    How does the Top Fuel compare to the YT Izzo that you tested a couple years ago?

  • @dhrracer

    Talking inserts will we see a return to tubular rims and tires with some form of independent inflatable insert in the tire. Gluing tires is a pain, but if we want grip and to eliminate the issues with the rim sidewalls.

      Many DH teams already glue tires to rims with roofing tar

      Lol dude that sounds horrendous to work on. Working in a shop I never wanted anything to do with tubulars, glad they were more or less before my time. Maybe for dh racing it makes sense, but as a normal trail and bike park rider I’m very happy with our current standard tubeless gear

    Why don't we have short travel bikes with 64 degree hta and 77+ degree sta? I want the firmest platform for smashing big ele rides but without lugging around more bike than I need for the down. (RM Element rider, great geo, on 4th warranty frame)

      4th frame! Jesus. What’s happened with the first 3?

      @@badfishgood well my guess, he misunderstood the intended use of his bike. That should have been clear after the second frame.

    14 minutes in. They are about done talking about the appearance of Frameworks bike and back to some Geometry. To be honest about the appearance. It does look like an older bike probably from the mid to later 2000's. It does actually look a lot like a Kona. It does not look like a modern bike. It probably could, but the way that it is, it doesn't. The funny part about that, you might not even have to change any mechanical components on it. Paint does a lot. Modern Paint. Because paint has trends too. It is also a mullet. Which is new. The Geometry is also new.
    This is my mentality of that bike, which gives the guy at Frameworks some credit for what he has created. Hydroforming has a definite effect on the appearance of a bike. If your a small shop making this stuff on your own, it would cost more to have tubes hydroformed?

    • @MrPomax
      @MrPomax หลายเดือนก่อน

      Tooling costs for hydroforming are at least 3000€ per tube and higher. Which makes no sense when you sell 100 bikes or less. You get round tubes, which do the same job, for a few dollars.
