Brian Shaw's strength is obvious. But, what I love about Brian is he's so anxious and open to learn a new sport. He takes every piece of advice to heart bc he doesn't know what he's doing. His ability to remove any ego from it and just learn is what makes him so great.
He's incredibly humble. I would have such a huge who if I just did like 5% of what he's accomplished. He's humble, very smart, and gives things his all. He's not half-assing this, which means he'll likely be at the top before too long. We're not talking about someone that just decided to start arm wrestling. Turned out he's in the top 3% of numbers nerds. he had no idea. & some how after a couple of years he was pretty much at the point where he would have been if he would have known all his life. not to bloat something that shouldn't be praised because its just a basic human instinct even tho he made a video on it. brian literally tore a car door off to save somebody sure i couldn't do that, but this guy has trained core strength for years, these guys train forearms and wrists for a sport, im super excited for brian, i've only been following WSM for like 2-3 yrs, i don't watch any other sports anymore. this is the real deal, eddie is fun to watch sure he did the deadlift and almost died doing it, but now a days i don't think he totally takes things seriously brians still after it, just in a different way to be healthier.
This whole thing is bringing more fans into the arm wrestling world. I started watching arm wrestling because of Devon Larrett. If Brian Shaw stays in the sport, I’ll keep watching arm wrestling. It just makes the whole thing way more interesting.

Yeah, but thats more of a correlation for strength sports and not really arm wrestling. There are so many weaker arm wrestlers in things and lifts like that who beat stronger powerlifters and strong men. It's a complex sport that takes a certain kind of strength and technique. It's very much about technique, which is how you see much weaker arm wrestlers beat people much stronger than them.

Not a chance, yet- imagine your physical attributes as your base stats, let's say someone like Matt Mask has 6 points in physical attributes, schoolboy probably a 7-8, Brian is a clear 10- Now, table experience is a multiplier for those physical attributes, on a scale of 1-10, Mask is probably a solid 8 for table experience, hence 48 points, Schoolboy is more of a 5 for experience, 35-40 points, at the current state, Brian is probably at 2, so he would be smashed by those guys, but his potential, is being way stronger than them by the time he reaches a similar level of experience.

Guys, armwrestling is a tendon sport. Unless u don't have years of practice in specific armwrestling movements, muscle power alone won't be enough. Brian is unimaginably strong and with a bit of armwrestling practice he can easily beat top level athletes from lower categories. But, to put him up against Levan is a complete mismatch. Levan has everything Brian has strength wise, plus years of armwrestling experience. That is a major advantage.

What do you mean? I don't think people are forgetting. That's not really the point here. There are guys who can take twice as much as Levan but would get rag dolled by Brian. All the arm wrestlers likely take very similar things.
He did not say the exakt same thing about Larry, not even close. But Larry could have become very good at the sport had he focused 100% at it. Even with low focus at it he won tournaments. Devon said that he believed that Larry could become a champion because he thought that he would focus harder on armwrestling than he actually ended up doing. But he never said that Larry would break people because of his strength (as far as i can remember) and he never compared him to Levan. I think that Brian can get to Larry's level in less time than it took Larry to reach that level, due to his 100% focus on one sport mentality and not settle for anything but to be the best. Larry does not have that.
I'd love to see Brian reach the top but it aint gonna happen. If he'd started 10 years ago and was fighting for his life in the gym and on the table then yes.

@@PrinceaikinMayor It does matter since Brian most likely has longer arms than Levan and that will make it harder for Levan to toproll Brian, and toproll is Levan's thing. There is also the fact that since Brian is bigger than Levan, he has more mass to use to his advantage than Levan has.

What do you mean? I don't think people are forgetting. That's not really the point here. There are guys who can take twice as much as Levan but would get rag dolled by Brian. All the arm wrestlers likely take very similar things.

He did not say the exakt same thing about Larry, not even close. But Larry could have become very good at the sport had he focused 100% at it. Even with low focus at it he won tournaments. Devon said that he believed that Larry could become a champion because he thought that he would focus harder on armwrestling than he actually ended up doing. But he never said that Larry would break people because of his strength (as far as i can remember) and he never compared him to Levan. I think that Brian can get to Larry's level in less time than it took Larry to reach that level, due to his 100% focus on one sport mentality and not settle for anything but to be the best. Larry does not have that.
