Shame discontinued, great reels which shared the same spool and parts with shimano range below the exage. So easy to service ... except for the damned bits that make up the anti-reverse which is all one piece in all models above this. I use mine for european bass live baiting from shore and kayak, so they get a right battering, but don't mind if they go over the side (price wise at least). Finally, thanks for sharing, servicing now and cant remember how to get that damned anti-reverse bits back in place! edit: Oh, you didnt do the clutch ... the hardest bit by far. I'll go look for the exploded diagram

How smooth would you say the drag is? I have a little 6ft rod i take out for some fun when i am carp fishing and have hooked a few carp on it but just hate how choppy the drag is on my current reel so im looking for an upgrade.
Hi sorry for the late reply. The drag I have noticed to be smooth but maybe lacking strength on anything over a kilogram. I believe its rated to 3kg. If your chasing carp in shallows or with lots of reeds where the runs will be short I definitely recommend this reel.

Pelikun Outdoor Thank you. Yesterday I ordered the rear drag version of this real so its good to know its smoother than the reel I was using.
@@ssaammeelliiss I don't touch rear drag models ... much much harder to service yourself. This was a hard won lesson.
