    Thank you very much for the video. How do you varnish only this area without sanding the whole floor? I have teak flooring and it has water damages. Thank you in advance.

      Hi. Thanks.
      Use restoration varnish for local repairs. Varnish in aerosol, applied in a thin layer. Pick up the shine under your surface

    Can you say what damages these floors? Is that surface damage when it’s darkened like that at the edges? We have something similar and wondered if it was a slab leak because it shows only at the joints and not in the wood itself.

      @@TheRestorer yeah, but is there a way to tell if the water damage is from above or below?

      The floor in video is not genuine hardwood floor but of cheapest lightwood similar to factory product moving pallets. Also the black color filler that resemble mould is charcoal powder. Still the hot wax filler is the only genuine work which the producer is master of, if you can learn that, get the Color of your wood floor. Still it won’t be easy to grind real hardwood floor the the producer.

    I wish these steps were explained or at least the products used were mentioned. Is that general wood putty or ..? What grade of sandpaper is used ..?

    Hello. I've watched a few of your videos and they are very helpful. We bought a home and didnt realize until it was too late that the fridge was leaking. We boight a new fridge but there is water damage (darkened area) on the laminate floor. Is there any way to fix this without getting new floor laid? I can send pics if you need them in order to answer my question. Thanks so much.

    Hi brother, i stayed in a rented unit. I accidentally spilled water on the wooden floor. It is super dark at the edges. My home contract is ending soon and I am worried and sleepless. How can i reach you to share the photo and seek advise? Appreciate if you could reply to me.

    • @TheRestorer
      @TheRestorer  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Black rot should be removed, the holes should be puttyed (with wax or putty), sanded, the structure of the wood retouched with a bone and varnished with a transparent varnish in an aerosol. The restoration is done!

    Hello, I was wondering if it’s possible to refinish and fix a larger area such as a kitchen. I have pictures of a hardwood floor but I’m not 100% sure if the damage can be fixed.
