I personally feel at the moment that camo grinding isn't worth it until they fix the visual bug where everyone appears as rank 1, default calling card, nothing in the showcase, etc. Not to mention a new sniper rifle is coming late this season and we're more than likely getting a Renetti/Diamati burst pistol so you'll save days getting headshots with the LR762 and GS45 that are essentially grenade launchers when packed. As for multiplayer, you missed the mark on why people hate grinding headshots this year from a statistical POV. Headshot multipliers this year are low enough to barely make a difference, so going for headshots almost isn't worth it outside of weapons like the Tsarkov. Not to mention the CHF barrel not being good at its job and omni movement playing a role in making headshots harder. This isn't no MW2 or BO2 grind. XclusiveAce made a video on this topic.
My suggestion as someone who has done both pretty fast it to do both. Lobbies got too tough on mp? Advance on the nebula grind. Zombies is feeling like a punching bag after 10000 punches? Hop on mp

You have a whole year of this game, you might as well go for both. There’s no way you can go through the whole lifespan of this game only playing one game mode you’re most likely gonna get bored of one
Technically not always true I’ve always just played multiplayer I can’t stand warzone and I wish they’d ax it cause game modes like that ruin the game imo bo6 is the first game I’ve played a lot since B02 I tried plunder in the newer modern warfare but didn’t like it
I’ve gotta be honest I’ve got way more than one year. I played Black Ops 3 for 5 years and I’ll probably do the same for this one. Hate getting conned into buying a new cod every year just because they tell us we’re supposed to.
Hey! Just wanted to add in to the part at around 10:00. There is *one* way you can naturally get the ammo mods without unlocking them via level/armory. When you complete the EE of the map on Standard, it'll reward you with a bunch of aether tools and ammo mods you can attach to your guns. Obviously, leveling up and buying the guns would be way more efficient lol, but just wanted to throw that in. :)
This video was such a Blast ❤ I ONLY played zombies since day 1 and just Unlocked Nebula Last week, unlocked it for all 33 weapons tonight !! Being a few levels from Prestige master, I will be playing Multiplayer and Grinding Dark Matter without having to re-unlock competitive weapons/perks/equipment... Really enjoying the grind, especially without useless glitches that people seem to forget removes the fun part ! Enjoying the game 🤓
I’m new to cod and did dark matter in about 2 weeks and and it felt like a tutorial to learn a bit of what cod is, forced to use all the weapons, some attachments and lear how to quickly make killstreaks and how to stay alive like man I used to rush and trade or just die and now that I’m over I just feel better at the game the only downside is that now that I now that the camo grind was a thing, I would started with nebula first just to show off it in the multiplayer while doing dark matter haha
The BO4 dark matter was peak for sure because of how it progressed with every 5 kills. I will say that I don’t mind the camo grind in BO6 and thought MW3 was good last year. I’m just stoked we don’t have to do longshots, mounted kills, or “behind cover” garbage. Also SBMM is so frustrating on this … apparently it’s supposed to consider your recent performance. I’m a top 1% player and it still put me in sweaty lobbies despite going .5 kd for 30 games straight with the rocket launchers etc. Devs are so dumb
Nebula looks amazing and for me it was worth it, the grind is easier and more relaxing compared to the extreme SBMM you have to go through to get Dark Matter
12:07 No more Sweats to deal with on Zombies but now im dealing with the horrible Lag now which has cost me numerous gobblegums cause its kicked me out during Zombies
For me I’m still doing Dark Matter camo grind and I’m an average COD player and yes I’m taking my time! Right now I’m up to the SMGs unlocking gold & diamond camos! [Gold & Diamond: 25/33] And I swap for the launched dedicated melee weapons that are hard for me due to SBMM from Knife melee weapon to Saug SMG and Baseball bat melee weapon to Krig C Assault Rifle! And beside I’m just a lone wolf MP solo player who doesn’t team up with other players to help me with my camo grind! Some will argue and say I suck! But I don’t care! I do me! 😆
I chose nebula so I could avoid the SBMM frustration & plus I think nebula looks way better I’m sick of dark matter. The grind was insanely long but I’m happy with the camo for sure 😅
got nebula in like a month and never watched anything during it but to be fair i was on adderall for the first 2/3 of the grind, also def recommend doing opal right after u get all of your golds on a category because i did that for every category minus smgs and ars and my god it took so much longer than how i normally did it of getting opal as soon as it was an option
I got dark matter unlocked bout 3 weeks ago and I gotta say it was a relief and my first ever mastery camo, grinding nebula is gonna be boring but will be worth it
nebula is way better for 2 reasons, 1. you get to play zombies instead of mp which is god awful, 2. you can just vibe and watch stuff while you do it (bonus reason, it looks way better than dark matter)
Unlocked Nebula. Might try for Dark Matter Next. During the grind it seems like a waste of time. But in the end when you have it, it’s very satisfying.
