My boy passed a little over a year ago and I am still struggling. I’m Stuck between missing having a big ball of fuzzy goofiness running around in our lives again but same time, I’m not sure I can put myself through this again. Had dogs my entire life, none effected me like my GS. Old souls, they get it.

GSD is the most Cute, Friendly, Badass, Scary, Cosy, smartest, loyal, friend did you can own. It’s basically my life goal to be lucky enough to have a gsd by my side. And since I was 10 y/o I have basically asked my family over a million times. And now I’m 17 and my family had finally agreed. I have waitet now 5 weeks for the puppy I found, with great genes. And I wil finally pick it up next weekend. Btw I can’t wait, these weeks waiting felt like a year, I have 1 week left so it will basically feel like 3 months
Kayla Mukahadzi yessirrr, he is pretty easy, food, sleep, driving around. But he struggles to learn not to bite when mad. And he generally always have EXTREME amounts of energy. But everyday we get better and better controlling the dog. He is a working line gsd. So lots of aggression and energy. He is very very stubborn. But he’s getting better. But I can say it’s a lot of work. Maybe not for all gsd, seems like I got a bit more dominant one. But he knows his place now, and listens. Best thing I know is coming home to my dog after school or work. They really like to show you how much they love you.

We really wanted a working line since they usually don’t have the slopped back and doesn’t get hip problems as easily as showline. And we wanted something that would protect our house very well and physically active for long training outdoors. Working lines can be more easier or harder depending of what work they are breed for. My is more of a farm and west German border protection dog. So mine is a more dominant and aggressive to people if not trained to be friendly on command. That’s great because family and friends are welcome but strangers are being watch closely by the dog. But since they are more dominant you REALLY have to show who’s boss at a early time. Mine started to show a lot of dominance at 10 weeks. And it’s hard. It’s almost like arguing with the dog. But also mine is a male. But some like police or training dogs are more the type to listen more. But if you want both you want a good kennel and you should ask them for help if what type you want.

Max brings me back to my beautiful long haired GS roxie. They are the very best breed not only beautiful, but gentle,loving and very intelligent. I swear she could read my mind b4 i would ask her if she wanted to go for a walk, ride, Gramm's I'd get that look and head tilt then bolts of excitement when i asked what do want to do. Lol Best 14yrs of my life because she was in it. I was blessed bc of her. Rest in peace angel face 🐾

One point...……… don't let him lie down on tile, hot top, anything hard because it causes pressure on their bones and joints and they end up getting arthritis before their time. Also it gives them ugly callouses on their elbows. Beautiful dog.

@@shroomer7284 Hi, Dogs do prefer to lie on tile floor because it is cooler. I don't know what kind of flooring your cousin has in the dogs room. Maybe you should try to teach your dog to lie down on his bed. It is always best to let the dog lie down on his dog bed or if your cousin has wall to wall carpeting in the dogs room that is okay. Tile flooring, concrete flooring and hardwood flooring is not good for the dog to sleep on. Hard surfaces are pressure on the dogs bones and joints, plus they get callouses on their elbows which is not to pretty. I hope you or your cousin can work something out for your dog because softness would be better for him. Have a good night.

My dog harley who was a Yorkshire terrier passed away not to long ago and My mom said the next dog I get can be a GSD I miss my harley barley but I can't wait to get my Bailey boo!
