henryhvideofan, Thanks,Merci y Muchas gracias de compartir este buen video. El mar, el barco casas todo es bonito Saludo y muchas suerte a toda la gente de este pueblo tan bonito.
My grat granny was from Cadgwith...JANE family lived on the todden Lizard people are unique...articulate friendly clever and at times a bit crazy....the men as seamen are 2nd to none...nice clip
Excellent clip, nice little fishing boats. Its a pity fishing didn't stay like this instead of these massive super trawlers pulling everything up and making fish etc scarce
Do they do this every day, or is this because a storm is coming? I'd imagine it must take a bit of work to put them back in the water, unless the tide comes up that high.
not sure if it will play in US ... search The Fisherman`s Apprentice as that is set in Cadgwith & i know most of them or been to sea with a large number
Fantastic memories of a couple of Cadgwith fishermen mates who were taken by the sea .. Always in my heart....
Lovely images Henry a beautiful part of the world, really enjoyed that regards from Ireland!
Thanks Henry, it bought back great memories of 17 years of happy holidays there.

Excellant piece. Illustrating a function that has been done this way for hundreds of years . . .albeit with horses then and not a donkey engine.
That cove is a hive of activity.
awesome
Just wondering if there were or still are small boat rides out of this cove. Was in cornwall in 1970 on a school journey and remember this fondly!!
Yes there are ☺️

what would you say the length of that boat is? 25 feet?

every morning they all help each other get the boats out, and same for getting them back in in the eve - tis some work
When did they start using the tractor instead of the winch?
tractor used to push the boats off ... winch still used to retrieve
speak as an ex cove fisherman
Thanks for the reply to my question. I live in the US but am oddly obsessed with Cadgwith and very much hope to get there to see it in person someday.
i was there when it was man power not tractor to launch the boats , yes the 80`s ... 1980`s if want more on boat shown search nutty noah & see more
I have seen a few videos with Martin in them and have checked out his artwork as well. Seems like quite a character!
