Absolutely stunning! The earth is a canvas. The wind, sun and water the tools as God creates a masterpiece for our eyes to behold. Watching this you cannot help but be in awe at how this all was formed. What a treasure. Incredible footage, editing and accompanying music as always. You are becoming quite masterful in presenting these gems mu friend
You definitely got off the beaten path for this video! I have had the honor of spending two complete days wandering around Paw Hole. Not having a 4WD I parked on House Rock Road and hiked the two miles in. One of those days I hiked up in the dark to get there for sunrise. Then on the other day after catching the sunset I hiked back in the dark. In 2012 we got to White Pockets. We hauled a 4WD vehicle all the way from St George to get over the SANDY roads. At the end of our day of exploring there was a solar eclipse! Getting back to our trailer it was in darkness and there were hundreds/dozens of jack rabbits continuously jumping in front of our headlights.
Thank you so much Randy for taking your viewers to such an Amazing and Inspiring place. This planet is so beautiful and we certainly serve a Mighty GOD !! ... Robin :-)
Superb video Randy! Great camera work in this one and excellent editing. Loved the interlacing of the standard camera shots with the drone and the extended selfie stick. Vermillion Cliffs is an incredible area. So unique, so much to explore, and so stunning. Definitely one of the top areas that I have had the privilege to visit. White Pocket is beautiful but my vote still goes to Coyote Buttes North. It’s worth the hassle and years of permit rejection. Definitely lives up to the hype and it is also so much more than The Wave. If you can scramble to the top of the butte, there are several really beautiful features (Melody Arch, The Alcove, and Top Rock Arch). Maybe I am getting ahead of myself and you did win a permit on this trip?!?!
Hey Michael, thanks so much! Yeah, 0 for 3 on the permit for the north buttes. Really would like to hit both the north and south sections of coyote buttes in my lifetime. Enjoy your weekend!
Excellent video. This area is absolutely beautiful and your video did it great justice. I have to say, the editing and music and timing were simply perfect and left me hoping the video was longer. Great job bringing this to us all. Hope you are having a wonderful week.
Great job of capturing the experience with the Razors from Kanab Tour. Company. As noted, the ride out and back was worth the cost and then White Pockets just topped it off!. We did this in October 2021. We've rented Razors twice from them....they are amazing machines as noted in the video. Wonderful way to spend a day in Utah/Arizona. Thanks for the video - it brings back good memories!
Wow that place is absolutely gorgeous! The rock formations out there are incredible would love to see that place one day! So unique looking. Really like that picture at the end! Thanks for sharing 👍
WOW! Such a dramatic place. I've never even HEARD of this place before until I viewed your fantastic content on it. You're taking me places I've only dreamed about seeing. GREAT drone footage. You're a real pro with that drone. Thanks....thanks....thanks!!!!
I have seen a local tour guide advising people not to try to drive to White Pocket on their own because it's so easy to get stuck in deep sand, but based on the BLM map of the area I don't see why I would have any problem getting there in a Toyota 4Runner with high clearance and 4 wheel drive. The only area where the BLM warns of deep sand is on 1079 just past the entry to Paw Hole, going east. It looks like if you either skip Paw Hole or backtrack from it and take a loop of several other roads you can get to White Pocket without going through any heavy sand areas. But I'll check with the Kanab BLM office when I'm there in October to go over the map and get their advice based on current road conditions. I'll take a tour if I have to, but would prefer to do it on my own and car camp overnight near White Pocket to see and photograph it in late afternoon and early morning light.
Sounds like a good plan, Don. Being on your own would give you much more flexibility and of course save a lot of money. I've heard the same, but if you have a good map and believe your vehicle can handle to roads (we hade absolutely no issues), you should be fine. Enjoy!
Mike, did you have any difficulty getting there? I've looked at the BLM map and the only place they warn of deep sand is just past the Paw Hole trailhead going east. That's not on the most direct route to White Pocket, and even if you want to go to Paw Hole, you can backtrack out of there and a take a loop to go to White Pocket. I'm thinking I should be able to make it in a Toyota 4Runner with 4WD and high clearance, but will check with the BLM office in Kanab on current conditions and the routes before I go. My plan would also be to car camp there overnight.
Hey Jason, happy to hear you've enjoyed this gem! So special! Have a blessed week! Also... not sure if you saw the comment I left on one of your videos - the Nemo Disco 15 was a FANTASTIC recommendation!!!! Really enjoying it.
This gives me even more confidence that as our major parks become overwhelmed with popularity, there are still gems that can be explored in near solitude. We've been past here several times, but will add this to our list for next time. Thanks for sharing, particularly the insight from the guide. Safe travels... Tony
