Dude ripping my head of . I am a unity user and while working in urp they use physically based fall of for lights which is good in specific areas but really off for games immersion sometimes, and I can't easily change light fall of there and no settings is exposed in unity which kinda sucks. I use unreal for level design and it was just awesome how unreal keep every option exposed so that user make a style of it. Cool.
I'm new to unreal and made a flashlight that's actually a headlamp. I attached the spotlight to the head socket but the actual light source starts off a few feet in front of the character. When I pull the light backwards it starts to cast the meshes shadow. What would be a good work around.
Sometimes you can make the head lamp mesh not receive shadows , also lights can pass through the back sides of polygons. My suggestion is to just place it as close as you can to the surface without without it clipping.
These short, to the point, clear tutorials are a godsent. Keep up the phenomenal work.
Glad you like them!