It be cool that once you fully unlock all mastery camos on 33 weapons you can get the option to unlock another mastery camo in another mode for example unlock Dark matter and Abyss in zombies
People complaining about how "mind numbing" it is forget that these are not meant to be grinded in one month, but over the course of the games life cycle. It's crazy how people put themselves in these situations and complain about it
A mastery camo i wanna see is like the witcher 3 (one of the ending scenes) where its all white and snowy and super windy. Doesnt even need ice tracers. Just super white full coverage with maybe some dashes of blue or go all white with a windy snowy effect or something, doesnt even need ice tracers tho thatd be a sick mastery camo, first to have tracers.
No. The issue people are having with 100 headshots for all bullet weapons is that the game doesn’t reward you for headshots. They just patched it so full auto weapons actually have a noticeable headshot multiplier so that’s cool. Not to mention snipers and shotguns have historically been OSOK challenges. Now they are headshots too. Combine all that with how much people are sliding and diving every corner is why people are complaining about it. It’s just inconsistent as hell for the average person. Especially the 1-2 hours of free time after working a 9-5 job.
I got tired of just sitting in one spot in directed mode to get the opal camos. So i just went into normal mode and turned on rampage inducer till round 40. Atleast that way theres a thrill and challenge
i unlocked nebula a while ago & just now started dark matter, got ARs diamond & halfway done with smgs & i have to say, dark matter makes nebula seem excruciating
Just a little advice if you are attempting to get Dark Matter: Focus on your headshots and not your match itself, let me explain, don't play the objectives, don't play TDM or Kill confirmed, just focus on your headshots. I know that even if you try to focus on that thing, you still have to deal with the rank 1st, but even with that, it will essentially make it a least bareable. That's what I've been doing and it has being a blast, sure, I get very frustrated, but if you put me this 100 headshots instead of doing longshots with a fucking shotgun (I am looking at you BO2), then yeah, I pretty much prefer this over the latter. This time around camos are way easier to complete than previous CODs, like trust me, you don't want to try to unlock camos with 0 attachments or more than 100 headshots with pistols, etc.
Don't know if it will help if at all, but that is the way I am doing this and it has worked so far, it makes everything not that heavy and in a way, I can turn off my brain and just try to aim to the head, and once you unlock the 100 headshots, those challenges are easy as hell and you can use previous unlocked camos to your current gun, like, you liked one camo you've unlocked with a SMG and you try to use the same camo to an AR, well, you can! That is pretty cool, but you can do it once you get the 100.
I got nebula within 3 weeks of the game coming out and I will say I’m not doing the multiplayer grind. It took me like 20 games to get ONE smg gold. I’m a zombies player for sure 😅 I will say the Cold War grind took me twice as long as the bo6 grind, but that’s probably because I’ve gotten a lot better at modern zombies.
