This was from the pilot, which was shown as Episode 2, since "Batman" was originally planned as a one-hour, once-a-week series, but ABC, which picked-up the series, had only two half-hour early-evening (7:30 P.M. ET/PT) timeslots open. As a result, episodes were split into two parts, with a cliffhanger in the middle. Originally, the cliffhanger would have been resolved after a station break, but instead, left viewers hanging for 23 1/2 hours. That was the move that made "Batman" a smash hit.
what made this show so good was not only a grown man running around at night dressed like a bat, but he also ran around during the daylight dressed like a bat, and that, to me, instilled more humor to the shows campy feel. In addition, everything being labeled was far over done, but even THAT incorporated the shows appeal for humor in its viewers, which were mostly children. This was the only primetime show ever casted from ABC where two prime time episodes (both brand new) were aired back to back during the week. One episode created the exciting story and plot while the following nights episode created the affect and escape of the dynamic duo. Nothing can replace the 66 series and its actors. Id love to see a new invention of this real life comic book in action, but you can never duplicate the authenticity of what was......66 Batman.
@TheEpicfailvids That's supposedly Jill St. John wearing a robin disguise. This is from the episodes "Hi diddle riddle / Smack in the middle" and has the distinction of being the only episode of the series where anyone dies. (her character fell into the Batcave's Atomic Pile (this was the old style name for a Nuclear Reactor, and is not an irradiated hemerhoid !)
Robin sounds a bit girly in this clip?, perhaps its an early Batman and his voice hasnt broken yet. The Batmobile is 1 cool car. I would love to drive that car around on todays roads, people would be drooling at the mouth.

When I released my car chutes to do a quick turnaround, the drivers behind me didnt like it. Blocked their view ahead of the road.

love the fact the label was because they knew kids that were just learning to read would be watching and it was a sneaky way to get them to read more.
Watching Batman and Robin is very very old school
This was the REAL BATMAN none of this modern xxxx
Never mind this device. I love how everything in the Batmobile is labeled so precisely.
All time favorite handsome guy robin

The batray must emit EMP,(Electro Magnetic Pulse). That is the only thing that can stall out an engine.
Did anybody notice that the entire chase between Batman and the Riddler with phony Robin, there were no other cars on the road?😂😂😂😂😂😂
wow batman had the first car GPS lol
why dont the bad guys just shoot batman and not put him in a big trap that takes 15 minutes to kill him so he can escape?
So....they dont have time for seat belts, but helmets are a must?
I don't know how many mpg the Batmobile gets, but if I had it, I wouldn't care how much gas costs! lol

This is not the real Robin.
It is very funny that the Riddler and the fake Robin are putting on their helmets on.

When it comes to rescue Robin I am going to guess that Batman will have to find out where is the true Robin.
If anybody does agree with me on this topic, then can you please be so humble as to give to me thumbs up? ©®
I would highly appreciate it very much.

@Phantanos That's what I was thinking -- Batman had EMP before there was EMP! : D
I refer to cars driven by old ladies as the "old batty mobiles".
Holy Bat Laser, Robin's a girl..!
Why is robin a bad guy? and to "philipriding" Where else would people drool from?
