    Great help, Had my T4 15 years and doing door roller job and could not see if old roller went back or forward to remove, this was a great help mate. Yeah grease idea bad! its operating in an area collecting crap and would shorter life as the rubbish particles stick and foul new roller. Thanks again for good old TH-cam.

    Thank you this was so useful!! My entire door has come off today and no mechanics about so I'll be attempting this as soon as the part comes

      No problem. It’s as easy as it looks!

    I just did this job on a mates van, managed to get the new roller in from the front of the rail so there was no need to remove the step or the stopper.

      How did you put the bottom roller in without moving the stop or step?

      Simply undo the roller and move it as far forward (towards front of van) as it will go. It will release from the rail. Pay attention to how it comes out and you will have no trouble fitting the replacement.

      @DERBYSAM No worries. I just replaced the bottom roller, on the same van for the same person, a few weeks ago. This time it took about 2 minutes.
      Glad to hear it saved you some time.

    Glad it went nicely. I just did the same but now my door is much stiffer.. and clicks loudly as the door swings out and starts to go back.

      I fell into the trap of assuming there would only be one design - lesson learned!

    Nice job and very well explained and filmed/edited.
    Quick question, why is it that there is meant to be no grease in there ?

    • @JoelsStuff
      @JoelsStuff  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you! I’m not sure why not, but I know they came from the factory with no grease, so they are designed to just roll freely. Mine is still working perfectly fine and I haven’t used any grease. Good luck!

      I imagine dirt would stick in the grease and turn into a cutting paste wearing the parts out prematurely

      Hi Steve. If you search ebay for “zzdr29” there are a couple listed for £10. Joel