Réactivity is what made them good this time, but warzone mastery camo is great , just stupidly hard since some camo's challenges don't depend on you or your skill
I am doing the Zombie grind currently, because I have been enjoying it more than the multiplayer, but, mostly, because it's more consistent. I know that when I hop into a zombies game I am going to consistently get XP, so I am going to make progress on the challenges, and I will make progress on levelling up my guns, and my character, since some of the prestige rewards are definitely cool The hardest part of it, is as you said, it's boring I am also not sure how I am possibly going to complete the shotguns headshots. They are rough But I am planning on stopping at the Afterlife Camo, I personally think that the colour is soooooo pretty, and I loooooove the spinning glyphs. The nebula camo is really neat, but it's just not my thing. If Dark Matter was more purple I would probably be more interested in it, but of the mastery camos of all the modes the one that caught my eye was the Afterlife camo. It's just.... so pretty lol
I unlocked nebula for every single weapon except that god awful new shotgun and the drill. I unfortunately forgot that Spotify was a thing on Xbox so I did almost half the grind with no music or tv. Even after I remembered I just decided “screw it” and got on pc so I could watch a show on the other monitor. The headshots were tedious and the 30 special kills really sucked but the worst part for me was the headshot grind after 1000 headshots. It felt like even though I was making progress, it just seemed to go so much slower since there were much larger gaps between unlocking camos. You REALLY feel like it’s never going to end when the game stops giving you camos after every 100 or 200 kills. Don’t get me wrong. I love the camo and I’m really glad to have finally gotten my first mastery camo but I just can’t be bothered to do it again for MP. And ESPECIALLY warzone.
I like them both, but I decided to go for Nebula. It took a long time, a little longer than Dark Matter takes I think, and I have no regrets. It’s a beautiful camo. Mind numbing was the challenge itself, but it’s Christmas, so I’ve just had all the best specials and movies on repeat in the background 😂
The best camo is nebula if they brought back camos to the way they were in bo4 then we possibly could have had a better dark matter. By far the worst out of the three is the abyss camo i do not know what they were thinking making that mastery camo. The catalyst camo looks better than abyss. I was gonna go for the camo until i saw how ugly it is since im going to use nebula on most of my guns and dark matter on some. At the end if the day nebula is a better camo and works perfectly with the attachments as well
Took me 101hrs to complete DARK MATTER and its been more than 3 weeks since I launched COD, feels like I was stuck in an infinite loop and im finally free of it lol, its DEFINITELY not worth it at the end!
Getting Nebula on every weapon currently in the game got me to prestige 9 in the game (that’s with spamming x2 xp tokens and playing on x2 xp weekends). It’s a beautiful camo but fuck me man, it’s so long. I love it though because it looks like a pack-a-punch camo.
While directed mode is great for casual players, standard is WAY faster to unlock camos. You are right though it does give the option for a really easy camo grind
Hear me out, since so many ppl want to use dark matter, but also want a new unique camo, what if they just made dark matter the 3rd camo and the 4th is totally new?
Forget abyss lol. I just finished nebula and got dark matter in the first week. Won’t be doing abyss though But totally agree. Nebula takes forever. The 30 manglers per gun stage was BRUTAL and took me 4+ days. Nebula took me like 4 hours for every gun on liberty falls directed
I'm enjoying the nebula grind at the moment. I have launchers, melee and shotguns opal and have most of the assault rifles opal while working on gold SMG's. It is boring but I stick youtube on and the grind is quite relaxing, definitely agree though don't leave opal to do on every weapon at once!
as i’m watching this i have 25 guns done in multiplayer, 25 gold 23 diamond. last primary category is snipers and i’ve done 2 of them and i need 5 more long shots on the 762 i’ll be done with primaries. then i’ll finish the pistols, knife and drill and the last gun i’ll have to do is the krig, wish me luck and im prestige 3 level 55
Dark matter looks sick af what you mean lol ? .... I get saying it got boring after getting it in so many games but i don't think it takes away the fact that it looks extremely good
@@chumchum9899 nah u can still do it go to directed mode wait til round 11, if a mangler dont spawn at the beginning dashboard the game and go back it will have saved the game go in and a mangler should spawn and spawn every round. if it dont do same thing dashboard and go back until it works. still works for me
I personally do directed mode and go to round 11 on liberty falls and then go to the rooftop of the bank and wait until a mangler spawns in at the beginning of every round. That to me was the fastest, if vermin spawn in on round 11 then save and quit and go back in until you get a round where only zombies and the mangler spawns in.