This look like an overall great tour to do! The the ride there looked freaking awesome! The fact you were able to use your done here was great! You definitely got some great great drone shots in this video! The colors and rock patterns were just amazing 👏. Really awesome video Randy! You definitely outdid yourself on this one!
Hello America's Park's😊😊😊, White Pocket is ABSOLUTELY SPECTACULAR...AMAZING!! I sure wish I was out there. Randy, really enjoyed this video. Got me thinking about checking the place out next time I'm in northern Arizona and Southern Utah...oh yeh, White Pocket is very close to😊😊😊😊...Rainbow Bridge, National Monument! 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍.
We were just a few weeks ago at Coyote Butte South which is right next to White Pocket. We hired a guide too because of the road. The whole process started with trying to get permits to the Wave but were not successful, so we applied for permits for Coyote Butte South and were successful to get 2 of the 20 permits allowed per day. If you return you have to go to Coyote Butte South. We also spent a half day at Wire Pass a beautiful slot canyon that leads into Buckskin Gulch the longest slot in the world. The parking for that was about half way to White Pockets.
Hey Jerry, nice to hear of your love for this area! I am 0-3 on Wave permits, but do have the south buttes in focus. We were able to hit Buckskin via Wire Pass as well on this trip. Believe we went about 5 miles into the canyon. So amazing! Take care!
Hey Randy... a fine video with excellent sound track and commentary...looks like you were way off the beaten track...And seems like a guide with the appropriate vehicle was the best bet...The White Pockets was amazing.... you drove a long time and all of a sudden....there it was... All the best from Hank and Pam of South Texas
It was really a privilege to visit this one! With the 4x4 needed for clearance and sandy trails and the maze of trails in the desert, a guide was most helpful. It was also especially great to have someone with us knowledgable of the area. Thanks for joining us Hank and Pam!
I always watch your great videos. I remember you guys doing Peekaboo and spooky slot canyons. We visited Joshua Tree National park last week, next time you guys are there you have to do the Chasm of Doom!! It would be fun watching that.
I passed Rock House Valley Rd in 2017 on my way to Cliff Dwellers Lodge on my second to last day of a trip to Southern Utah and northern Arizona. I knew about the White Pocket but had neither the time nor the right vehicle to check it out. Just driving by the Vermillion Cliffs was impressive but your tour has certainly given me the desire to return to the area. Thanks a "vermillion!"
I wish I was checking out White Pocket in person, amazing scenery and the drive out looked awesome fun too. Superb weather for October (well, in the UK anyway) and the rock formations around Randy's Cap were awesome! Great to have your own tour guide, great footage and great drone flight as well, cheers Alan
Wow what a beautiful place and the colors! Someone else did a recent video on Vermilion Cliffs and it’s getting very tempting to plan a trip to Utah next fall, I have a Jeep XJ and I could drive there. Thanks for the video.
I have watched many white pocket videos, but this is the best one ! Tease us with the name of the next location ? God Bless you and peace be upon you. Amen.
Enjoyed the video! White Pocket is a fascinating place, and you don’t need a permit to explore it. If you are looking for an incredible place to video or photograph, this is the place.
Randy, this terrain reminds me of Canyonlands N.P. Also, last year on the vacation I took out west, I stopped for a 4WD tour (my 1st.) on the back side of nowhere near Vail, CO, I also was able to drive a Razor.
Thanks! Actually, the big shocks took the bumps much better than I expected. The worst was the low temps on the way out. Inadequate clothing and totally froze! :)
AZ and UT landscape is a must for any hiker, mountain biker....any kind of traveller! Just love all there is to see and do there! Randy do you make it a must to visit southern UT and northern AZ every year?

You are the man, Dwayne... great observation! The footage was actually taken on our way back to the beginning on the north end. Didn't have any footage from the way out and wanted to end the video at White Pocket itself. Impressive catch!!!
Can't remember how I presented it, but this trip was booked as a stand-alone. Out backup to the Wave was Willis Creek Slot Canyon and Kodachrome SP. As for White Pocket - these guys did a great job: Kanab Tour Company: kanabtourcompany.com

It' priceless!

Wow, Harry, what a great story! Enjoyed reading about your national park memories!
The drone shots turned out awesome! Such a stunning place with all the twist and turns in the rocks. Looks like you had a blast!

we did it in a 2008 Jeep Liberty 4x4 with a 2.5" lift kit.
White Pocket is an amazing place. I drove there in a 4X4 and camped. It is awesome at sunrise & sunset. Great video!

Utah never ceases to amaze with its fantastic rock formations. It almost feels like you left Earth at times! Another great video Randy!
Hey Andy, really enjoyed this place! Another gem, like you said, in Utah. Take care!
Also, watched the Southern Idaho video again last night. We really packed it in with the 5 stops you recommended. What a great day!
@@AmericasParks It was a blast! We really did cover a lot of ground in one day. My daughter and I still talk about how much fun we all had!
