I'm all for it. I'm tired of working, just to be existing. I want to work to start actually, living tomorrow is not promised.

Exactly. With less hours will we still be able to make a living? What kind of restraints will they incorporate to "make it more fair?"

I work 5 days, but only 5 hours a day. I love it! I go in at 830-130pm and it works great. I get off early enough to get my errands, personal things and Im not stressed!

So you only work 25 hours a week basically. Your salary has to be huge. Thats a good job if it makes ends meet for you keep it espicially in the time were at right now.

Would be better for people 's health. Don't have kids if you can't bring yourself to spend quality time with them. (I work with the public/families and I get so tired of hearing parents say, "I can't stand the noise.. ", " I gotta get them out of the house!"
Our society has pushed all of us to live TO work instead of working to live. Well except for the rich. They can do whatever the heck they want.

News reporters can do 4 day work week....rotating schedules and reporters. Even kids needs just 4 days school week. School can be very stressful. I'm a teacher and I see how tired kids can get at the end of a 5 days school week. They lose interest

My favorite work shift was 4/10 hour days. I was able to schedule appointments I would normally be required to take time off for.
Dr's, therapy, pediatric and general household chores.
My stress levels went way down.
    Loved it.

If they did that, then EVERYONE would get a raise. When remote workers move to states with a lower cost of living, Employers will adjust that salary down.

I would love to have Friday's off with the same salary of course. Would be nice to have an extra day of rest and spend time with family.
Right now I work 40 hours one week and 40 hours the next week. That's 80 hours every two weeks. That's a lot! I live in the office!!

Technology enables higher rates of productivity. Documents are written faster, and data is sorted and calculated faster. Communication is cheap and instantaneous. The benefits of efficient technology should roll to labor, not just line the pockets of the ownership class.

Used to work 3 12s for years. I am blue collar. 32 hrs is stupid. Let’s do 4 10s. You don’t need a smaller work week with kids. You can work opposite shifts so no one has to watch your kids.

Returning to the office a few times a week actually a healthy divide between work and home. Continuous remote socially unhealthy (John Byrne a great comic artist lol). Does sound like a way to avoid paying overtime.

I was just let go from a company that temporarily let me work a 4-day work schedule instead of 5. One of the best decisions I ever made.
The stress of work went down and unwinding became much easier. Now that I am being let go, I seek aggressively to find work like this again and I have found oftentimes that is what tech sales is about if you hit your monthly quotas fast enough every month. You can take more time off by grinding it out for a few extra days for longer than normal hours just to get deals done.
I have a guy I'm talking to who takes about half of the month off on average to play in the Florida Keys and he works remotely. I seek the same opportunity even if I hated sales interactions initially. The upside is much much better plus the amount you get paid to boot.

An opportunity for employers to pay their employees less. How about 4, 10 hour days INSTEAD? 40 hours. Food and housing are too expensive to get payed 32 hours a week.

Requiring companies to pay overtime starting at 32 hours means you will make less in general
Most companies won't work you over 32 hours if they know they will have to pay overtime
