- I have had my truck for a year now and was able to put quite a few miles on. Over the past year I have learned a lot and thought I would share what I have learned so anyone considering buying a Townace could make a more informed decision prior to purchasing one. If you have any questions, please comment them below!

i have a 1985 bongo 4x4 on the way, super excited.
Have any tips on where to look for one?
I have been thinking about the town ace for a work vehicle. What is your maxspeed on the hyway
Im looking to get one of these trucks I was looking at the Kei trucks but then did a little bit more studding and found the town ace and I really would rather enjoy a bigger jdm truck
What rims have you used?
Did I miss that info?
Awesome truck, I have been looking to get one. Do you know what the difference is between the townace and liteace trucks?
Hey @danielschachner799, I just looked into this because I was not aware of the differences myself. Basically what I found was that originally the Liteace and Townace vehicle lines were separate but in 1982 the truck versions became one in the same with the Townace trucks being just rebadged Liteace trucks. Which makes sense to me because if I search my vin/ frame code on parts websites my truck identifies as a Liteace. I also found something online that said up until 2020 different Toyota dealerships in Japan could have varying product offerings and the Liteace product was available at Toyota Auto Store dealerships while Townace could be purchased at Toyota Corolla Store dealerships. I thought this was interesting because my truck actually has a Toyota Corolla Dealership bumper sticker.
Nice truck. I just got 1997 Town Ace 1000kg. Like this size truck better than smaller k-truck. I am trying to order from Amayama, but don't know how to pay, cannot find payment link on site? Advice?
Hi @akoie9245, awesome truck! I tend to use amayama to find part numbers more that order items directly but generally you add the item to cart and then go through a checkout process, depending on the item it can be shipped immediately or they will get back to you in a few days with a quote, after which you will be able to pay and complete checkout. I found this section on their site that describes the process a bit better. I hope this helps. www.amayama.com/en/txt.help/how-to-buy
