Is the Shimano FX pretty tough reel in terms of its overall reliability? I had an older Shimano 2000FX (built in Japan) that lasted for years till the anti-reverse mechanism broke. Loved the little reel as I had no problem pulling in 5 pound rainbows with the Shimano 2000FX.

Im still using mine for more than 10 years in salt water environment, i only use mine during summer and in 10 years i never disassembled it still works fine and after every use i just wash it with lots of water, im planning on cleaning it hats why i search on youtube on how to clean and lubricate it,
wondering if you can help, i have a shimano fx200 and i noticed the rotor head appears to have some play ,idk if this is from wear n tear or designed like that, but since it has the quick fire trigger thing for opening the bail it might be no longer as smooth operating as it should be or might be doing more damage when using it since there is possibly too much play in the rotor head ,i dont think its possible to remove the head or fix this issue as i see no screws or nuts to do this, will it come off if i remove the gears or the main arbor(ie post)?
Will you please tell me about its lock system actually I have same reel but unfortunately anti lock system doesn't work can you show me how to repair lock
Yes, can beat them easily. Eventhough this reel is the most basic reel from shimano but it can perform well and very durable. Mine is about more than ten years but still okay.

Tambah washer di main shaft bawah spool tu bang.