Yes they both are!!! I have them all in dark matter, 8 in Nebula so far. I prefer Nebula BUT its easier to get with directors mode. Dark matter is harder to get imo so is the one with much higher bragging rights. 🙂👍
I’m honestly not gonna lie the headshots wouldn’t be too horrible if there wasn’t idle sway, horrible flinch, and a complicated combination of grips and handles and stuff to “attempt to help” with recoil. And I started off with the snipers first and got them done on MnK each one taking 4 like 2-3 hours. It should’ve just been 1 shot 1 kills tbh. It also doesn’t make sense when I’m dumping 5 headshots with the gpr1 to just die. Edit: I have 1 monitor and I had to split screen it and shrink bo6 to grind the headshots. I think 2000 was way too much I think 1500 was enough and maybe 1250 would’ve been perfect. Especially if we had to get another 300 kills after for some of the special challenges and then another 150 for mystic gold
If I buy this COD I will prob stick with it for a couple years, maybe even through college. I don’t feel like investing anymore into Activision. I’ll buy the sequel to Cold War though.

You have a whole year of this game, you might as well go for both. There’s no way you can go through the whole lifespan of this game only playing one game mode you’re most likely gonna get bored of one
This is such a rational and realistic response, as a member of the call of duty community I must send you unwarranted hate for no reason 😡😡😡😡
Technically not always true I’ve always just played multiplayer I can’t stand warzone and I wish they’d ax it cause game modes like that ruin the game imo bo6 is the first game I’ve played a lot since B02 I tried plunder in the newer modern warfare but didn’t like it
It’s actually quite easy to only play one mode for the game’s lifespan, for me I’ll never touch zombies because it’s boring as hell in my opinion
I’ve gotta be honest I’ve got way more than one year. I played Black Ops 3 for 5 years and I’ll probably do the same for this one. Hate getting conned into buying a new cod every year just because they tell us we’re supposed to.
@@jaydengeorge2693 we can all agree to that when nothing major changes
if you think about it, nothing can beat where the camo originally came from, gold from bo1, diamond from bo2, dark matter from bo3
Who’s here after unlocking dark matter and nebula and hitting master prestige ??
Got both and level 230. I really want abyss but I hate war zone lmfao
This video was such a Blast ❤
I ONLY played zombies since day 1 and just Unlocked Nebula Last week, unlocked it for all 33 weapons tonight !!
Bro you are already prestige master man you have so much free time
9:08 “do I say that every year, am I a parrot?, maybe” 🤣🤣 keeping it real
IMO, zombies mastery camos look better, I’m a huge zombies player since bo2 so in bo3 when they released zombies camos I’ve been grinding ever since
I’m new to cod and did dark matter in about 2 weeks and and it felt like a tutorial to learn a bit of what cod is, forced to use all the weapons, some attachments and lear how to quickly make killstreaks and how to stay alive like man I used to rush and trade or just die and now that I’m over I just feel better at the game the only downside is that now that I now that the camo grind was a thing, I would started with nebula first just to show off it in the multiplayer while doing dark matter haha
sbp videos got me through the nebula grind, we basically did it together.
I do me! 😆
Am 9 out 33 on gold am doing ars / snipers ( i cant aim so thats gonna take a while)
I chose nebula so I could avoid the SBMM frustration & plus I think nebula looks way better I’m sick of dark matter. The grind was insanely long but I’m happy with the camo for sure 😅
Skill issue, we get it kid. Multiplayer isn’t for everyone
The game is actively working against you, what are you talking about bro!!@@Jgrimzy
Multiplayer sucks anyways. Rooms prolly smell like shit with the amount of sweating that goes on.
