Gotta love the different dynamic between Roffle and Lt Eddy. Maybe its the challenge but Eddy vids have been memes whereas Roffles been full tryhard, plus with a bit of that Reynad sass.

It's interesting to see the approach of a Wild player and content creator on off meta decks to this format: the first thing that came to Roffle's mind was boar priest because it's been somewhat relevant in wild, dinomancer combo because it's a popular deck idea for content creators and deathrattle rogue because it was a massive powerhouse in wild for a bit AND it's one of the signature decks of another wild streamer, Dane
The way he built the decks also shows a bit of his personality, he optimized them as much as possible for their intended win condition, which is what you need to do on the Wild ladder if you want to have the slightest chance to win against real meta decks, but in doing so he didn't think about the format in question and what could be uniquely good in it like the raptors or some sort of anti fatigue plan
I am always here for the Roffle content, he‘s just the perfect straight man to play off of Rarran.

Sounds like Rarran doesn't know how Taunt + Immune works (or rather doesn't work).
the jalier deck has that unit that takes damage fpr the hero instead, making the hero immune
also with tony to swap deck

@@fernando4959 Bolf/Mal'ganis don't work anymore. The Jailer doesn't make all minions immune, only himself. Swapping decks would, though.
I didn't realize that they nerfed Dreadsteed. I immediately thought of that one, but I guess it doesn't work anymore :(

My friend made a very similar gamemode to this back in the day because he hated how fast the game was. The only difference was that nobody could attack until a player burned a card

If the rule for this format is "As long as your opponent has a minion, you can not target their hero with minions or spells" stealth minions sound pretty OP.
Considering how they used the word taunt, you's imagine this interacts with stealth the same way taunt does (stealth deactivates taunt until it's gone).
Just two good looking and funny guys playing entertaining hearthstone games. What else can you ask for.

About 2 minutes into the video i was wondering why neither was aiming to abuse Dreadsteed.
Then i found out it was changed to end of turn respawning to avoid infinite loops with Defile.
I hope next time roffle joins for a challenge he brings the 3 meta decks for the current expansion just for revenge for that quest rogue and odd paladin game

Oh damn Dane would have been perfect for this challenge. I can't even imagine what kind of ideas his twisted mind would come up with, but he'd probably whip up 3 insane hostage\mindfuck decks.

The Quest Rogue and Odd Paladin game was kind of a miss for me. I am glad Roffle brought 3 interesting deck and kept the video interesting. The Hunter deck was good too. I just feel like the challenge should be interesting deck idea and not just meta deck that technically follow the rules.
Wondering how Blood DK would do in this with Mograine. This idea has great potential especially if you add counters like silence so you need to think multiple wincon angles and counters through. We could end up with stuff like Velen + Mind Blast even.

What if you mixed it up since your playing with people you know.. add the MTG attacker/blocker phase so they could decide whether or not to block with minions. Similar idea but forces you to have answers to minions they dont want to block with like Brann

Spell taunt would actually be a interesting mechanic
imo kinda weird if it's an actual mechanic, since spells already usually targets minions
though it would be fun if the spell taunt affects randomly targeted spells like arcane missile
or even weird if it also affects buff spells
