Her mother did her a disservice. It's obvious when the lady said she didn't "fit in" that she grew up in a white community. I also think that her mother never told her about her biracial makeup, so that just made her more confused growing up.
Sadly, I don't think there was much her mother could do back in those days. Her mother could find her dad and give her to her dad or she could be disowned by her family trying to be with a black man and not be accepted as a white woman in a black community anyway... it's like one side has to give up kind of thing.

It is the best case or one of two best cases where are the man loved the child or children whether he was their biological father or not.
This is one of my best friends in the world. I know 1st hand how this has effected her life. I wish things had turned out the way she wanted. I thank God she's a strong woman and won't let this hold her down. Love you Gina ❤️❤️