Great Vid . I got Nebula on All 38 Weapons (fell asleep only 4 times lol) & now I’m starting Dark Spine trying to get Dark Matter
The nebula grind is so long, only got headshots left for smgs and one sniper, waiting for the barret.
1 year ago i got the interstellar camo thanks to you and now im gonna be unlocking the nebula camo
got nebula in like a month and never watched anything during it but to be fair i was on adderall for the first 2/3 of the grind, also def recommend doing opal right after u get all of your golds on a category because i did that for every category minus smgs and ars and my god it took so much longer than how i normally did it of getting opal as soon as it was an option
Finished dark matter last week… started nebula yesterday… is it worth the grind … I think so 👍👍👍
gg
I doubt you remember me but we used to do Easter eggs together back in bo3 and iw life cycle
I did a grind(not playing every single day) the entire month of november. It was SO boring but worth it. The nebula camo is awesome.
9:52 it’s actually so funny you said that because Suits is exactly what I’m watching while grinding nebula lmao
Almost done with dark matter but nebula looks so much better
Unlocked Nebula. Might try for Dark Matter Next. During the grind it seems like a waste of time. But in the end when you have it, it’s very satisfying.
Got both on 33 guns as well, Nebula was mind numbing
watching this while grinding nebula, glad i chose this over dm
Nebula is very very very mind numbing especially in directed. It is so easy to do opal while doing your other weapons on round 11 over and over
It be cool that once you fully unlock all mastery camos on 33 weapons you can get the option to unlock another mastery camo in another mode for example unlock Dark matter and Abyss in zombies
People complaining about how "mind numbing" it is forget that these are not meant to be grinded in one month, but over the course of the games life cycle. It's crazy how people put themselves in these situations and complain about it
In my opinion I’m a huge zombie fan and nerd and I feel like Nebula is easier but boring to do and it looks beautiful
unlocked nebula and couldn't be happier. worth it
A mastery camo i wanna see is like the witcher 3 (one of the ending scenes) where its all white and snowy and super windy. Doesnt even need ice tracers. Just super white full coverage with maybe some dashes of blue or go all white with a windy snowy effect or something, doesnt even need ice tracers tho thatd be a sick mastery camo, first to have tracers.
Listening to your vids while grinding neb
I finished 2 entire shows during my nebula grind
Abyss, LoL, I see you in my plunder games all the time farming the AFK drop❤
i unlocked nebula a while ago & just now started dark matter, got ARs diamond & halfway done with smgs & i have to say, dark matter makes nebula seem excruciating
Nebula was definitely worth it for me if you really want to get into the grind and just save on around 11 in directed mode
Agreed! Gotta come up with a new mastery camo
I literally only play cod for the grinds that they offer so when we get good camos then im happy for the year
Just a little advice if you are attempting to get Dark Matter: Focus on your headshots and not your match itself, let me explain, don't play the objectives, don't play TDM or Kill confirmed, just focus on your headshots.
Nebula originated as a revelations packapunch camo from blackops 3 it didn't start in 4 like you claim
I got nebula within 3 weeks of the game coming out and I will say I’m not doing the multiplayer grind. It took me like 20 games to get ONE smg gold. I’m a zombies player for sure 😅
I will say the Cold War grind took me twice as long as the bo6 grind, but that’s probably because I’ve gotten a lot better at modern zombies.
Réactivity is what made them good this time, but warzone mastery camo is great , just stupidly hard since some camo's challenges don't depend on you or your skill
I am doing the Zombie grind currently, because I have been enjoying it more than the multiplayer, but, mostly, because it's more consistent. I know that when I hop into a zombies game I am going to consistently get XP, so I am going to make progress on the challenges, and I will make progress on levelling up my guns, and my character, since some of the prestige rewards are definitely cool
The hardest part of it, is as you said, it's boring
I am also not sure how I am possibly going to complete the shotguns headshots. They are rough
But I am planning on stopping at the Afterlife Camo, I personally think that the colour is soooooo pretty, and I loooooove the spinning glyphs. The nebula camo is really neat, but it's just not my thing. If Dark Matter was more purple I would probably be more interested in it, but of the mastery camos of all the modes the one that caught my eye was the Afterlife camo. It's just.... so pretty lol
9:40 literally me grinding nebula and watching this
I unlocked nebula for every single weapon except that god awful new shotgun and the drill.
