the mood of the song 1000% better 🔥 she really brought the experience in this type of songs
And yes, like you said, i loved that each of them has their shinning moment and sound heavenly together despite having distinct voices. Easily the best track on this SMCU album. Collab of the year already
Amazing from all of them & YES! BoA’s voice has that huskiness to it & it’s so satisfying to listen to
Time After Time = Ballad of 2022.... I'm not a vocal fanatic by any means but this song is simply amazing from start to finish. I absolutely love it. Since BoA is on the board of SM and guides quite a few of the productions one could easily thank her for the vision she's had in orchestrating many of the vocal collabs over the decade.

All of them have a fantastic voice but BoA. Her voice is so different from other kpop artists. She has RnB vibes and is unique like you can tell easily it’s her, and sounds so classy without trying hard because she has experienced it for 22 years.

The 3 combined reproduced the Red Velvet Quality: Wendy deep round tone + BoA's raspy/warm tone (equivalent to Irene's/Seulgi tone) + Ningning middle air bright tone (equivalent to Joy / Yeri). That's why they sound so good together.

Notice in the first two verses, in the beginning of the song they gave the low notes on Ning, she excels so much and her tone is so good and techniques on lower registers. She reminds me of Taeyeon. Wendy and Boa is good but their lows are not as good as Ning and Taeyeon. They excel on highnotes but heck even Ningning can do those highnotes, Taeyeon too.
I am just saying Ningning will be a beast of a singer when she grows up, she is still young her voice will mature more and her range just keeps on increading and the fact her low registers are already perfection.
SM and aespa is lucky to have her, now I know why SM did not let go of her and the sole survivor of SMrookies. From day 1, SM knew she will be a part of the new group
bet you've only heard Wendy's few low notes. Ningning is good but she is nowhere near Wendy's level yet.
and just to add, she won't be considered as the female idol who has the widest range in kpop for nothing.
Ningning being a beast of a singer is still yet to be proven while Wendy and especially BoA already have years to prove their worth, in 4th gen a lot of groups have a power vocalist you need to hope and pray NingNing will stay in the game and won't be buried by better vocalists so you could actually see for yourself if she'll really be at the top and a beast of a singer at the end just like what BoA and Wendy is in their generation.
I agree 100% with this, Ningning is so young and masters her voice already, she sings effortlessly and more than anything is so clear tone! Is insane! She will keep maturing and her voice will change little by little into this reach beautiful voice like aghhhh can't wait!!
lol yes Ningning can do the high notes but they just sound so sharp all the time.. sometimes i just feel uncomfortable listening to her high notes.
