Subcarpati has undergound music combined with flolklore songs. ( music/ songs very very well known, that our grandparents used to party on 😅 that we would never actually play) But they found and amazing way of combining these so different genres and for us Romanians where ever you are on this world it gives you the goosebumps and it makes you feel like you are back home for those 5 mins while you are listening to it. They are geniuses and very well respected:)

Yo you should check out Suie Paparude, it's one of Bean's (Subcarpati) projects . "Nu te mai saturi de noi" (You can't get enough of us) is a great start. It's one of the (if not the) best Romanian hype tracks ever. Also Bean's "Jumatate tu, jumatate nu" (Half you, half none) - this one's a bit heavier, great stuff from the early 2000s. Another gem is Subcarpati - Rau necesar (Necessary evil/ harm) I can drop an accurate translation for the tracks if you wanna get into them, the man's got legit bars.

Subcarpati lead rapper/singer is actually not that old:)) Subcarpati adopted a more like folklore-hip hop style, reinvented the whole rap/hip hop stage and also brought attention to old traditional folkore songs and instruments etc. Therefore the main rapper, MC Bean is his stage name, adopted this hippie/folklore inspired look on himself as well, but he's not that old actually, I think he's around 40 or something. BUG Mafia are even older as age but they keep their youngster/baggie hip hop style so yeah:))
SUBCAPARTII is an underground hip-hop band. They are kind of unique as they get their inspiration from the Romanian folklore and traditional music. Their beats are also a mix of traditional (as the guy with the flute) and modern hip-hop beats. They are SICK indeed !!! They are TRUE !!! I have discovered them not so long ago and I feel they are not for every public. I think I started to like them when I reached a mature enough taste for hip-hop and music in general. Their audiences are very different from others and especially comparing to the majority of the trash you find on TV and especially on the Romanian TH-cam Trending. ALL THE BEST !

Its something unique and it sounds damn good. Deliric is part of the CTC band, one of the best underground hip-hop bands in Romania and their beats are always sick and sending a message. One of my favourites for sure

Wow, it only took 6 episodes to actually start listening to real romanian music 😂 Subcarpati is in a league of their own, they combine traditional romanian music, called "Folclor", music tens or hundreds of years old, sang by shepherds or village women with traditional instruments, with modern electrical instruments and rap vibes. Its something unique and it sounds damn good. Deliric is part of the CTC band, one of the best underground hip-hop bands in Romania and their beats are always sick and sending a message. One of my favourites for sure

But I find it really interesting that you assume BUG and Subcarpati are a single person :)) is that the case with most artists in UK? They are entire bands. Some of our romanian raper's are on the highest lvl...the only bad thing is you guys can't apreciate the genius of the lyrics also. They are at Mod Def, Inmortal technique - level.

I don't know if can the possibly understand the way we feel seeing you react to the music and it's unbelievable especially since you don't even understand the words which makes about 80% of the songs. You tried BUG Mafia, now you need to try some Parazitii as well. These are the 2 best rap bands and the ones that set the foundation of Romanian rap. Also rivals since like forever.