Mastery came grinds are always so nice for use lonely gamers
Getting Nebula on every weapon currently in the game got me to prestige 9 in the game (that’s with spamming x2 xp tokens and playing on x2 xp weekends). It’s a beautiful camo but fuck me man, it’s so long. I love it though because it looks like a pack-a-punch camo.
You forgot to mention directed mode! Directed mode is perfect for bad guns and for opal - nebula. Makes it 3 times faster for sure
While directed mode is great for casual players, standard is WAY faster to unlock camos. You are right though it does give the option for a really easy camo grind
They dont have the talent to make a better camo so they just make a slightly worse Dark matter each year. Next year they will make you pay for it.
I got both and Nebula clears
I'm getting dark matter and abyss
I keep MP around to break up my Nebula grind. I play one or two matches than get back to Zombies.
I have a question Tech, for diamond camo what is the best way to unlock it ? Because getting 3 kills 10 times without dying is annoying
Hear me out, since so many ppl want to use dark matter, but also want a new unique camo, what if they just made dark matter the 3rd camo and the 4th is totally new?
Forget abyss lol. I just finished nebula and got dark matter in the first week. Won’t be doing abyss though
But totally agree.
Anyone know what gun is being used at the start of this video ?
Those rocket changes are the reason I have DM 😭 got it yesterday
as i’m watching this i have 25 guns done in multiplayer, 25 gold 23 diamond. last primary category is snipers and i’ve done 2 of them and i need 5 more long shots on the 762 i’ll be done with primaries. then i’ll finish the pistols, knife and drill and the last gun i’ll have to do is the krig, wish me luck and im prestige 3 level 55
I just got both i think they're both a challenging enough grind without being ridiculous like some years past, just something to do while you play
i just finished dark matter and now i’m doing nebula and im trembling abyss
(I’m still watching the video) you upload this the moment I get nebula 😭😭
Edit: yayaya he loves nebula
I’ve unlocked both and yes, for me, they are worth grinding.
But I grind all the camos for every title.
Got dark matter while 24/7 hard-core stakeout was out. Haven't touched the game since lmao
Nothing can beat Damascus camo so S tier
Did Nebula. Don't care about dark matter, it blows. You're sniffing glue if you think its "A tier".
I did both. Nebula is def better but dark matter is S tier. I think ur coping because your not good enough in multiplayer.
Dark matter looks sick af what you mean lol ? .... I get saying it got boring after getting it in so many games but i don't think it takes away the fact that it looks extremely good
man i’ve been grinding nebula on and off since just after halloween and i only have 15 guns gold 😂😂
its worth all the time, its worth the headache, worth the tediousness
@@exot1c_dark066 no opals before the mangler spawn nerf is rough, good luck
@@chumchum9899 nah u can still do it go to directed mode wait til round 11, if a mangler dont spawn at the beginning dashboard the game and go back it will have saved the game go in and a mangler should spawn and spawn every round. if it dont do same thing dashboard and go back until it works. still works for me
Bro I’ve been grinding for a week and almost have it😭
@calebg2923 a mangler every minute and a half isn't as good as 16 manglers every 7 mins
Got nebula now time for a break til a new map comes out(yes I’ve done cdm ee already)
Just got Nebula on 6 weapons. After playing zombie forever I suck at MP. So I feel like a huge imposter hahaha
With the new update , which is the best way to do the Opal Camo ?
"Mind numbing" was the exact word I thought of as well lol. But it's over now🤧
If I buy this COD I will prob stick with it for a couple years, maybe even through college. I don’t feel like investing anymore into Activision. I’ll buy the sequel to Cold War though.
